He shrugged. "It's worked so far." He replied, stretching slightly.
He shrugged. "It's worked so far." He replied, stretching slightly.
Charlotte nodded quickly. "Right. Yes. Well, er, thank you for your advice," she said politely.
He shrugged. "You're welcome. I know you probably won't take it. But thats what works for me."
"Of course I'll take it. You probably know better than me, anyway," Charlotte said softly.
He shrugged. "I suppose." He replied with a soft sigh.
Charlotte nodded and looked out the window, only to sharply look away again.
The carriage lurched into motion. Quinn sighed softly, leaning his head on the wall.
Charlotte tapped her finger agitatedly and looked in her bag, hoping for some reason that she'd find something interesting.
Quinn sighed softly, and shifted so his shoulder was leaning against the carriage, facing away from her.
(Timeskip maybe?)
(sure. To dinner/hotel?)
(Yee, sure)
(alrighty! Want me to start, or do you want to?)
(Erm, I feel like for this one it would make more sense for you to start? I can totally do it, though, if you don't want to!)
(yup, i can. Its fine!)
Later…
The carriage stopped. Quinn had fallen asleep, curled in a ball and leaning against the wall of the carriage.
Aster knocked, then opened the door. "Time to get out." He said. He looked at Charlotte. "By the way, I'm sorry if i came across as harsh earlier. That was not my intention."
Charlotte shook her head. "Completely fine," she said flatly, stepping out of the carriage.
He nodded, and shook Quinn's shoulder gently. "Hey, time to get up." He said gently.
Quinn blinked, sitting up. "Hmm?" He rubbed his eyes. "Oh."
Charlotte waited a few feet away from the carriage, hands held neatly against her thigh. She had to force herself not to tap her fingers.
Aster and Quinn came out of the carriage, and Aster led the way into the hotel.
Charlotte followed at a slight distance, looking around her carefully, without touching anything for once.
Aster checked them in to the hotel, and led the way to their rooms. "Quinn, Charlotte, you two have interconnecting rooms, and us guards are across the hall and on either side. Drop your stuff off, and then we'll head downstairs for dinner." He commanded, putting his bag and armor in his room.
Quinn nodded, putting his stuff in his room.
Charlotte followed suit and crossed to her room silently, placing her bag on a chair before leaving the room to stand near Aster.
Aster sighed softly. When Quinn came back, he ran a hand through his hair. "Let's head down for dinner." He said, turning and starting to walk.
Charlotte nodded and followed quickly. She didn't have a watch to tell her what time it was, and she couldn't find a clock, so she sighed quietly and continued following. It was annoying, not knowing what time it was. But she'd live.
Aster brought them into a room. This one, unlike the first hotel, was restaurant style. They were given a table, and handed menus.
Quinn started flipping through his menu.
Charlotte sat in her chair and opened her menu, eyes quickly scanning the page. After a few seconds, she gave a small nod and closed her menu.
Quinn found whatnhe wanted, and put the menu down.
Aster took a bit longer, before finally setting his menu down as well.
Charlotte looked around for a waiter briefly before returning her gaze to the table.
After a few minutes, the waiter came back to take their orders.
Quinn ordered.
Aster and the other guards ordered.
Charlotte looked up and quickly ordered. She had chosen something that was entirely native to Wonderland. She had no idea what it was, but perhaps it would help her to experience the world better… or something.
