Oh… a tent. What's the end result supposed to look like? Ava wondered. Pulling out the tarp and poles, she messily threaded the poles through some loops she saw. Is this right? she asked herself.
Oh… a tent. What's the end result supposed to look like? Ava wondered. Pulling out the tarp and poles, she messily threaded the poles through some loops she saw. Is this right? she asked herself.
Janie looked up, smiling sheepishly. "Thank you." She said, fidgeting with her backpack. She hadn't even bothered to wash most of the dried paint from her hands. "My name's Janie. And yours, if you don't mind…?" She asked, tilting her head slightly.
"Kopke. What are you here for?" He asked, curiously.
"Vandalism, resisting arrest. Technically wasn't even privet property, but what can I do?" She said, shrugging. "What are you here for?"
"Trying to protect someone I love," Hunter mumbled, speaking for the first time. Cuffmarks rapped his wrists, and he wasn't happy about it. "Call me Hunter."
Romy grinned at the poles and tarp in her backpack. She’d been setting up tents since she could walk; her backyard was her sanctuary where she could get away from her family, not that they paid any attention to her anyways.
She started with the tent set up, adding to Janie and the older boy’s conversation. “I’m also willing to help. I can get this up pretty fast so if you need me afterwards…”
Kopke smirked, "Murder." He decided to leave at that, she could guess how many people were killed by him, he didn't care.
In the end, Ava's tent turned out to be poorly assembled, and hardly resembled what Kopke's looked like. However, she still didn't think the others were non-dangerous enough to speak up. Just a few more days of observing, she told herself.
Skye pulled out the tarp and the poles, trying to figure out how to put it up. It kept falling over and she got frustrated but in the end it stayed but looked horrible compared to Gwen's which was neat and perfect.
Romy stared at Kopke in disbelief. Murder? How could someone only a few years older than her have murdered someone? She shivered involuntarily at the thought. Looking over at a girl off to her left she saw the poorly assembled tent and since she was almost done, decided to offer assistance. “Hey, do you need any help?” She asked. “That’s not going to be fun to sleep in tonight.”
(were you talking to Ava or Skye cause both their tents sucked lol)
Janie went to setting up her her tent, figuring out out as she went. "Oh. Well, at least you didn't get a life sentence." Stay positive, stay positive-
(Lmao idk whoever responds first I guess)
(lol alright)
"I've got it," she grumbled, trying to fix it up again only to see it fall once more. "Yeah, maybe I need some help," she finally admitted.
Romy giggled and connected the last pole. Her tent now stood picture perfect beside Kopke’s and whole bunch of other messy ones. She left her area and went over to the girl, talking as she did so. “My name is Romy if you didn’t hear already nice to meet you. I don’t think I got your name yet.”
"I'm Skye," she said, smiling. "Thanks, by the way."
Janie grinned proudly, stepping back and looking at her messily set up tent. Not the greatest, but it'll do! And I'll be getting a lot of practice!
“Hello Skye!” Romy said happily. “And you’re welcome! It’d be rude of me to be already done with my tent and watching you suffer when it would take me only a few minutes to help!”
She nodded and sighed. "It sure is hot here, isn't it? It's nothing like Michigan."
Kopke began look around to see what all the other tents looked like, some were quite good, others not so much.
Ava eyed everyone warily. One was sent here for murder?
Hunter was casually listening in on everyone's conversation. His tent was okay, but if wind blew threw he would probably be screwed. "You can't complain, Michigander. I get Snowmageddon year after year in New York."
Janie looked up. "I remember. Snow storm always hit at the worst times…"
Kopke ignored their conversation and thought about what he would do at this camp, he sighed, This is going to be a long ten weeks…
Ava just stood a lil awkwardly to the side, her arm clutched in the opposite hand. But she still refused to speak. Though the others seemed to be making light conversation, she still didn't know if anyone here might be… dangerous of sorts. Especially that one guy, what was his name again? Kopke? Yeah, he was sent here for murder… he wasn't going to murder anyone right?
