Betty walked downstairs and saw who was at the door and stayed at the bottom of the staircase.
Betty walked downstairs and saw who was at the door and stayed at the bottom of the staircase.
Lysander growled baring his fangs. ”I told you to stay away from here!”
”You did.” Henry nodded. ”But I was sure she would be either drained or not mortal by now.” he smirked before scowling deeply at Betty. ”Seems you're still as weak as ever, Lysander.”
Betty Glared At him " You Think he's Gonna try and Hurt an Oracle? " she asked.
Henry raised a brow in surprise. ”An Oracle?” he scoffed. ”Those are about as real as Santa Claus, little girl.”
”Shut up, Henry!” Lysander barked. ”You don't get to talk to my future wife… who is a real Oracle.”
She bit her cheek "I'm not afraid of you I'm more powerful than you" she said.
Henry laughed hard and darkly at Betty's statement. ”You poor delusional mortal. You should be afraid of me. You have no idea what I can do to you. You are nothing but a blood bag to me.” he mocked. ”What? You really believe that Lysander is powerful? He is the weakest vampire I know aside from a newly turned.”
She Rolled Her eyes "Your such a suckup" she said.
Both men stared at her in surprised confusion, unsure what to make of those words.
”Was that a vampire joke?” Lysander snickered eventually.
Henry’s glare darkened. ”Tell me, ”Oracle”, of those present; who is about to die.”
" it doesn't work liie that dumbass" she said
”You wench!” Henry snarled as he went to charge past Lysander and attempted to harm, if not kill, Betty.
Lysander saw this coming and swiftly punched Henry in the face, smirking when he felt something break. ”I warned you not to touch or speak to my wife!”
Betty narrowed her eyes at the vampire on the floor
Henry stood back up and quickly snapped his broken nose back into place with a grimace. ”I don't need to to make her suffer.” Henry growled at Lysander, locking his gaze on Betty he cast an illusion of darkness over her.
Betty looked around then looked back at henry her eyes turning white
Lysander delivered another blow, this time to Henry's ribs. “Henry, stop this before I rip your fangs out!” Vampires couldn't be affected by another's illusion unless they wanted to be, so Lysander had no idea what Betty was seeing.
When Henry felt the hit, the illusion flickered for a moment as he briefly lost focus on it. He smirked darkly as he kept Betty completely blind to what was happening. Slowly he let it receded so she could see at least an arm's length around her before letting a very convincing image of Lysander fall at her feet, dead.
Betty lost it she fell apart on her knees the man she loved was dead at her feet she was now officially sobbing
”Betty!” Lysander cried out as he heard her breakdown. ”You sick bast-” he was cut off when Henry punched him in the side of his head, knocking him down but not out. ”What are you making her see?”
”Watch your mouth, little brother.” Henry snarled before snickering. ”I’m actually letting her see you. Seems like she really is scared of you.”
She threw a hand to her mouth to contain her sobs "Please Don't leave me" she sobbed out
“Y-you’re lying.” Lysander growled, not looking at Henry for a moment before glaring back at him. ”Your quarrel is with me. Leave her out of it and drop your illusion.”
”Why should I? You'll always be weak, Lysander!” Henry looked at him in disgust. ”I don't know why Charles turned you. You aren't worthy of this. And now you're deluding yourself into thinking that this pathetic human cares about you? There's only two things they want out of us.”
"Please I love you Come back to me" she said.
Lysander clamped his hand tightly around Henry's neck, glaring viciously. ”You’re wrong. Betty would never want that.” he snarled softly. ”You think I give a damn! Unlike you; I didn't ask for this!”
”ENOUGH!!” A hand tore Lysander’s grip away from Henry but swiftly grabbed the blond vampires ear. ”Drop it, Henry!”
More out of surprise than pain, Henry let the illusion shatter.
Betty blinked her eyes now a bright white she wiped her
(What do you mean her real dad? I was planning on that being Charles but now you got me curious )
(No let it be chrales hehe)
”Charles? What are you doing here? Let me go!” Lysander demanded, though clearly surprised at the man’s interference.
Charles was a taller man with hard hazel eyes and pitch-black hair, though there were a few strands of white as well. ”How far away do I need to separate you two this time?” he growled lowly, sounding very annoyed.
”You can throw him to the sun for all I care!” Henry snarked, continuing to glare.
Betty Gulped, stepping back. She had seen this Man before and He Had seen her.
”Henry, you're lucky I don't arrange for you to live in a glass house in Alaska during the summer.” Charles warned before turning to Lysander. ”And you. for the hundredth time: if you go for the throat, use your fangs, boy. Now, go and take care of the girl.”
Lysander stared for a moment as Charles released his wrist then ran over to Betty, kneeling in front of her. ”Betty, are you alright?”
She wrapped her arms around him burying her face in his neck, trembling.
Lysander gently returned the gesture and rubbed soothing circles on her back. “It’s alright. It wasn't real. You’re safe now.” Well, safe was relative with the other two men in the room. Charles probably only interfered because he hated seeing ”his boys” fight.
”Now, Henry, you go home and stay there until I come over. You and I are going to have a long talk.” Charles instructed firmly, giving the younger vampires ear a slight tug before releasing it.
Henry had stayed completely still, not wanting to accidentally lose his ear. ”Yes, father.” he grumbled, rubbing his ear slightly as he left still glaring at Lysander and Betty.
"Charles" she muttered under her breath
Lysander shuddered at hearing her speak his name. ”It’s alright, Betty. I won't let him hurt you.”
Charles stood against the other wall, just watching, giving the two of them space and time to calm down from Henry's outburst.
