"I don't care. I want to go home." He repeated, not moving from where he stood in the bathroom.

He sighed slowly before walking back into the room. “I know babe. But I need you to trust me. I promise you, things will be better for us if we stay here.” He said soothingly and slowly wrapped Kyle into a hug. “Why do you even want to go back?” He asked out of curiosity.

Kyle sighed and rested his head on Caleb’s chest with a shrug, “I dunno… I just do… I miss home.”

Caleb bit his lip. “Maybe….I could convince them to let us go back. Just maybe.” He kissed Kyle’s cheek.

He sighed again, "I'm just sick of being cooped up in here. I want to go out and do something. I want…" He shook his head, pulling away a little, "I want to start living again Caleb. Because… because if I don't get better then I don't want my last days spent in confinement and hiding."

He sighed “…I-I know.” He chuckled. “You always were a stubborn one weren’t you? Ever since the day I first met you, you always did things your own way. I’ll see what I can do about getting us out of here.”

He perked up a little, a small smile gracing his lips as he stood on his toes to press a kiss to the bottom of Caleb's jaw, "Thank you."

He smiled. “Of course. You know I’d do anything to make sure you’re happy.”

((Bruh Idk if we should just do a time skip then to where they actually get to go back??? Unless you want to do anything else before then.

(Idm, I have no idea for them staying right now but I did have one for like… when they got back?)

“I know… and I know you’ll keep me safe when we’re not here.”

Caleb took Kyle’s hand and brushed a light kiss across his knuckles. “As your metaphorical knight in shining armor, I can promise that I will keep you safe to the best of my ability.” He said in a formal tone, a teasing smile of course forming on his face to counter it.

((Okay well we can either do the time skip right now or in a few messages. It’d probably just be like a time skip of a few days or so. If we’re gonna do it now, would you be okay with starting it since you have an idea?

(Sure idm, just tell me when)

Kyle giggled, blushing lightly, “What ever would I do without you?”

He chuckled, “I don’t know. You’d probably be super boring and normal or something.” He said teasingly

Three days later.

After a day of debating, Kyle and Caleb were allowed to go home, which to the formers liking. It was nice to just be at home and not cooped up all the time.

It was a around the middle of the day when Kyle walked up to Caleb and hugged him, smiling sweetly, “Hey babbbe?”

He looked down at Kyle, raising an eyebrow. “What are you looking so smiley about sir?” He asked teasingly

Kyle giggled, wrapping his arms around Caleb's neck with a blush, "So I've been readin'," He started, drawing patterns on Caleb shoulder, "And there's this flower garden I reeeeallly wanna go to. Can we please go? Pretty please?" He batted his eyelashes up at him.

“Um..sure I guess.“ Caleb thought Kyle was acting a bit strange but he quickly dismissed the thought, he knew he was just being paranoid.

((Bruh why do I feel like Kyle’s gonna straight up murder Caleb

Kyle grinned, hugging Caleb tightly, “Yay! Thank you!” He kissed him, seeming the happiest he had in had been in months.

Caleb smiled, happy that Kyle was doing better. After a few minutes he broke the kiss, resting his forehead against Kyle’s. “So you wanna go like right now? Or later?”

((Not minutes, meant to type moments lol

“Now! Right now! It looks so beautiful Caleb, all the different flowers and plants.” He sighed dreamily, humming softly as he went to put his shoes on.

Caleb followed behind him. It was definitely more than a little weird to see Kyle this excited. But Caleb didn’t want to ruin Kyle’s mood with his paranoia, so he just kept the thoughts to himself.

Kyle started rambling about the things he’d seen when suddenly he stopped, looking at Caleb and pouted, “What’s wrong?”

“Hm? No, nothing’s wrong babe.” He quickly reassured Kyle. “I just haven’t seen you this excited in a long time I guess.”

"Oh…" He bit his bottom lip with a sigh, "Okay then." He mumbled, though he still didn't feel like that was the reason.

Caleb frowned a bit and gently wrapped his arms around Kyle. “Hey..I’m sorry. I didn’t mean to ruin your good mood.”

He sighed a little, "It's fine… I guess… I just thought you'd be happy that I dunno… I want to go out and do things and… I found something I was interested in again."

“And I am happy for you Kyle. You know I want you to have all the happiness in the world.” Caleb couldn’t help but feel that, piece by piece their relationship was falling apart.

"You um, don't have to come if you don't want to. I can go alone." Kyle mumbled, pulling away from the hug.

“….if that’s what you want..then I can stay here.” He said softly.
