she nodded and closed her eyes.

He stroked her hair soothingly before drifting off

Vanessa slowly drifted off.

Brink remained asleep well into the late hours of the morning, still exhausted from the night before

she stayed alseep feeling safe in his arms.

Jester ran into their bedroom and curled up between them "Mama! Dad! wake up!!!!!"
Brink groaned in protest "Jes, it's too early for this."

¨Mmm¨ she agreed.

"But it's 10 and I'm hungry!" He shook his dad's shoulder
brink sighed and opened his eyes "how long have you been awake?"
"2 hours."

¨Go ask Aunt jacks¨ she said.

"Aunty jacks don't know how to cook," Jes whined
"Tell you what, get everything out we need for breakfast and we'll meet you in the kitchen in 15 minutes. In the meantime, show aunty jack's your knife-throwing skills in the basement."
Jester smiled and nodded, hopping off the bed and running back to his room to fetch Jacks

Once Jester had left, Brink curled back up under the covers "what was that kitty? still, don't want to get up?"

she shook her head¨ no¨

He laughed softly "How are you feeling kitty cat?"

¨Like crap¨ she said.

He propped himself on an elbow and gently stroked her cheek "my pretty kitty cat. Let's hope the pain subsided soon."

¨I don´t feel pretty¨ she said.

He breathed a laugh "Oh but you are my dear, in your own, very tired looking way."

she groaned ¨Liar¨.

"Since when have you known me as a liar? especially when it comes to you, hm?" He asked, lips brushing against her ear

she directed her gaze towards him.

"ah, there are those eyes that I love so dearly." He kissed her cheek

¨You Love My Cat eyes¨ she asked.

"I love all of you, my dear." he murmured, lips against her neck

¨Mhhh¨ she agreed.

He bit down gently on a tender part of skin and kissed around the area
