Rowan looked up at the slowly setting sun, trying to block out Zander’s voice from his thoughts. just face it dear, you’re mine..

Harrow walked away from his mother and hugged Rowan from behind. "Ready to go home love?" He asked softly, tired and defeated from the dinner that had barely even begun

“You don’t deserve this, Harrow. You don’t deserve to lose your family because of me.” Rowan said quietly, not looking at him. “I’m not worth it..”

"they lost me when they tried to force me to marry a man I don't love." He gently turned Rowan around and hugged him close "you're worth it all, love."

“I don’t want to lose you.” Rowan whispered, wrapping his arms around Harrow and burying his face in his neck. “I love you so much..please don’t leave me.”

He sighed softly and nuzzled his hair "my dearest love, you will never lose me. And I love you too much to ever leave you. You can't get rid of me so easily." He pulled away slightly and tilted Rowan's head up "you honestly think I'm going to let someone else have you?"

“Other people did.” Rowan said quietly, looking at him with tears in his eyes. “They didn’t care. When I saw you with Zander the first time I thought you didn’t care. I thought I was losing you..”

His eyes softened and he shook his head "you can't lose me, my love. You won't. And you are the only one I care about." Harrow pulled him close and stroked his cheek "I love only you. You claimed my heart way before Zander was ever mentioned."

Rowan sighed softly and rest his forehead against Harrow’s, kissing him gently. “I love you so much..more than anything or anyone else could.” He whispered, taking his hand and pulling away.

He smiled softly and followed him away from the restaurant. "I will forever be yours, only yours." he kissed his cheek and leaned his head on his shoulder as they walked

“That sounds wonderful.” Rowan murmured, leaning over and kissing his cheek as they walked back. “I never want to see Zander again in my life.”

Harrow giggled asd dedided to make light of the situation "you only saw him once, it takes at least twice to grow a true hatred for the guy."

"I've never hated anyone before, really. I guess this is what it feels like." Rowan shrugged, giggling a little as well, feeling more calm now that he was with Harrow and no one else.

He smiled and laughed "don't worry, love. You won't see him every again." He promised, kissing his cheek.

“That’s all I ask for. Thank you.” Rowan smiled, knowing it probably wasn’t true, but he wouldn’t focus on that right now.

Harrow glanced around the town "still hungry or can you wait until we get home?" He asked softly

Rowan tilted his head, “I don’t know. I think Zander ruined my appetite.” He said, “But we can stop if you want.”

He nuzzled his head gently "we'll eat at home then." He pulled open the door and led him through

“Mmm..” Rowan hummed, leaning against Harrow and giggling softly. He nuzzled his head against Harrows neck, kissing it gently as they walked inside. “You’re so pretty..” He breathed.

"And you're gorgeous," he kissed his head and gently pulled away to hang his jacket and set his walet down "what were you thinking of having for dinner?" he asked over his shoulder

“You.” Rowan answered with a grin, slipping his arms around Harrow’s waist from behind and kissing the back of his neck. “But I guess food is fine too.”

He laughed softly and rested his hands over Harrows "dear, I'm not a food item." He turned in his arms and hugged him by the neck "what kind of food?" He asked as he played with strands of Rowan's hair

“Mmm..anything..whatever you have.” Rowan murmured, burying his face in Harrows neck and holding him close. He kissed his neck and jaw softly, very much enjoying himself.

Harrow tilted his head up "hm, how about some pasta with chicken?" He asked softly, his breath hitching as Rowan passed a tender spot Bellow his ear

Rowan hummed in agreement, continuing to kiss him absentmindedly. “Sounds delicious..” he breathed, moving his lips up to Harrows and kissing him happily.

Harrow tilted his head and brushed a hand along Rowan's cheek "love, what's wrong?" He asked softly, noticing the far away look in his eyes

“Mm nothing really. I’m just glad I get to be with you..” he sighed softly, leaning into Harrows touch.

He watched him skeptically "you're sure you're okay?" He asked, pressing closer to him and kissing his brow

“Of course.” Rowan smiled, pulling Harrow close and hugging him reassuringly. “Do you need help with dinner?”

"hm, sure. Mind making the pasta while I make the chicken?" He said, pulling Rowan to the kitchen.
