In the morning…
Ayce had woken up shaking and crying a few times in the night, and each time it had taken him a while to calm down. He was cuddled next to Nolan, head resting on Nolan's chest. He was still mostly asleep, though he was beginning to wake up already.

Nolan groaned as he bgan to wake. Ayce had woken him up several times during the night crying. He took extra care to comfort him back to sleep each time. He rubbed the male's back soothingly and kissed his head.

Ayce sleepily opened his eyes, looking at Nolan. For a moment, fear flashed in his blue eyes, before he remembered where he was. Not there anymore not at Raifa anymore not there anymore… He reminded himself.

"I've got you." Nolan said softly. "You're safe." He trailed his fingertips up and down his back soothingly. "How about we take today off and get back on the road tomorrow? How does that sound?"

@ElderGod-Icefire

Ayce nodded, and cuddled up to him. "Okay." He agreed, blinking. "Thank you…" He bit his lip. Jay wouldn't like the delay but…but…I don't want to keep going today I would rather just stay here. He swallowed.

Ayce kissed him back, a little hesitant and shy. He held onto Nolan's shirt with his hands, as he had nearly all night. As if he was scared that if he let go, the other male would leave.

"Okay." He said softly, holding onto Nolan's hand. "I will." He looked at Nolan. Ayce looked a lot better sith his hair clean and cut, along with his skin no longer covered in dried blood.

Ayce noodded, looking at the plate. He picked up the fork in his free hand and beginning to slowly eat. He wasn't sure he could. It was a small portion, he knew, but…he bit his lip slightly.

@ElderGod-Icefire

Ayce had only eaten a little bit, as he was taking very small bites each time. The food still tasted…odd. It had been so long since he was given more than the bare minimum that would keep him alive, and he wasn't quite sure what to do. Wasn't quite sure how his body would handle it.
