"I am coming," Charlotte replied, biting her lip.
"I am coming," Charlotte replied, biting her lip.
He sighed softly, and led her into the hotel.
Charlotte looked down. "Could you stop sighing at me?"
"I'm not sighing at you." He replied softly.
"What does that mean?" Charlotte asked, confused.
He shook his head. "Doesn't matter." He replied with a shrug. He led her into the hotel.
"I wouldn't have asked it it didn't matter!" Charlotte argued. She shivered as soon as she got inside.
He almost sighed, then shook his head. "Charlotte…"
Charlotte looked at the ceiling exasperatedly. "What?"
"Never mind." He said, walking to the room and opening the door.
"But I do mind!" Charlotte said frustratedly.
He shook his head. "You seem to mind everything!" He replied.
Charlotte crossed her arms, hurt. "I do not," she said quietly.
"Yeah, well just…please believe me when I say that it's nothing." He replied slowly.
Charlotte crossed to a chair and sat down, facing the window. "Fine," she muttered.
Lightning woke up when they came in, and stretched, yawning in an adorable manner. Quinn sighed softly.
Charlotte quickly picked up Lightning before going back to staring out the window.
Lightning made a soft noise, curling her tail around Charlotte's hand and snuggling close. Quinn sighed. "I'm going to get ready to go. Someone will come get you when it's time." He said, slipping out of the room.
"Thanks… I guess…" she trailed off and set Lightning on the chair as she stood up and dropped face-first onto the bed with a groan.
Lightning jumped off the chair, landing on the bed, then she nosed at Charlotte worriedly.
"No, Lightning. I'm dead. Find another owner. Go find your family and tell them your adventures," she said into a pillow.
She chirped softly, and walked off to explore the bed, promptly climbing up, yet again, the bedpost, until she was balanced at the top, where she gave a triumphant trill of happiness.
(I gtg to bed now, bye!)
"Dammit, Lightning!" Charlotte reached up and placed Lightning back on the bed. "Could you stop doing that?"
Lightning looked up at her, almost looking like she was…smiling? She made a soft chittering noise, and went to explore the bed again.
Charlotte sighed. "If you climb up that bedpost again, I'm going to scream."
Lightning flicked her tail, and curled up on the pillow, sniffing at the spot where Quinn had slept.
Charlotte rolled her eyes. "I'm going to put on normal clothes," she informed the creature. "Try not to die."
Lightning stayed still for a moment, then continued exploring the bed. While Charlotte was gone, she climbed down to explore under the bed, getting herself tangled in the sheets in the process.
Charlotte left the bathroom, shoving her nightgown into her bag, and looked over at the bed. "Lightning? I thought I told you not to die!"
