”Thanks! And okay." Cal said with a happy tone, he picked up the instructions and looked at them closely to see what was next.

Finn picked up the measuring cup and filled it with water. Pouring it into the bowl. "Now we mix. Do you want to do it?" He asked handing Cal the spoon.

Cal grabbed it gently and set it into the bowl. "Sure!" He slowly started to mix the batter. (Sorry for the late reply lol)

“You have to go a little faster. So there’s no lumps of batter,” Finn explained watching over Cal’s shoulder.

"Ok." Cal said softly, stirring a little faster than before. He concrecated on the stirring making sure he wouldn't mess up somehow.

“You’re doing good,” Finn said smiling. “I bet your not as bad as you think you are.”

Cal smiled back in return. "I wouldn't say that just yet." He said with a light chuckle.

Finn laughed as well. "I guess we'll just have to wait and see," Finn said looking in the bowl. "Ca you get a pan? I'll make sure its mixed."

"Sure." Cal grabbed a pan and set it next to the bowl and smiled. I wonder why he's so nice.

Finn mixed the batter a little more before pouring it into the pan. “Can you turn on the oven?” He asked as scraped up the last of the batter. “The temperature is on the box.”

"Mhm." Cal hummed in reply. Grabbing the box softly he looked at it and put the oven on the temperature it said. Lets hope it doesn't burn this time.

“Good. We didn’t pre heat it but we can just pop it in anyway,” Finn said taking the pan and slipping it into the oven. “We’ll check on it in a half an hour.” He set a timer on his phone.

"Sweet!" Cal said in a happy tone, sitting on the counter. The only question he had now was what were they going to do in that half hour. "So….what now?"

"I don't know," Finn said shrugging. "We can just hang out and wait. We can play a game." He leaned on the counter across from Cal.

"Hmm…what kind of game do you wanna play?" Cal asked with curiosity. Video games weren't big in number in his house since his dads didn't really like them. (Omg please ten questions I like drama and secrets spilled lol)

(Is that like 20 questions or something)
“Maybe ten question or some kind of question game,” Finn said still smiling. He wanted to get to know the other boy even if he knew he couldn’t be any more than friends with him.

(It's like 10 questions for each person.)
"Oooh that sounds like a good idea!" Cal said with a little excitement. Sure, he and Finn were two completely different people, but maybe there was something they had in common.

"Ok nice! Do you want to go sit somewhere? We can go check the cake when my alarm goes off," Finn suggested.

"We could always just go to the living room!" Cal said with a suggestive voice and smile. "And that's a good idea."

"Great lead the way!" He said gesturing towards the kitchen door. His eyes lingered on Cal and his smile turned to a slight smirk.

"Ok!" Cal said with a big smile before noticing Finn's slight smirk. He blushed slightly and led him to the living room area.

Finn followed sitting down on the couch. ”Do you want to ask first?” he asked his smirk turning back to a small smile.

"Sure!" Cal took a moment to think of some questions before asking. Hmm..I got it! (Idk how to format this soo lol)

You got anything you hate?
Which is better, being asleep or awake?

What's the coolest thing ever?

What type of person do you like best? Cal asked, not thinking of what the last question was.

Finn thought for a long second. ”umm I love cats and color is purple. I hate disappointing people. Being awake. Invisibility. I don't really have a nickname but…” he paused having to think again. ”the sign name my sister gave me is Fish.” he signs ’fish’ as he says it. ”Depends on what that other thing is but I can't really leave poppy behind so I'd have to say myself. What was the last one again?” he asked trying to think back?

"I think it was what type of person you like best?" Cal said looking slightly towards the kitchen as the smell of cake wafted through the air slowly. He had been so distracted he hadn't of noticed just what exactly he had been saying. Looking back from the kitchen, he looked at Finn and smiled softly.

"If you're asking what my type is I guess shorter than me, good with kids, kind and smart. If you are talking friends I guess the same thing personality-wise," Finn answered smiling softly. "My turn?"

Cal took a moment to process what was said before he realized what the original question was. Blushing a strawberry red he nodded slightly, hoping Finn thought he meant friend wise. "Y-yeah."

Finn's smile widened slightly. He tried not to think about how cute Cal's blush was.
"Ok then… What do you like to do?

After he finished he looked down at their phone to see that they only had a few minutes left. Cal will have just enough time to answer the questions before they had to go check on the cake. He tried not to think too hard about what he asked.
