Before she answered, she grabbed one of the sandwiches and took a bite, nodding in thanks to the bartender. "It's weird honestly," She started off, shrugging a little, "I never thought my music was going to be loved by so many people."

He nodded to himself, rubbing the side of his face. "I can imagine so. I've had more cameras pointed at me from just standing next to you than I've had during pre-fight press conferences."
@gracehustle
She let out a small laugh and nodded, taking a sip of the drink before answering, "Yeah, that's my life. Cameras pointed at me daily and interrupting absolutely anything I do. It gets old very very quickly." Again, she took a drink, "That's one thing people point out all the time, how many cameras are around all the time."
Deleted user
"Does it ever get old?" he asked, leaning his head on his hand. "I'd go insane."
@gracehustle
"I mean, yes. The first few times I had to worry about cameras constantly, it really irked me, until I got used to them and just started watching my every move so I didn't do anything too embarrassing." Vanessa shrugged and sighed, propping her head up on her hand, "I like being able to make a difference in people's lives, but I don't like the cameras and popularity that come with being a popular music artist."

"At least you don't get punched in the face for a living," he pointed out with a playful smile. His missing tooth was noticeable for the first time, leaving a gap between his remaining front tooth and a canine.
@gracehustle
She laughed lightly and nodded, "I'm quite glad that isn't my profession, I would die." HIs missing tooth caught her attention and she tipped her head to the side slightly in curiosity as she took a sip of her drink again, "When did you loose that?
Deleted user
"Last fight," he said, his grin fading when she pointed it out. "I got punched in the face, surprise surprise. Is it really that noticeable?"
@gracehustle
Vanessa shook her head, "No, I actually didn't notice it until just now." She drank some more and looked over at him, "It's not noticeable at all."

"I can't afford a dental bridge," he said with a shrug, "So even if it is, there isn't much I can do."
@gracehustle
She nodded, thinking about it and glancing over at him, "They're really expensive, I know that, plus it doesn't really make sense to get one if it'll just get knocked out in the next fight."

He shrugged again, taking another bite of his sandwich. "My family hates the fact that I'm fighting. Haven't spoken to them in a while."
@gracehustle
"They don't like you fighting?" Vanessa frowned and continued drinking her beer, "I mean, I know my parents didn't like it when I first started doing music and said I was going to try my hand at becoming famous. They thought I went nuts and didn't talk to me for like a year until I got famous."
Deleted user
"I come from a long line of lawyers, doctors, and politicians. They were beyond pissed when they found out I dropped out of high school to train, and even more when I actually signed a contract." He rubbed his nose, frowning as he continued to speak. "I tried to mend the relationship, but they want nothing to do with me."
@gracehustle
She nodded, listening carefully as she let her body absorb the alcohol as she drank some more, "They're still not talking to you at all? wouldn't they have accepted what you were doing with your life at some point?"
Deleted user
He shrugged again, staring down at his sandwich. "I guess not. They say I 'damage the family's reputation.'"
@gracehustle
Vanessa frowned, looking at the counter for a moment before back up at him, downing the rest of her drink and letting out a sigh, "Well, families are never perfect, but that's more harsh than I've heard before. Maybe some dancing will take your mind off of it for now?"
Deleted user
He smiled, getting back up to his feet. "Yeah, maybe it would."
This song began playing: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K3Qzzggn–s
@gracehustle
(It won't bring me to the song)
She stood up and smiled, looking over at him as the song started. Already she was feeling more relaxed and ready to dance.

(The song is Slow Dancing in the Dark)

"Might be a bit weird, but," he offered his hand again, "you down for some slow dancing?"
@gracehustle
"I am," She replied with a growing smile, taking his hand, "It'll be interesting right after drinking, but lets do it."
Deleted user
"Have you ever slow danced before?" he asked, raising an amused eyebrow. He was finding it hard to resist grinning.
@gracehustle
Vanessa rolled her eyes and flushed slightly, "Pssh, of course I have..sometime, I just can't remember when…maybe highschool. No..middle school." Eventually she just shrugged and blushed some more, 'I don't really know."

"Alright, well, you gotta come a bit closer," he said, gently pulling her closer just as the singing started.
"You put your hand on each of my shoulders, I put mine on your hips, and we just kinda step to the beat."
@gracehustle
She nodded, a little surprised as he pulled her closer but doing as he said and gently setting her hands on his shoulders, "Seems easy enough."

"It's less about the dancing and more about the conversations you hold while dancing," he said, almost sheepishly. "I take dance instructions on the side to help with my footwork."
@gracehustle
"Lee? The amazing fighter, takes dance lessons? I didn't really expect that," She replied with a smile, looking up at him while following his lead in the slow dance.
Deleted user
"Football players take ballerina lessons for the same thing," he said with a shrug. "I thought dance would leave me a bit more dignity."
