"I dunno… I'm a tad overwhelmed." Cas hummed, pivoting his head to see everything. "And I don't know much about fairs."
"I dunno… I'm a tad overwhelmed." Cas hummed, pivoting his head to see everything. "And I don't know much about fairs."
He nodded and looked around for something to do. He was drawn by the small cotton candy stand and figured it was a good way to start. "You want some cotton candy?"
"Sure! I've never had it. What's it like?" Cas asked, allowing Sorin to drag him along.
"It's very soft… an sweet. It's like… It's like eating a cloud," he didn't exactly know how to describe it, but it was the best he could come up with. The man in front of them gave them a small, yet tense smile.
"What color do you want?" He pointed at the array of different colors in front of them.
"Any color is fine." Cas got a blue one and examined it curiously. "Do I just… bite it? How do I eat this?"
Sorin picked off a small piece and put it in his mouth. "Like that." He gave him a smile and payed for the cotton candy.
Cas carefully pulled off a large piece of cotton candy and shoved the entire piece into his mouth.
"Do you like it?" he draped an arm over the other's shoulder and pulled him close. Sorin walked over to a stand where they had an array of bottles.
Cas nodded. "It's kinda just dissolving in my mouth… is that normal?" He stayed close to Sorin, looking at the stand he was being taken towards.
"Yeah, it's normal," he stood behind two people– a father and daughter– and waited patiently for them to finish. "See that?" Sorin pointed up to the large teddy bear that hung on the farthest left corner of the stand. "I'm going to win that for you."
"Oh that's alright, you… you don't have to do that for me, love." Cas ate his cotton candy contentedly. "You've already done a lot for me."
He shook his head. "No… not enough."
"…When will it be enough, though?" Cas asked curiously. "You've done quite a lot."
"Oh come on, not that much," he nuzzled his cheek. "You deserve everything."
"Not really, but if you wanna win me a bear, you go ahead and do that, love." Cas ate more cotton candy.
"Yes, really. Everthing," Sorin's smiled broadened as the two left and immediately began playing, the only thing on his mind getting Cas as many prizes as he could.
Cas wasn't entirely sure what was happening considering he didn't know how to play the game, but Sorin seemed to be doing well. "What's the point of this game, love?"
"To win those prizes up there. You need to toss these rings onto the glass bottles over there."
"Er, alright." Cas finished his cotton candy and threw away the stick. When he returned, he was a bit confused, since he was handed a small stuffed dog.
"Do you like it? Sorry I couldn't get you that teddy…" Sorin's smile still remained.
"…Yeah, but where did this come from?" He looked around, bewildered.
"What do you mean?" he looked at the other, confusion evident in his features.
"The… uh… this." He held up the stuffed dog.
"That stand over there. Where else?"
"I… I dunno." Cas shrugged. "I'm a tad disoriented at the moment, sorry."
"Are you alright? Do you need some water?"
"No, I'm okay. It's just… You know I have enhanced hearing. I can hear everything. And everything is louder than it would be for you."
"Does it bother you much?" He tilted his head and gently pulled the other's chin up. "We could go if you'd like…"
"It's giving me a bit of a headache, but I think I'm alright." Cas turned his ears back so they wouldn't pick up quite so much of the sound.
"If you're sure… then alright," Sorin draped an arm around his shoulders and lead him to the large Ferris wheel. "If it gets really bad, don't be afraid to tell when you want to go home."
