Charlotte walked for several more minutes before deciding that she was, in fact, lost. All the trees looked the same, and she'd been focused on little details on her way in. Oh, gods. What if they thought she was trying to leave again? She leaned her forehead against a tree and groaned.
Quinn left the room and headed down to the dining area to see if Charlotte was there. He frowned slightly, and left the building. "Charlotte?" He called, looking around.
Charlotte sighed, looking around again. Maybe if she just picked a direction - but she had a 75% chance of picking the wrong direction. They'd have to find her eventually. Probably. She glanced around again nervously before hopping into the tree and sitting on a branch.
Quinn started walking, looking around. "Charlotte?" He called again, frowning slightly. He headed into the woods, carefully keeping track of which way to go to get back.
Charlotte lightly hit her head on the tree several times, out of pure boredom. She accidentally hit it too hard and hissed. "That was stupid," she muttered.
Quinn kept walking. "Charlotte?" He called again, looking around. "Are you here?" He sighed softly.
Charlotte bolted up, having heard a voice. Unfortunately, she sat up too fast, and fell off of the branch, cutting her arm open. She cursed quietly before calling, "hello?" She quickly pulled her sleeve over the cut.
"Charlotte?" Quinn called again, still walking. He hoped she hadn't gone too far; that would be irritating.
(Hey, i gtg soon so this might be my last response)
"Hello?" Charlotte called louder, slowly walking in the direction of the voice.
He frowned slightly, thinking maybe he heard her. "Charlotte?" He called again, louder, heading in the direction her voice had come from.
"I'm right here!" Charlotte responded, turning and seeing Quinn a few feet away. "Ah. Hello."
Quinn grinned for a moment. "I was wondering when you'd gone off too." He said.
"I, er, got lost. As you can probably tell," Charlotte pressed her lips together and looked off to the side.
"Alright. Come on, I know the way back." He replied, tipping his head slightly.
Charlotte nodded. "Let's go, then," she suggested with a half-smile.
He nodded, and started walking back towards the hotel.
Charlotte followed silently, somehow managing not to tap her fingers anxiously.
He hummed softly as he walked, then went quiet, giving a soft sigh. "Why were you even out wandering?" He asked.
Charlotte sighed. "It was nice out. I was bored and I didn't want to be around people," she answered.
Quinn nodded. "Ah." He kept walking. "Good thing i went looking, though, or you would have been out here for hours."
"Yes, thanks so much," Charlotte answered with a hint of sarcasm.
"What, would you rather I leave you out here, darling?" He asked, glancing back at her.
Charlotte's eyes widened. "No, I - that's not - no," she managed.
He raised an eyebrow. "Then what do you want?" He asked.
"Nothing, Quinn!" She exclaimed quickly. "Just… being stupid," she muttered.
He sighed softly. "Alright then." He replied.
Charlotte sighed and wrapped her arms around herself. She'd actually gotten cold.
Quinn kept walking. He sighed softly.
Charlotte looked around her. She didn't recognise any of the scenery. The one time I'm this distracted, and this happens, she thought to herself.
Quinn kept walking, sighing softly. "Come on." He said. "We're almost there."
