Finn stood infront of Ethan. Blocking his view of Cal. He shoved him back. "Don't touch him," He said stretching out each word.

"This isn't over, I will get you and your little *boyfriend." Ethan snarled and walked off. Leaving behind a beat up boy on the ground and a few students staring.

Finn flipped him off before turning to Cal. Stretching out his hand out to help him up. "Lets go see the nurse," He suggests.

Cal nodded and took his hand standing up. "Thanks." He muttered. He couldn't help but wonder why was Finn Bishop of all people helping a nobody like him.

The bell rang making him officially late for is next class. Hopefully he can get a pass from the nurs. "Can you like walk ok?" He asked.

Cal nodded softly and blushed. "I-i think so." He replied unsure. Trying to walk, a limp was visible.

Finn took one of Cal's hands and wrapped it around his shoulder. "Lets get going," he said starting to walk.

Cal turned a bright pink and nodded once more in response. Oh my god h-he's…gosh chill out Cal! He walked slowly in pace with Finn.

Finns cheeks heated up but his blush wasn't noticeable. Luckily the nurse was only around the corner.

Cal glanced slightly at Finn. Why did it have to be such a cute guy who helped me today?. He hoped his blush wasn't that noticeable.

Finn saw the boys red face but assumed it was from getting beat up or embarrassment. once in the nurses office he sat Cal down on a chair. "You good?" He asked. the nurse was talking to a different student.

"Y-yeah I think so." Cal stuttered out. He felt embarrassed that he had stuttered out but he couldn't help it. Hoping the nurse would interrupt so he wouldn't feel anymore flustered, he looked down at his bruises. Dang it.

"So what happened here?" the nurse asked as the other student left. She was looking down at Cal.

Cal scratched the back of his neck. "Oh the usual, Ethan decided me being in the hallway was a problem today." He explained.

"Am I calling the principal this time?" she asked her smile dropping. Finn looked between the nurse and Cal confused.

Sighing Cal shook his head no. "I don't want my dads to find out about it again, they'll get mad, it's not that serious." He said in a quiet tone.

the nurse sighed but nodded. Finn shook his head. “But this is serious. He could have really hurt you,” he said “he can’t just get away with it!”

Looking at Finn surprised, Cal slightly blushed. "It's no use, he usually gets away with it anyways. I'm fine, i'm used to being treated like that by now." A small but almost sad smile rested on his lips.

Finn shook his head. “I bet I could get him expelled or at least suspended,” Finn said now smirking. “He won’t mess with you again.”

Cal was now blushing madly, you'd have to be blind not to notice it. "W-why would you do that for me? You heard him back there, i'm just some g-gay boy." Cal was always open about his sexuality, which was why people always made fun of him for being gay.

Finn shrugged. “Why wouldn’t I? I don’t care about all that your gay. That guy’s a jerk and can’t just get away with it,” Finn said. “I’ll deal with him I just need you to report him first. Tell the principle everything that happened.”

Cal nodded softly in response, not knowing what to say. Usually people hated or ignored him because he was gay, but Finn didn't. It was nice to have someone treat him like a person other than his dads or Marka for once. "Thanks…"

“No problem. I fgot to get to class but I hope I see you around,” Finn said smiling softly.

Smiling small Cal turned a little pink. "You too." Why's he so nice to me?

Finn waved bye and got a late pass from the nurse before leaving.

The end of the day school bell rang throughout the halls and Cal walked up to his locker. He had been in the nurse's office most of the day so he hadn't seen Ethan at all. Standing at his locker, he sighed and starting pulling his backpack out.

Finn walked to his own locker. “Hey! You feeling better?” He asked once he noticed Cal.

Cal jumped up slightly, not expecting Finn to suddenly be there. "Y-yeah thanks to the nurse." He stuttered out.
