Nolan brushed his hair back. He sighed softly. He felt at peace.
Nolan brushed his hair back. He sighed softly. He felt at peace.
Ayce fell asleep, curled close to Nolan.
(Mind if I timeskip?)
(Not at all)
Nolan fell asleep after a little while. There was a small smile on his face
In the morning…
Ayce had woken up shaking and crying a few times in the night, and each time it had taken him a while to calm down. He was cuddled next to Nolan, head resting on Nolan's chest. He was still mostly asleep, though he was beginning to wake up already.
Nolan groaned as he bgan to wake. Ayce had woken him up several times during the night crying. He took extra care to comfort him back to sleep each time. He rubbed the male's back soothingly and kissed his head.
Ayce sleepily opened his eyes, looking at Nolan. For a moment, fear flashed in his blue eyes, before he remembered where he was. Not there anymore not at Raifa anymore not there anymore… He reminded himself.
"I've got you." Nolan said softly. "You're safe." He trailed his fingertips up and down his back soothingly. "How about we take today off and get back on the road tomorrow? How does that sound?"
Ayce nodded, and cuddled up to him. "Okay." He agreed, blinking. "Thank you…" He bit his lip. Jay wouldn't like the delay but…but…I don't want to keep going today I would rather just stay here. He swallowed.
Nolan smiled. "May I kiss you sweetheart?" He asked quietly, looking down at him with a hopeful expression
Ayce nodded slowly. "Yeah." He said softly. He gave a tiny, flickering smile, looking rather unsure of himself, a little hesitant.
Nolan had a soft smile as he ducked his head, pressing his lips to Ayce's tenderly. He gripped the back of his head.
Ayce kissed him back, a little hesitant and shy. He held onto Nolan's shirt with his hands, as he had nearly all night. As if he was scared that if he let go, the other male would leave.
Nolan kept the kiss tender and passionate. He didn't want to scare Ayce away. His thumb stroked his skin softly.
Ayce leaned against him, closing his eyes as he returned the kiss. He's so…gentle. Not like…like Jay…he was never… He swallowed slightly.
Nolan pulled away but leaned his forehead against his. "Do you want some breakfast sweetheart?" He rasped in his rough morning voice
Ayce opened his eyes, blue eyes slightly unfocused. "Okay." He said softly, shifting a little.
Nolan kissed his brow. He slowly slid out of bed. He reached his hand out for Ayce.
Ayce took his hand, standing up. He winced slightly as he straightened and tugged on his wounds, blinking. He took a deep breath, looking at Nolan.
Nolan cupped his cheek with his other hand. "Everything alright?" He asked him.
Ayce nodded. "Yeah." He breathed, leaning into Nolan's hand. "I'm okay…."
Nolan smiled at him. "Okay. If sometging is wrong I want you to tell me okay?"
"Okay." He said softly, holding onto Nolan's hand. "I will." He looked at Nolan. Ayce looked a lot better sith his hair clean and cut, along with his skin no longer covered in dried blood.
"Good." Nolan gave him another smile. He led him down the stairs of the hotel. He got them both breakfast and sat them somwhere less crowded.
Ayce froze up a little around all the people, eyes flickering as he stuck close to Nolan, clinging to his hand.
Nolan held his hand, squeezing comfortingly. He sat down next to Ayce. "Try to eat half." He said, gesturing to the small portion he had fixed for him
Ayce noodded, looking at the plate. He picked up the fork in his free hand and beginning to slowly eat. He wasn't sure he could. It was a small portion, he knew, but…he bit his lip slightly.
"Good." Nolan praised as Ayce began to eat. He took small bites himself, trying to encourage him to eat more
Ayce took a deep breath, eating slowly. His eyes flickered from Nolan, to his food, then back, as he slowly forced himself to eat the food on his plate.
Nolan just kept nodding and encouraging him to eat more. Ir would take a while to nurse Ayce back to heal but he would be there every step if the way
Ayce had only eaten a little bit, as he was taking very small bites each time. The food still tasted…odd. It had been so long since he was given more than the bare minimum that would keep him alive, and he wasn't quite sure what to do. Wasn't quite sure how his body would handle it.
