"Because that look in your eyes…" Cas whispered, looking away. "You feel guilty for something."
"Because that look in your eyes…" Cas whispered, looking away. "You feel guilty for something."
"I don't… I'm fine," he sat upright and sighed deeply as he crossed his arms.
"I-I just… I want to believe you, but all my senses tell me you're not telling me something…"
"Well, your sense are incorrect."
"B-But I know you! I know how you act, and how you react to things, and I can sense and feel what you feel!" Cas turned back towards him, his eyes shining with tears. "And I know this isn't normal behavior for you!"
Sorin looked at him sympathetically and put a hand on his cheek. "Cas… i'm sorry. I didn't mean to make you upset. I…" he stopped, averting his gaze and shook his head. "I'm fine. Please believe me when I tell you that i'm fine."
Cas rubbed his eyes, shaking his head weakly. "But you… but you aren't acting fine…"
Sorin pulled him into a hug, burying his face into his chest. "It's okay… i'm okay."
"I-I'm sorry…" Cas whispered, clinging tightly to Sorin. His ears and tail twitched while he hid his face.
"There's no need to apologize, Cas…" he lowered his head and nuzzled his hair softly as guilt began eating away at him.
Cas could smell Sorin's guilt again, but attributed it to the fact that he was crying and Sorin probably blamed himself for it. Cas hiccuped, gripping Sorin's shirt tightly.
"I'm so sorry… I didn't mean to upset you…"
"It's okay…" Cas mumbled, his voice muffled by Sorin's shirt.
"No, it's not. Even though I don't mean to, I hate making you cry…"
"Well, I'm sorry that I cry all the time…"
You don't need to apologize to me."
"But I do… my being sensitive is making you feel guilty…"
"Well… not all the time. And besides, you have every right to feel what you feel."
Cas shrugged. "I'm kinda irrational sometimes, though."
Sorin shook his head and planted a kiss on his. "No, you really aren't and you're not going to convince me otherwise."
Cas sighed, nestling himself into the crook of Sorin's neck. "I really am, though…"
He sighed, knowing there was no other way he could change his mind. "You may think so…"
"I do. I think I'm a burden to you, no matter what you argue."
"No, I know I can't convince you otherwise, but the same goes for you. I don't believe you're a burden to me… doesn't matter what you do, or what you say, you're not a burden to me."
Cas sighed, looking away. "I just… I feel like you do so much for me, and I can never do enough in return."
"You being here is enough for me." Sorin whispered and planted another kiss on his head.
"But it's not. I've got no money, no… no talents. Hell, I can't even read."
"That doesn't mean I don't enjoy you being around me."
"Why, though? I provide next to nothing for you."
"Your love for me is more than enough…"
