“Sounds good to me,” Coppershine said with relief in her voice. With a sly smile, she bolted away. “Bet I can catch more than you!” she called.

"How much you bet?" Duckwing grinned as well, running after her.

“All the prey in the forest, mouse-brain!” Coppershine yelled in reply. She skidded to a stop in front of a bramble thicket where she could scent a squirrel. “Got you..” she whispered as she settled into her hunting crouch.

Duckwing went a different way and found a rabbit, quickly killing it and burying it before moving onward.

Coppershine pounced, and just missed the creature’s tail as it scurried away. “Fox dung!” she hissed. Now she was behind! She prowled ahead and scented a vole to her left. With a quick turn of her head, she caught the rodent in her teeth. Success!

Duckwing crept forward silently, his paws making no noise in the soft grass. He heard rustling nearby and pounced through the bushes, accidentally pinning Coppershine to the ground.

Coppershine was pushed into the ground with a thump, and she flailed around under the strong grip. “Hey!” she managed to gasp out.

"Sorry!" Duckwing stepped off of her, smoothing down her fur where he'd messed it up.

“Duckwing? Ah, I shoulda known it was you, you big lump!” Coppershine teased.

"Well, I heard you making loads of noise in these bushes and thought you were prey!" He huffed, turning away playfully.

“Loads of noise- you better watch it buddy!” With a pretend snarl, Coppershine leapt at Duckwing, and started batting at him with her claws sheathed.

Duckwing just dodged each of her swipes with ease, laughing. "You just go back to hunting, honey."

“Oh, is that how you wanna play it, sweetheart?” Coppershine asked sassily. Suddenly, she swept out Duckwing’s paws from under him. She jumped back on light paws, anticipating his retaliation.

Duckwing stumbled a bit, but quickly regained his balance and pounced towards her again, taking care to make sure his claws stayed in.

Lilypaw's fur bristled. "I smell Sunclan," she whispered. "Hurry, into this bush!" she dove into the undergrowth and felt Darkshadow press against her. She trembled, thinking of what could happen if she was found out by her clan, especially Eaglestar. She buried her muzzle in his fur.

Coppershine laughed as Duckwing landed on top of her. She tried to wiggle her way out, but she was stuck. “Duckwing, you’re like a rock!” she giggled. However, she stopped when a strange scent hit her nose. “Hey, do you smell that?”

"Hmm?" Duckwing looked around, scenting the air. "Yeah… can't quite figure out what it is, though. Any ideas?"

( omg I actually drew coppershine literally an hour after this rp started and now i wanna draw her and ducky bein cute! )

Coppershine sniffed the air thoughtfully. “… StormClan,” she murmured. “I’ve only met a StormClan cat once, and they smelled like a drowned rat. But this scent is weaker, though.”

"Hmm… should we investigate?" Duckwing stepped off of Coppershine, looking around warily.

Lilypaw dug her claws into the soft soil. Fox dung, she cursed in her head. I'm never going to become a warrior if Eaglestar finds out about this!

“I think so. I mean, it’s kinda our job to defend our territory from intruders, right?” Coppershine replied. “We should make sure this is nothing serious.”

Duckwing nodded and followed the scent, keeping his steps light in case of an intruder.

Coppershine followed suit, and soon noticed the scent was leading them towards a bush.

He approached the bush slowly before jumping into it, attacking whatever was inside.

Lilypaw yowled, and fell back out of the bush. Darkshadow hissed, unsheathing his claws.

"Intruder! What are you doing here?" Duckwing hissed, glaring at Darkshadow.

“Because, in case your nose stopped working, this isn’t your territory, and that means you should scram,” Coppershine snarled, the fur on her back rising. She caught a glimpse of a familiar pelt behind the StormClan warrior. “… Lilypaw?”
