(sorry. Long day at work.)
Abby slowly woke up at the cuddling but didn't move to discourage it, letting Nyt rest a bit longer. She kept her eyes closed and held her close, smiling contentedly.
(It's fine! I'm busy with homecoming anyways.)
Nyt held her eyes closed but was already awake. She just didn't want to move. It was do comfy. She adjusted herself so it Abby wanted to leave or move she could.
Abby giggled softly and nestled closer. ”Good morning, Nyt.” she whispered, keeping her eyes closed still.
Once Nyt knew Abby was awake, she relaxed a bit more. "Morning Abby. Did you sleep well?" She asked, nuzzling her a bit.
”Very well.” Abby sighed. ”Though it's still weird sleeping with my mask off and actually waking up.” she smiled. ”How did you sleep?”
"I slept pretty well. The beds here are extremely soft." Nyt said as she slowly opened her eyes to look at Abby. "It will probably take awhile to get used to the mask not br in there but it will be okay."
Abby nodded, looking back at Nyt. ”They really are nice.” she smiled, still cuddling. ”I know it will be. Even if the air outside can't be fixed, this is going to have a huge impact.”
Nyt nodded. "We should be able to figure out what caused it and hopefully fix it." She said as she stroked her hair.
Abby smiled happily at the gesture. ”As long as it doesn't cause any problems for you either.”
Nyt shook her head. "Unlikely. Nitrogen isn't affected by oxygen that much so I don't think it will do too much." She said.
(Sorry! I was at a homecoming dance!)
Abby raised a brow. ”You breathe nitrogen?” she asked, a bit surprised. ”That’s interesting. I really should ask more questions about that kind of stuff.”
(It's ok. Hope you had fun!)
Nyt nodded. "Yep! We don't have a lot of oxygen in our atmosphere so we evolved to breath oxygen." She explained. "Which is funny because oxygen on here is one of the lesser gasses but you still breath it."
Abby shrugged. ”I guess it is a little. I never really thought about it.” she sat up slowly and stretched her arms over her head. ”Is there anything else I need to know about Slyvian biology? Two hearts, multiple stomachs?” she joked, though her interest was genuine.
Nyt sat up as well. "Well we do have three hearts and two stomachs. How many do humans have?" She asked.
”Really? Where?” Abby looked at Nyt in surprise. ”Humans only have one of each of those. I think the only internal organs we have multiple of is lungs and kidneys.” she explained.
Nyt pointed in a triangle shaped for her chest. "Those are the hearts and these are the stomachs." She said as pointed at two places on her lower abdomen.
“Wow! That’s amazing.” Abby smiled, marveling at the reminder that Nyt was an alien. Once this gets settled down we should have a couple of doctors from both species exchange notes on biology. ”If I knew more about medicine, I’d have so many questions.”
Nyt chuckled. "You guys only have one heart?" She asked. "How do you function properly?"
”Yep. Right here.” Abby smiled, placing her hand over her heart. ”I’m trying to wrap my head around how three hearts work.” she laughed.
Nyt put her hand where her heart was. "Woah!" She said pulling her hand back. "It's beating so fast!"
Abby raised a brow. ”It might just be because I’m a little surprised. Or… How fast is yours?” she asked.
Nyt shook her head. "Not nearly that fast. Around 42 beats a minutes for resting.
”For all three?” Abby asked. ”For humans, I think 100 a minute is a pretty average number.” she explained.
Nyts eyes widened. "A hundred! For all three outs go at around 110 beats! How does one heart do that?" She asked.
Abby laughed at Nyt’s expression. ”I honestly don't know. I'm not a cardiologist. Maybe it's just strong?” she suggested.
(Ahhhh! I thought I replied!)
Nyt blinked a bit before shaking her head. ”Humans are weird!” She teased.
(It's ok.)
”Hey!” Abby exclaimed in mock offense, her hand brushed against Nyt’s ribs as she playfully pushed her back down. ”We're not that weird.” she laughed.
Nyt chuckled as Abby tried to push her down. "Their not too strong either." She teased as she grabbed her and pulled her onto her lap with ease.
Abby squeaked in surprise as she was picked up. ”I wasn't really trying.” she protested with a smile, knowing she probably wouldn't have been able to move Nyt unless she wanted to be moved.
“You couldn’t move me if you tried.“ Nyt said as she pulled her in closer. “And I could lift you with a single hand!“
