"Baby, I know that I'm not smart. I'm not going to call myself something that I'm not." He set a hand on Cas' neck, pulling him close with a soft smile. "That's okay. I'm content with not making straight A's. I'm content with who I am."

Cas sighed, knowing he wouldt't win this. Instead, he wrapped his arms around his waist and pressed close to his chest "you are smart. And I'm gonna keep telling you that because it is true, even if you don't believe it."

"Baby…" Tolly's voice trailed off and he pulled Cas closer, nuzzling the top of his head. "Fine. You win this time, but only 'cause you're getting sad about it."

"That and because you know I'm right," he said with a small smile. He pressed a kiss to Tolly's chin before pulling away gently "ready to head to dinner? or are we staying here the whole time?"

"Well I didn't get all dressed up for nothing," Tolly teased, pecking Cas on the lips before he stood and stretched. He meandered to the door, gesturing for Cas to follow. "Let's go!"

Cas smiled and stood, adjusting his shirt. He headed out the door, taking Tolly's hand in his own and pulling him along to the car that was outside. "Mom and dad will meet us there," he said, hopping into the driver's seat and starting the car

Tolly settled happily in the passenger seat, reaching over to take one of Cas' hands with a soft grin. "Do I get a hint on the drive there?"

Cas thought for a moment to as he laced their fingers together. "None that I can think of that won't give it away, nope."

Tolly shook his head, a playful smile on his face. "Fine, can you tell me how far away it is then? All this mystery is making me excited to get there."

He smiled over at him "fine, I'll give you that one since you're so excited. Only a few miles, maybe 6 or 7." he faced forward again and focused on the road while lightly tracing circles on the back of his hand

"Oh! Did we see it on the drive over here?" Tolly squeezed Cas' hand excitedly and pressed his face up against the window, searching the buildings for some kind of fancy themes restaurant.

Cas laughed, finding tolly absolutely adorable "we're almost there, just a few more minutes." He reassured with a soft smile

"We'd better be, I'm hyped!!" Tolly's eyes still scanned the streets, less because he wanted to find the mystery restaurant and more because the skyline was really pretty in the light of the setting sun. "Oh! Take a look out my window, the sun's setting!!"

Cas just smiled, peeking over at tolly. He glanced up at a hill where a few cars were leaving and coming from a beautiful building. Cas pulled into the parkinglot and gazed up at beautiful restaurant. "We're here!" He announced, getting out of the car

Tolly seemed to get even more excited as he saw the building, kissing the back of Cas' hand before he dropped it and scrambled out of the car for a better look. "It's awesome!! Do we really get to eat in there!?"

Cas laughed and got out of the car. "Yeah, that's not even the best part." He waved Tolly over towards the door "come on!"

Tolly followed with a bounce in his step, head turning every five seconds so he could take in the beautiful building. "I'm coming, I'm coming!!"

Cas laughed and headed inside where his parents were waiting for him near a table by a door. He walked over and hugged both of them. Sorry we're a bit late,"

(Sorry for not responding! I came down with a cold and needed a few days to rest up)

Tolly smiled politely and took his seat by Cas, looking around the building eagerly. "So what's the surprise? This place is really fancy, but it's not, like, shocking or anything."

Cas laughed "liar, you were gaping at it the whole time we were walking up. Do that worry, we'll get to see it once we order our drinks."

Tolly shoved him playfully. "Yeah, but that's just 'cause it's a nice building. I'm allowed to gape at nice buildings without being shocked."

Cas rolled his eyes playfully and glanced up as a waitress came over "Water please," Cas ordered after her little introduction. His parents also ordered drinks before standing and guiding the two boys to an outside area. "I'm assuming this is what Cas is keeping secret," Lia said with a smile, following Lucien outside

"Oh yeah, he's been real tight-lipped about the whole thing." Tolly was bouncing excitedly on the balls of his feet, one hand looped through Cas' and one tapping his thigh in an unsteady rhythm. "Is it cool!? Will we have fun!?"

Lia shrugged with an amused laugh "Maybe, it's at least fun for us," Cas nodded and headed to the balcony. He gazed out onto the scenery, waterfalls and hot springs glittered in the moonlight. He made his way down the stairs to the closest hot spring and smiled as he caught his reflection in the water, the moon above them . Lia and lucien headed off to a gazebo while Cas and Tolly explored the area

Tolly gasped quietly, letting go of so he could set both hands on the railing and lean out over it to take in the scene. It took him a while to snap out of his daze and follow Cas down the stairs. "This place is… gorgeous!!"

Cas nodded "It's one of my favorite places to go," He sat down and pulled off his shoes. He rolled up his pants and stepped into one of the shallow pools of water. Around him and where he disturbed the water it glowed a purplish pink. Cas sighed softly and relaxed, releasing all the tension in his body

Tolly followed a few seconds later, rolling up the legs of his dress pants hastily so he could wade into the water alongside Cas. He took big splashy steps, pushing up the sleeves of his shirt so he could dip his hands into the pool and watch the water change around it.

Cas glanced over at tolly with a smile, watching as the water turned blue for him. "It shows you, thought the color, what you are. You're a lycanthrope so it glows blue. I'm a witch, so it glows pink. For elementals it glows red and so on for anyone that steps into the pool."

"It's enchanted?" He asked softly, wandering over to Cas to look at his colors with a curious hum. "Does it glow any color for normal humans?"

"it glows white for non-weirder." they can change that if they learn the craft marry into a magic welder. Dad was a normal human being before he met mom and learned everything she knew. Now he glows pink if he steps into the pool." He explained, kicking his feet slightly to watch the glowing particles scatter across the surface of the pool. "a lot of pools do similar things but for different aspects. Some are for minor and major future events, some are to show darker or light intents, some are just for fun, like a filter on your phone."
