Zav groaned. "Well, any other man in my position would be smirking and grinning to have three girls in his crew." He replied dryly, raking a hand through his hair as he walked over to Charlotte.
Zav groaned. "Well, any other man in my position would be smirking and grinning to have three girls in his crew." He replied dryly, raking a hand through his hair as he walked over to Charlotte.
Charlotte could not hold back the raucous laughter at Zav’s statement. She knew it was true, and she was very thankful that flirting was all the farther the two of them had gone, but his exasperated tone just set her off. ”I’m sorry, Captain. It's just not often that you meet an honorable sailor. I mean no disrespect.”
Delila heard that she had been found out about and just relaxed. Based off the way they talked they didn’t mean any harm, though she would still be wary. She slowly stood up and leaned against the wall, still hiding her leg and eye. Cyborgs were often associated with Crime or Pirates even though most cyborgs weren’t. Often they got targeted by pirates for their robot body parts.
”Ya got me. What do you want me to do?” She asked.
Zav looked at Charlotte with a grin. "It's fine. I'm actually surprised you were alright with coming with me, considering that i am both male, and a Sha'liss. That isnt the best reputation." He chuckled softly, and turned to the second stowaway, becoming serious again. "Same question I asked the other girl. You're welcome to stay, but I don't do freeloaders. You work for your keep. I am the captain, so you will have to be alright with taking orders from a Sha'liss. If that grates your nerves the wrong way, then leave. I don't intend to press charges. Police wouldn't believe me anyway." Something unidentifiable flashed across his face for a moment, then was gone.
Delila nodded.
“That all sounds fine with me Captain.“ She said as she stuffed her hands in her pocket. “How soon are we leaving?“ She asked, wanting to leave here as soon as possible.
Yaver gazed at the ground as they spoke. Something occupied her mind, seemingly only for a split second, but Yaver found herself lost in thought. Her gaze wandered, not focused on anything in particular as she lingered on the thought, letting it roll around in her head as a simple movement in her vision snapped her out of the trance. She reached into her pocket and tied her hair up into a high ponytail.
Charlotte smiled at the turn of events. ”I don't have a preference, if that's what you mean Zav. And I’m not racist or speciesist either. I try not to judge on stuff like that. I really prefer to get to know a person.” It’ll be nice to have an actual conversation with someone who isn't as shallow as a puddle and completely full of themselves. She turned to the two stowaways, ”So what do we call you ladies? I’m Charlotte.”
Zav nodded at the second stowaway. "Within the next few days. There are still some preparations to be made." He replied. He looked at Charlotte, and nodded. "Yeah. And for that, I'll have to thank you." He replied, then raised an eyebrow slightly at the question. "Oh yes. Names might be helpful so I'm not yelling "hey you" all the time."
Delila looked up at Zav, pulling her hat down in front of her eyes when doing so.
“Delila,“ She said looking back at the ground after a minute.. “And yours?“
Yaver blinked, almost losing her balance as she chimed in.
"You can call me Yaver," She breathed, following the other three, "It's very nice to meet you all." She finished with a smile.
Zav nodded, and looked at Delila. "You can call me Zav, Zavace, Cylor, captain, or any combination of them." He replied. He gave a small smile. "It's nice to meet you both."
“You too, Captain.“ Delila said, nodding to him.
(bumping cause I don't know what to say)
Yaver walked with the other three, listening to the conversation. She wasn't sure exactly what the next several days, or weeks, or even months, lay ahead of her, but that's what she was most excited about.
