Cas shivered. "It only would've been another couple of minutes, love… ow…" He rubbed one of his temples with two fingers, wincing. He was definitely getting a migraine now.
Cas shivered. "It only would've been another couple of minutes, love… ow…" He rubbed one of his temples with two fingers, wincing. He was definitely getting a migraine now.
"A couple more minutes and it your pain could turn into something much worse. I'm not risking that."
"I'm sure I'd live… maybe it wouldn't be very fun, but eh…" He winced again at a sharp jab at the back of his eyes.
"See? It's bad isn't it," Sorin caught a glimpse of a small pharmacy and glided down there carefully.
"Getting worse…" He finally admitted with a sigh, his vision beginning to blur.
"Now imagine what would've happened if we stayed there longer," he walked into the pharmacy, still holding Cas in his arms and searched the isles for aspirin. "On a scale of one to ten, how bad is it?"
Cas stuck his tongue out a bit as he thought. "I dunno… like… seven, or something…"
"Ah fuck," Sorin bent down and grabbed the bottle of aspirin once he found it and hurried over to the counter to pay. "I could take you to a doctor or something."
"No, it's just a migraine… I don't need a doctor." He lay his head against Sorin's chest and closed his eyes.
"Alright," he grabbed the bag of aspirin and headed out the door. "But if this doesn't work, i'll take you there."
"Okay…" Cas grimaced again, covering his ears from the sound of the traffic on the road beside them.
Sorin made sure he was secured before he flew them home. He fumbled for the keys in his pocket and eventually opened the door, resting the other on the couch.
"Mm…" He whined softly to himself. "Can I have the aspirin now, love?"
Sorin pulled it out of the bag and quickly handed him two pills. "I'll go get you some water." He hurried over to the kitchen and poured him a glass of water.
Cas swallowed the pills once Sorin returned and covered his head with a pillow to muffle all sound. "Thanks…" He mumbled.
He sat down next to him and lowered his head, pulled the pillow aside and kissed his head before setting the pillow back down. "Let me know if you need anything else." Sorin got up and went to retrieve a blanket, tucking the other in to make sure he was comfortable.
"Mhmm… love you…" His voice was muffled through the pillow, but still audible. The aspirin would take a little bit to work, so he'd just have to deal with the pain for now.
"Love you too," he lied next to him. "I know this thing might take a while for it to take effect but… is there anything else I could do to make it more comfortable for you? An extra pillow, maybe?"
"Just you and some quiet…" Cas cuddled up against Sorin and buried his face in his chest.
"Alright," he said in almost a whisper. Sorin stroked his hair but was heedful not to make any direct contact with his head, fearing that it might make his migraine worse.
Cas purred softly, pushing his head up into Sorin's hand. He stayed silent for now, figuring he could speak when the migraine went away.
Sorin smiled and lowered his head to kiss the tip of his nose.
It took Cas about half an hour to finally relax and start feeling better. "I think it's going away now…" He whispered.
"Is it?" he gave him a broad smile. "Um… on a scale of one to ten, how does it feel now?"
"Mmm… maybe a three. It still hurts, but it's more at a normal headache level now." Cas yawned.
He nodded and nuzzled his cheek. "We still have some of those cookies we made, you know. Would you like me to go get you one, love?"
"That'd be nice…" Cas kissed him softly and reluctantly pulled away from him.
"Alright, I'll go get them for you," he gave him a peck before heading to the kitchen. Sorin grabbed a small plate, putting three extra cookies instead of the one and poured him a large glass of milk before handing it to him.
"Thanks, love." Cas sat up so he could drink some of the milk. His ears seemed to prick up when he did.
"No need to thank me," he smiled and sat next to him.
