”Wow. Can she hear us like this?” Abby asked observing the strange copper disk.
”Wow. Can she hear us like this?” Abby asked observing the strange copper disk.
"Not really but hold on." She said. After a bit a hologram of a woman popped up. Surprisingly it looked human. "This is Eve. Well, at least part of her."
The hologram waved at Ava. "Hello." She said. Her voice was deep and almost had a mother type tone to it.
Abby stared in amazement at the holographic image. She knew how Slyvian technology was far beyond what humans had but she still was surprised by it all. ”She’s beautiful.” she complimented, unable to think of anything else to say at the moment.
"Thank you. You are very pretty as well." Eve said, smiling warmly. "It is nice to meet you."
Abby couldn't stop the small blush at the compliment but was able to stay fairly collected. ”It’s nice to meet you too, Eve. I’m Abby.” she smiled back.
”Abby. That's a nice name. What are you doing here?” She said as she sat down on the table.
”Nyt brought me over to met her friends.” Abby gestured at her closest Slyvian friend. Though, ”friend” seemed to be a little too simple for them. Of course, they were friends but Nyt was also a part of the team of Ambassadors that they started. Her blush darkened slightly as Abby remembered all the times she had been practically flirting with her and the little kiss… not to mention the new nickname that had ’just slipped out’ last night.
Nyt waved at Eve to single which one she was, though she probably already knew.
”Are you alright? Your face is getting red. Are you sick?” Eve asked, cocking her head a bit and reaching her arm up to try to touch Abby's face.
Abby smiled and shook her head. ”No, I'm not sick. I'm fine.” she assured before looking at the group. ”Do Slyvians get sick? I mean, in a similar way that humans do.”
Ava and Nyt looked at each other. ”Well how do humans get sick?” Ava asked. Nyt leaned forward and rested her arms on her knees.
”It depends on what kind of sickness they get.” Abby told them with a shrug. ”The common cold and flu are the most well-known while cancer has a lot of… variety, I guess is a good word.” she tried to explain.
”Well we have our variety of sickness as well. What do you mean by getting sick exactly?” Ava said, trying to prompt for more information.
Abby shrugged. ”Normally it involves a fever, lack of energy, a hard time breathing and generally just an overall feeling of not being well. Those are the most basic symptoms including sneezing but that one doesn't always happen or mean sickness.” she explained as best she could. ”The symptoms can vary from one case to another or even person to person depending on a few things that I'm having trouble remembering.”
“Well we uselessly get a lack of energy, extreme cold flashes and sleep a lot when we get sick but that's for the most common illnesses.“ Ava explained.
Abby nodded. ”That sounds pretty similar to ours. Fevers can make us feel like we're burning up or freezing. Sleeping it off helps a lot along with staying hydrated.”
Nyt laughed. ”Did you know they only have one heart?” She asked Ava.
Ava turned to Abby, eyes wide. ”Wait, what?” She asked.
(I'm so sorry that I haven't been keeping up with all our role-plays! I've been really busy lately and I probably wont be on as much on weekends as well as after school. I'm sorry!)
(It's ok. I understand.)
Abby laughed at Ava’s surprise. ”Yes, humans only have one heart and only one stomach. It surprised me when Nyt told me you had three.”
Ava looked her up and down. "I guess it would make sense. You are quite a bit smaller than us and you don't have a tail so that's one less limb." She mused aloud.
Abby crossed her arms and slouched against the couch. ”Not all humans are the same height. I just happened to get the literal short stick.” she grumped playfully.
”Well how tall do humans usually get? And don't worry, I got the short end as well.” Ava said, gesturing to Zara and Nyt, who were a lot taller than her.
Abby smiled at Ava. ”Yeah, I kinda noticed but I'm glad to know not all Slyvians tower over me.” she winked playfully. ”I'm not sure exactly how tall most people get but I think somewhere between 5’5” and almost 6’ is average though I know there are some who get taller than that. But not many.” she shrugged.
Ava nodded. "So most of your race is smaller than a average Sylvian. Most Sylvians reach about 6´6 to 6´10 though some do reach 7 foot." She explained.
Abby blinked in surprise for a moment. ”Uh… yeah, it seems like it. Nyt told me that Nyxis was smaller than Earth, so I figured it had lower gravity and that's why you're all so tall.” she shifted, hoping that wasn't too forward an explanation.
Ava nodded. "Most likely. We were farther away from our sun than your were here which is why out skin is colored the way it is." She said.
Abby nodded. ”Nyt mentioned that too and that you're not as bothered by the cold either.”
Ava shook her head. ”We´re not. Its pretty normal to us.” She said. ”How well do human take the cold?”
Abby shrugged. ”Depends on the human, personally, I don't like anything under 60 degrees but locally I think it's considered cold when it gets around 50.” she explained. ”But there were people who used to live in areas where it got pretty far below zero.”
Ava nodded. "How hot is hot for you?" She asked.
Abby raised a brow. ”Personally or as a species?” she asked smiling. ”Because for me it's upper 90s and for most people, I think triple digits is too hot.”
”Geez! We usually consider upper 70s hot!” Nyt said.
”Well, I think that the 80s are hot!” Ava butt in.
