Hunter was in the closest row he could get, grinning like a boy who just won all the candy in the world. “My boyfriend’s up there, ya know. He’s really smart,” Hunter bragged to the lady sitting next to him who said she liked trivia a lot. He caught eyes with Milo, sending a returning smile. He was so darn cute…

(I just gotta ask, are you going to be the question asking person, or do you want me to do it? But be warned if I do it I really don't know what kind of questions are asked since I have never been part of quiz bowl)

Deleted user

(Oof, neither have I, but I can do it (I’ll try looking up questions on the internet maybe) Want me to add more to my last post to have him start up the tournament?)

Deleted user

(Okay, and no it's fine I'll post then you can start the tournament.)

Milo kept smiling even when he broke eye contact with Hunter. He nervously tapped the table and kept glancing around. Maybe he wanted to do goo for Hunter or maybe it was because of the recent events that have happened but Milo was never this nervous for tournaments.

“Alright, ladies and gents, it’s that time! It’d be wonderful if the audience could silence their phones before we start, so we don’t have many interruptions. Thanks!” Th annoncer called out, and Hunter silence his phone with the rest of the audience, “Now, it’s time for our first question. (I’m literally copying and pasting from a quiz bowl website, the questions are really weird, just a heads up lol) In a 2017 ruling, a judge in this state declared that an ”urban heroin dealer” not having a gun would be “an anomaly” [uh-NAH-muh-lee]. Police in this state chanted “whose streets? Our streets!” in response to riots that erupted after white police officer Jason (*) Stockley was found not guilty of murdering Anthony Lamar [luh-“MAR”] Smith. For 10 points—name this state previously rocked by 2014 protests after Michael Brown was killed in Ferguson.” The announcer finally finished the question, and Hunter was amazed people would actually know the answer to that.
(The answer is Missouri btw)

Deleted user

(That is definitely strange lol)
Milo listened intently to the announcer as he spoke. Once he finished, Milo looked around at his teammates. They conversed a little then he quickly buzzed the buzzer before the team could finish talking. "Missouri!" Milo almost yelled to the announcer. The other team had buzzed just after but he still got the point, a smile on his face.

(Here’s the website, there’s tons more weird questions coming XD https://www.naqt.com/samples/sct-d2.pdf )
“That is correct,” The announcer said, marking down a point on his sheet. Hunter grinned, leaning on the edge of his seat as he waited for the next question.
“The next question is… A young man in this musical is ”promoted” from ”idiot apprentice to incompetent clerk.” Rudolfʹs wait staff dance “The Waiterʹs Gallop” in this musical that depicts a millinerʹs [MIL-ih-nur'z] romance with Cornelius [kor-NEEL-yuss] Hackl. A version of its title song, which notes “youʹre still (*) glowinʹ, youʹre still crowinʹ,” was recorded by Louis [LOO-ee] Armstrong. For 10 points—name this musical in which Horace Vandergelder [VAN-der-“geld”-ur] falls in love with a matchmaking widow.”
(Answer: “Hello, Dolly!”)

Milo looked around at his team again. This time another member buzzed and answered it correctly once again. He hadn't lied when he said his team was good. They sometimes even practiced just buzzing quickly.

Deleted user

Hunter smiled more, already keeping a mental tally of how many points Milo’s team got. Dang they’re really good, they should win.
“That is correct,” The announcer continued with another question, “As of 2018, the WNBA team in this city is the only one that has not reached the WNBA Finals. After selecting Jan Vesely [yahn VESS-uh-lee] in 2011, the NBA team in this city received the third overall pick in both 2012 and 2013, which was used to take Georgetownʹs (*) Otto Porter, and the Florida Gatorsʹ Bradley Beal. The WNBAʹs Mystics play in—for 10 points—what city, where Scott Brooks coaches, and John Wall plays for, the NBAʹs Wizards?”
(Correct answer: Washington, D.C.)
(Also would you like to skip ahead to the last few questions?)

Deleted user

Just as Milo was about to buzz, the other team did answering the correct answer. Milo sighed and looked down at the table. He shook his head then looked back up at the announcer for the next question. They were ahead so he didn't have to worry too much.
(Yes, do you want me to skip or are you going to?)

Deleted user

(I can)
The announcer continued with a string of the weirdest questions someone could think up, and Hunter watched intently, smiling widely every time had Milo got a point.
It wasn’t long before the announcer said, “Alright, now we’re going to move onto our last question. Though, to give you a heads up, we do have a bonus question at the end that doesn’t count for any points,” The announcer told them, then continued by asking the last question that counter for points, “The 2011 standard for this programming language added ”r‐value references” and a constant for the null pointer. Boost libraries work with this language, in which calls to ”new” have mostly replaced ”malloc” [MAL-uk] for memory allocation. (*) Bjarne Stroustrup [b'YAR-nay STRAHV-stroop] created this object‐oriented language. It is partly named for an operator that increments variables. For 10 points—identify this update of a language with a single‐letter name.”
(Answer: C++)

Milo squinted trying to think of the answer. He looked at his teammates then quickly buzzed the buzzer. "C+!" Milo answered. Less than a second later, one of his teammates added another + to get the question right. He nodded to the other teammate, mouthing "thanks" to them.

