@Fraust
Cas kissed him softly. "I'm glad, but I can hear the stove getting angrier."
Cas kissed him softly. "I'm glad, but I can hear the stove getting angrier."
"Angrier?" He kissed his nose and moved his face closer.
"Yeah, it's hissing louder. It's angry." Cas looked up at Sorin, humming softly.
"It's probably larger amounts of water hitting the stove," he stood up. "I'll go check it out." Sorin walked to the kitchen, finding the water bubbling up to the rim. He grabbed the pot's lid and covered it, wondering why he didn't just do that before.
"Is the stove angry?" Cas called into the kitchen, picking up on the noise being dulled.
"No, not angry Cas." Sorin smiled and made his way to the other.
"Okay… just pissy, then?" Cas crawled into his lap when he sat down n.
He shook his head. "No, not exactly," he wrapped his arms around his waist and pulled him closer. "It's just something that happens when water touches a hot surface."
Cas nodded. "…But the stove doesn't like water, though."
"It's not that the stove doesn't like the water. See, if the stove were cooler and you pour water on it, it wouldn't 'hiss'."
"Well, like, I know the stove isn't alive or anything… it just sounds angry."
"Yeah, yeah I guess you could say that…" He pecked his lips and smiled.
Cas smiled as well. "What were you making again, love?"
"Beef stew," Sorin pulled on his collar and took a glimpse at the bruises before letting go. "Do you need me to ice those?"
"Sure, I guess." Cas shrugged, laying back on the couch so Sorin could get up.
He quickly went to retrieve the peas and towel, icing his back and lying him down gently on his stomach.
Cas shivered, the fur on his tail fluffing up. "It's coooold…" He whined, glancing over his shoulder at Sorin.
"I know, I know… it's supposed to help reduce the swelling. Unless… it makes you uncomfortable? Does it make you feel uncomfortable?"
"I'm okay…" Goosebumps erupted on Cas's skin as he shivered again.
"Are you sure?" Sorin sat next to him, rubbing the back of his leg comfortingly.
"Yeah, it's just kinda cold. I'm not very good at regulating my body temperature, so I get cold easily and I'm also prone to overheating." Cas shrugged, his tail flicking a bit.
"Want me to get you a blanket? Will that help?"
Cas just hugged Sorin. "Mm… your body heat'll do."
Sorin smiled softly, a light blush tinting his cheeks as he hugged him close.
"Thaaanks, love…" Cas purred, nuzzling against Sorin's chest. "You're very warm…"
"I'm glad to hear that," he gently played with his hair.
He purred a bit louder. "Why are you always so warm when I'm freezing?"
"Because… that's how my body works?" Sorin chuckled softly.
"But how come your body gets to be warm?" Cas huffed, huddling closer to him.
"I don't know Cas, I don't know," He held the peas in place as he pulled him up his chest and wrapped his arms around his lower back.
