"Vampires?" He replied as he followed after her. "What are you talking about?" The little gave a soft chirp of alarm, clinging to Charlotte.
"Vampires?" He replied as he followed after her. "What are you talking about?" The little gave a soft chirp of alarm, clinging to Charlotte.
Charlotte gently picked up the little creature and held it in her hands, slowing a bit. "Er, mosquitoes. My, er… mother used to called them vampires. Maybe you don't have them here. That'd really be a wonder. They unfortunately love me."
It nestled into her hands with an almost purring sound, tucking its tail around its face. Quinn nodded. "Ah. We do, though not in large numbers."
Charlotte nodded. "That's lucky - ah!" She grinned as she saw a little stream and ran towards it, stopping when she reached it and staring.
Quinn chased her, stopping a few feet behind her. The little creature was silent, glow brightening as Charlotte began running.
Charlotte sighed and sat down, leaning on one of her elbows. Water was probably the most calming thing in the world.
(hey, i gtg to bed now, I'll reply again tomorrow sometime)
The little creature gave an alarmed chirp at the nearness of the water, climbing up her body until it was hanging around her neck like a heavy, furry scarf. Quinn sat down.
(Oof okie)
"Oh, Christ!" Charlotte exclaimed in surprise. That was certainly a new experience. "This little creature does not like water as.much as I do."
Quinn shook his head, chuckling. "No, they don't." He replied. The little crrsture hung on where it was.
(Oof Idk what to do)
(erm…name the creature? Lol idk either tbh)
(Oof XD)
(i could have Quinn fall in the creek lol)
(Omg I'd be down ig?)
(alright awesome)
Quinn let out a yelp as his foot slipped, and he landed in the creek. The little creature hissed softly as water splashed on it.
Charlotte gasped loudly and stood up. "Oh my gods, Quinn!" She held out her hand to help him up.
Quinn took her hand, dripping wet, and got out of the creek. His clothes clung to his lithe body, and he grimaced.
"Oh, gods. We have to go back to the hotel. You're soaking," she told him concernedly.
He shook his head. "No, I'm fine." He replied, sitting down again. "Really. We can stay out if you want." The glowing creature chittered softly.
Charlotte shook her head firmly. "You'll catch your death… at least, that's what my aunt says."
He laughed. "I will not. I might get a cold, but I won't die!" He replied, smiling.
(If this was a movie, it would immediately cut to Quinn laying in bed, deathly ill lol)
Charlotte groaned. "Quinn, please? You're going to freeze."
He shook his head stubbornly. "I'll be fine." He replied, crossing his arms against the chill settling in. The little creature crawled to the shoulder furthest away from him, curling into a ball.
"Come on, you're being stupid," Charlotte argued, gently putting a hand on the animal on her shoulder.
"I am the king, nothing i do is stupid." He replied with a grin.
"On the contrary, nearly everything you do is stupid. And I don't want you to get sick," Charlotte crossed her arms and sat on a stump a few feet away from Quinn.
"Hey, what's that supposed to mean?" he asked, looking over at her. There were goosebumps on his arms and body from the cold.
"You're just - the point is, you're acting stupid and we need to go back," she bounced her leg anxiously.
He rolled his eyes. "I am not. Give one example of how I'm acting stupid."
"You're refusing to go back to warmth and dry clothes, because - why won't you go back?" She questioned.
