Quinn stared at the ceiling blankly. When she got up, Lightning started exploring the bed again.
Quinn stared at the ceiling blankly. When she got up, Lightning started exploring the bed again.
Charlotte changed and quickly left the bathroom, sitting in a chair near the door.
Quinn closed his eyes. Lightning climbed up the bedpost again.
Charlotte sighed and went to get Lightning. "Would you stop doing that? You'll hurt yourself!" She gently scolded.
(I swear to god I want to use these every time I read them XD https://pin.it/bm3b5rwwee4s6o)
(uhm I can't view Pinterest images rn…can you describe maybe? Please?)
Lightning flicked her tail slightly, snuggling against Charlotte. Quinn opened an eye, looking over.
(Ah frick sorry um it's just one of those "discovering injuries" things. Very angsty XD)
Charlotte went back to her chair and sat down, tucking her legs to her chest.
(ohhh yeah I've seen those. My faves are like…have you seen the villain and hero ones? Where either it's super flirty or super dramatic and always angsty and stuff? Those are my jam xD)
Quinn sighed softly. Lightning chirped softly, curling up in a ball.
(Ohhh yeah those are fun I'll send you some of my favorites in a bit)
(Time skip or smth?)
(alright! Just no links to Pinterest or Tumblr please, as i can't view those)
(uhm sure!)
(Yeah I'll just send it as normal text)
(Just to morning?)
(alright thank you)
(Sure. Want me to do it, or do you want to?)
(I can, but it might take me quite a bit cause I'm going grocery shopping ACK)
(alright. Oof. Its up to you then)
Charlotte awoke to what seemed like a cacophony of birds. How revolting. She sprung up from her chair to shut the window, and immediately her vision went dark and she got dizzy. "Gods, I should drink more water," she muttered, leaning heavily on the wall. After a few seconds, her vision cleared and she crossed to the window and shut it. Much better.
(Okay so I have things like "you told me you were okay. You promised!" And "why didn't you tell me?" And "How long have you been covering this up?" And "[name], this is serious!" And "you've been trying to deal with this yourself?!" And "you idiot! Why would you lie to me?" And "you didn't think it was that bad? Are you looking at it?!")
(I think those are the best ones lmao I just like those kinds of things because YAY ANGST AND PAIN YAYYYY)
Quinn was still asleep, curled up on the bed. He was curled on his side, and in his sleep, he somehow looked… younger. As if the troubles and issues he dealt with daily had melted away. Lightning was curled up on the carpet beside Charlotte's chair, asleep. As the sun had come up, the golden glow had faded until only the nature golden color of the fur remained.
Charlotte scanned the room with a small smile before going to the door and unlocking it as quietly as possible.
(oh wow that's a lot. Yeah those are amazing XD)
Quinn had rolled around a little in the night, and the blankets and sheets were tangled tightly around his body.
Aster was already awake and moving around in his room, getting ready for the day.
Charlotte left the room, closing the door quietly, and crept towards the stairs. She wasn't sure if she could handle any sort of social interaction at the moment.
(Lmao thanksss)
Quinn rolled over, still cuddled up in the sheets.
Aster kept getting ready, humming softly.
Charlotte practically ran outside, and was struck by a freezing cold wind. "Oh, gods," Charlotte muttered, wrapping her arms around herself. She definitely should've brought a coat. However, while it was freezing, it was also really beautiful out at this time. Not that Charlotte would think anything was beautiful, of course. That would be ridiculous.
Quinn woke up, sleepily rubbing his eyes. "Mmph." He mumbled.
Aster started waking up the other guards.
Charlotte smiled slightly and started walking around. It was incredibly peaceful here. She considered trying to find the stream again, but decided against it. Water wasn't ideal for freezing mornings. She warmed up quickly from walking, and soon didn't even notice the chill.
Quinn looked around the room, and spotted Lightning curled up on the floor, but no sign of Charlotte. He sighed softly, and untangled himself from the blankets.
Charlotte continued walking, looking at absolutely everything; the dew on the grass, how insanely blue the sky was, the way the birds seemed to react to each other. It was quite a bit before she realised she'd gotten lost. The inn was nowhere in sight. She turned in a slow full circle before deciding to go back directly the way she came and hoping for the best.
Quinn went into the bathroom, combing his hair so that it was no longer a tangled, unruly mess, and using the toilet, before leaving rhw bathroom. He gently picked up Lightning, placing her on the bed so that she wouldn't get stepped on by mistake.
