@Fraust
"Love…" Cas whined. "You're doing plenty."
"Love…" Cas whined. "You're doing plenty."
He shook his head again, his finger lightly brushing his cheekbone. "No… "
"Why don't you think so, baby?" Cas gently kissed his cheek.
"I don't feel like I've done anything that significant for you."
"What?? You literally took me in off the streets, gave me food, shelter, and you even started dating me! How is that not significant??"
"I… you need something better," his fingers began brushing the side of his face, just barely touching the surface. "Something much better."
"What could be better than a new start with someone I love?"
A small smile tugged on his lips and he couldn't help but pepper his face with a few small kisses. "Now, what did I do to deserve someone like you?"
Cas couldn't keep himself from grinning a bit as well, blushing again. "W-Well, it all started when I pretended you were my brother in a random park so some old lady wouldn't turn me in."
He smiled widely at that and let out a soft laugh. "How have you prevented yourself from being thrown in foster care for so long?"
Cas shrugged. "Mostly pulling stuff like that and generally avoiding middle aged ladies."
Sorin nodded. "Right. That makes… sense."
"Yeah… turns out, just about everyone else is content to let me run around alone, assuming my mother is probably nearby or something."
"That's not really– Actually," Sorin scratched the back of his head and pondered for a moment. "you're fifteen. I'm sure they thought you were old enough to do such things."
"Well, I don't look fifteen, and I also mean when I was younger."
"Oh, right. Then that is weird… but I think it's because you aren't exactly… human, I think."
Cas shrugged again. "I always had my ears and tail hidden until I met you."
"I still don't quite understand why humans won't accept us… You've been here longer; how long has it been like this?"
"As long as I can remember, and probably long before then, and probably far into the future."
Sorin hummed and nodded in understanding then shrugged. "Well that sucks," he gently pried Cas off of him and took his plate away, stopping almost instantly on his way to the kitchen. "Right, I forgot… Are you done eating this?"
Cas nodded, fidgeting with his hands as soon as Sorin stepped away from him. "People don't tend to like nekos very much…"
"Yeah, not here or back home," he set the plate into the sink and turned on the faucet, wincing slightly when he found the water too cold. "I get why people don't like them all that much where i'm from, but Nekos here don't seem too bad."
"You haven't met any nekos here other than me, love." Cas yawned, still fidgeting. "I'm not like most people or most nekos. Some are kinda weird and even violent."
"Oh, that I know for sure," Sorin wiped his hands on the towel nearby and ambled toward the other. "But I honestly thought the ones here were different."
Cas shrugged. "They're more mischievous than anything, but they can be kinda destructive."
His face lit up with curiosity as he sat down next to him. "How many have you met, exactly?"
"Um… a few in the streets, mostly. They tend to band together for protection and go around nicking things from people who aren't looking. I didn't want to join a group like that."
"And i'm glad you didn't," he gave him a small smile. "You weren't worried about them? Just how dangerous are they around here?"
Cas shrugged again. "Like I said, they're more mischievous than dangerous. They never do much more than stealing wallets or food."
He nodded. "Right. Nekos here are definitely more… tolerable," he let out a small chuckle and moved closer to him.
