Mikhail smiled Nyx was more than a goddess she was a mother and a friend he looked at Zayara who was like Zoey then at Sam both related to big people at this House of Night (Can you guess who they are related to)

(I guess Oizys is a student now then!)

Oizys sniffled as Mikhail shuffled her into class and sat down next to him. She plopped her head on his shoulder. "Thanks." she whispered, her teary eyes wandering around the classroom anxiously.

Mikhail slipped his arm around her in comfort "No problem bae"

Oizys rolled her wet eyes at him. "Quit calling me things like that, or else you're never going to get a boyfriend, doofus."

Onyx walked up to the front of the room, clearing their throat. "Hello everyone. I'm Mx. Onyx, though you can just call me Onyx." The young teacher began. "I will be teaching you how to control your gifts more than you already do."

Mikhail laughed at Oizys "I have a kid in mind but I don't think he's gay." then he raised his arm for Onyx's attention "do you want a list of all the affinities in this room or are you going to ask us?"

"I was going to do an ice breaker. We'll go around the room and say our name and our affinities."

"Oh okay" Mikhail said then turned to see if Oizys was okay then gave her a squeeze and took his arm from her

"Alrighty. Hello, my name is Onyx, I was Nyx's first child and am, technically, a god." They smiled, pointing to Mikhail to go.

Mikhail stood up and introduced himself "I am Mikhail Fallenstar a native to Cherokee heritage and my affinity is spirit but i am tethered to the other elements much like our Priestess Zoey Redbird." then he looked at Oizys to signal for her to go

Oizys sniffled. "I am Oizys. Goddess of sadness and depression and all it leads to. I am a child of Nyx as well."

A few other people went, it was a small class. "Wonderfull. I'd like you to pair up and open your textbook to page four. There's going to be a spell I want you all to try and do without my help."

"Can I be with Oizys? Please?" Mikhail asked slightly giddy about it but also brotherly to Oizys

"Actually, I'd like you to pair with someone you don't usually." Onyx smiled, they had been waiting to do this ever since they became a teacher.

Mikhail nodded and handed a necklace to Oizys "Put it on it should help with your sadness for now"

Oizys took it and murmured, "Pretty…" before slipping it on, which calmed her. "Thank you." She stood up and shuffled away to see who looked the nicest to work with.

It seemed there was an uneven amount of people, so Onyx stood by Mikhail's desk, smiling sheepishly. "There's an uneven amount of kids, so it seems you're working with me."

Mikhail nodded and smiled "Sounds fun. I guess i'lll get to know you a bit better then the rest"

They laughed in response, moving their chair over to sit down. "I suppose so."

Damien is gonna be so jealous Mikhail chuckled at his thought as he sat down "So what is first"

"Okay, so on page four, you see this complicated spell. I want you to try and simplify it, then perform it." Onyx didn't go into more detail. "I think you'll like the ending result."

Mikahail nodded then flawlessly simplified the spell and preformed both the harder one then the simplified one

Onyx smilled and clapped their hands. "Good job!" They exclaimed as an inky void surrounded them before it filled with stars. "It's a spell maman taught me and it's very calming, isn't it?"

"yeah it is" Mikhail said in a whisper

Onyx picked up the small glass vial on the table. "This is my favorite part." They muttered as they scooped the vial through the air and capped it, shaking around bottled stars.

Mikhail did the same but with a mason jar and screwed the cap in place

"It also works as a nightlight and it's also pretty damn aesthetically pleasing."

"that is why i used a mason jar instead of a vial" Mikhail chuckled
