Ethan buried his head in his neck. This was where he wanted to be for the rest of his life, nowhere else.
Raz woke up in the late hours of the morning. He shifted around to find ethan right behind him, his face was peaceful with sleep, breath even and heartbeat strong. Raz smiled softly, and gently stroked his cheek, fingers barely touching his skin.
Ethan leaned into his hand. It took a few minutes for him to finally come to and be coherent. "Morning love." He murmured.
"Morning sleepy devil." He pressed a kiss to Ethan's cheek and smiled "ready for breakfast? or at least getting up?" he teased, propping himself on an elbow
Ethan's stomach rumbled. "Definitely ready for breakfast." He grinned
Raz nodded and sat up with a yawn. "Have anything in mind for breakfast?" He asked, glancing over his shoulder at Ethan
Ethan shrugged. "Toast?" He suggested, sitting up.
"That's it?" he asked, dragging his hand through his hair with a smile "I'll see if I can find something more filling than just toast."
Ethan nodded and kissed him quickly. "I'm going to go shower."
he hummed softly at the kiss and stood. He stretched and headed to the kitchen. "Breakfast should be done by the time you get out."
Ethan stood and pressed a kiss to the top of his head. "Thank you love." He hurried to the bathroom and stated the shower. He winced as he peeled off his shirt. It pulled at his wounds and stitches. He climbed into the shower carefully. He let out a shuddering breath.
Raz smiled "no problem." While Ethan showered he found some bread along with eggs and bacon. He made a quick omlet and fried up the bacon while the toast toasted
After his shower, Ethan sat on the edge of the tub for longer than he cared to admit. Just simple tasks such as washing himself had him exhausted. He hated it. He hated feeling invalid, useless.
Raz knocked on the bathroom door, having heard the shower turn off bit not hearing Ethan come out. "Love, you okay?"
"FIne, love, just getting dressed." Ethan replied, standing up. It took more effort than he thought. He grabbed his clothes, opting only for sweatpants. He stepped out of the bathroom, forcing a smile on his lips.
Raz glanced up at him with slight concern "you hate it, don't you?" He asked, walking back to the kitchen and setting the afge of food down
Ethan followed behind him. "Uts fine love. Dont worry about it."
"too late," he said softly, glancing up at him and raising an eyebrow
Ethan sighed. "It will be okay love, don't worry."
Raz gently touched his arm and looked at him carefully "but you will tell me if anything isn't, right?"
"Of course love." Ethan kissed his temple. "Now relax. You're going to give yourself wrinkles."
Raz cracked a small smile and nodded as they sat at the dinner table "fine, fine I'm relaxed, I promise."
"Good." He sat down and reached across the table to hold his hand
He glanced down at the extended hand and smiled, lacing their fingers together and pressing a kiss to his fingers "my lovely devil," he murmured affectionately before starting to eat with his free hand
Ethan smiled gently at him. "My beautiful boy." He replied. He copoed his movement and ate with his spare hand.
"is it healing alright?" Raz asked, not wanting to seem fussy but not being able to help himself
Ethan chuckled softly. "Its fine love, it's healing as it should. Now stop worrying."
Raz nodded, his leg bounced as he ate, trying to keep his mind off the night Ethan got shot. "sorry…" he muttered, glancing away to try to calm himself down
Ethan stroked his knuckles. "Its alright my love. Everything is okay." He said soothingly
"but it's not," he whispered, barely audible. "you got shot…and almost…d-died," he took a shuddering breath "T-they came in, those people who write the wills and stuff. They told me it was for emergencies incase anything happened…"