Deleted user

“Correct!” The announcer said, looking down at his tallies. “Before I officially announce the winner, it’s time to move onto that last bonus question that isn’t worth any points that I told you about.” Hunter grinned, his heart pumping as he anxious waited for the announcer to continue. He had told the announcer to let all of Milo teammates and the other team know ahead of time so they didn’t get confused and the question would be just for Milo. “This bonus question is…” The announcer made a show of looking at his notes, “Will Milo go to homecoming with Hunter, true or false?”
Hunter stood from his seat, looking at Milo with shimmering eyes.

Deleted user

The instant the announcer finished the question, Milo buzzed the buzzer. "YES!" He jumped up a little, yelling this answer for real so everyone could hear it. A large smile was on his face as he looked over to Hunter. The question fully registered in his mind and he looked back at the announcer. "I mean, true." He said quieter, shyly correcting himself. He sat down feeling pretty shy, but happy a smile not leaving his face.

Hunter grinned, his chest starting to shine despite the distance between them. Even the other team was smiling a bit, on even leaning in to congratulate Milo. The announcer chuckled, “Well, I believe that is correct. Now we’ve gotten that done, it’s time to announce the winning team… [Milo’s team’s name here]!” The crowd applauded, and Hunter couldn’t hold himself back as he got out of the audience so he could go hug Milo.

Deleted user

Milo's whole team bolted out of their chairs this time. They all hugged and high-fived each other. He had a huge smile on his face, and it wasn't because they won, well maybe a little. Milo met Hunter halfway and flung his arms around the other.

Hunter pulled Milo into his bright chest, laughing and smiling and burying his head into Milo’s hair. “Gosh I love you!” He exclaimed, going so far to pick up Milo off the floor kiss him on the lips.

Deleted user

(First of all, I'm so flattered. Second of all yes yes yes. But what is the plot/idea?)

Deleted user

Milo smiled through Hunter's kiss since he actually couldn't stop. He was already off the stage, by then the rest of his team was as well. Some congregated next to Hunter and Milo while others left. They wanted to congratulate Milo so they all waited until the two of them were done.

(Yeah man you’re like super good at role playing! (our rp is one of my favorites actually ;)
(But as for the idea for the reboot I’m doing, it’s just kinda a biker gang plain as that, but in the old one that I rebooted, it kinda developed into a drama/angst thing developing the biker’s backstories and some brought romance in to it and stuff like that, it mostly cultivated itself lol)

Hunter pulled away with a grin of his own covering his face. “You did amazing! I don’t know how you can even remember stuff like that!” Hunter exclaimed, still grinning because he was just so happy for Milo.

Deleted user

(Thank you so much!! This one is definitely one of my favorites as well. Okay, Imma definitely join. I can't post the template rn since its late though)
"Thank you!!" Milo looked back slightly to see a few of his teammates waiting. They congratulated the two of them and left them alone. He buried his face in Hunter's bright chest, his own matching, and a smile still on his face. "I love you too~"

Deleted user

(Yay! It’s late here too, I’mma prolly pass out in a couple minutes lol)
Hunter smiled, his hand moving up to cup the back of Milo’s head as he smiled. “I can’t wait for homecoming now,” Hunter told him with a grin, “This is probably going to be the first one I really enjoy.”

Deleted user

"Same here! This is going to be the first dance I ever go to!!" Milo closed his eyes, taking everything in. The Quiz Bowl win was nothing compared to this.

Deleted user

Hunter grinned, “Well then I’m definitely grateful to be the one to ask you,” He planted a kiss on Milo’s forehead, unable to stop his smile as he pulled away. “You know, I think I lost particular a deal of ours.”

Deleted user

"I suppose you did. I don't think right now is the best time or place though." Milo said with a little smile while looking up at Hunter.

Deleted user

“Maybe we should go find a good place and make it the right time,” Hunter purred quietly so only Milo could hear, already thinking of sneaking out to his truck with Milo. Even though he knew they probably shouldn’t, Hunter couldn’t help himself anyways from wanting to see Milo blush.

Deleted user

Milo raised his eyebrows slightly. "Good idea." He whispered with a tiny grin. He let his arms let go of Hunter and moved to his side. "I doubt anyone's going to miss me here…"

Deleted user

Hunter wrapped his arm around Milo’s waist, already guiding them towards the school exit. “I know just the place,” He murmured with a smirk as he led them out back to the parking lot. “My truck can be pretty comfy…”
