"What're you sorry for?" Cas asked curiously, cocking his head to the side a bit.
"What're you sorry for?" Cas asked curiously, cocking his head to the side a bit.
"For laughing. I thought you might've been… nevermind."
Cas shrugged again. "Nah… I know I was really small. Apparently I was only about two or three pounds when I was born."
"Wow, that's surprisingly… small. So, you were premature?"
He shook his head. "Not really. Maybe a week or two, but nekos are smaller than people on average, and I'm just especially small. I think four or five pounds is typical for nekos."
"Oh, right. I forgot nekos here were different than the ones at home."
Cas nodded. "But like I said, I'm small even by neko standards."
"That doesn't change the fact that you're still beautiful."
He shrugged, looking away. "If you say so…"
The corner of his lips curved into a small smile and Sorin bent down to plant yet another kiss to his head. "So, how are you liking that job so far."
"It's alright." Cas shrugged. "It's really hard to stay awake all day, though."
"Yeah, I know… I could always be the one to work while you stay home though. I really don't like seeing you struggle."
"No… we need money, and I wouldn't do well if I was left home alone."
"Yeah… Yeah you're right," he admitted and began to nuzzle his hair.
"I know I'm right, love." Cas stuck out his tongue, laughing a bit.
"Speaking of work, how come Daniel likes you so much?" From what he's learned about him for the years he's known him, Daniel never really liked anyone.
"I have no idea, honestly." Cas shrugged. "I can't figure it out either."
Sorin nodded. "Right…but to be honest, who wouldn't like you?"
Cas shrugged again. "Me, I guess. And homophobes."
"Homophobes makes sense, I guess, but I seriously don't see what's not to like about you."
"I could go on and on, but I kinda already have and I haven't any time to do that."
"Every 'flaw' that you think you have is just another reason why you're so lovable."
Cas looked away, blushing again. "How so, love?"
"Well, for starters, i'd rather have someone 'overly emotional' than someone who's as unfeeling and apathetic as Berenice was," Sorin's thumb began stroking the other's cheek, relishing the warmth that radiated from his skin. "It… makes it easier to share certain things with you. I don't have to worry about being judged based on the way I feel about certain things."
Cas purred softly at Sorin's touch, closing his eyes. "I suppose so… but it still makes it hard for you when I get upset over nothing."
"No, not really. You may think so, but it doesn't necessarily makes things hard for me, Cas."
"How does it not?" Cas asked curiously.
"You're entitled to feel a certain way and I always try to understand that."
"But what about when I'm being irrational? Doesn't that make it harder for you to understand?"
"Since when have you ever been irrational?"
