Cicada was annoyed at the creature playing around her ankles. It was clearly the other witches familiar and she would rather he simply tell her what he wanted than to annoy her in this manner.

the creature looked up at her, seeing the annoyance in the witch's face and went back to Lychan. Lychan looked at the other witch is confusion and saw her annoyance "Sorry if Morro annoyed you he was just saying hello."

Alexander watched the witches with interest rather than fear. He walked right beside Cinthia, him on the inside, closer to the witches. "Here are your rooms," He said gesturing to two rooms, each on the opposite side of the hallway. "Ask if you need anything." He informed them.

@ShadeStar

Cicada nodded and stepped into one of the rooms with a vague jester to the other room, "I don't like animals all that much. So please do keep your cat away."

@V01DtheFae group

"Grimlakin and he does what he wants most the time" Lychan muttered and grabbed the doorknob to open the door then looked at the witch "I never got your name"

@ShadeStar

"And I never got yours," Cicada responded before walking into the room and shut the door behind her. She needed to start setting up. Did she have her book of spells and runes on her? Or did the guards take that from her.

Letting out a big sigh Lychan put his hand in the air closed his thumb to his index and middle fingers then pulled his hand down making a rift from which he gained his belongings and his materials for spells and rituals. He singled out his sketchbook and drew down his name tearing out the paper he folded it then slid it under the Witch's door

Cinthia watched the witches enter their rooms. When they disappeared, she turned towards her brother, opening her mouth to speak, then closed it when one of the witches came back out to slip a note under the other one's door. She eyed him carefully, wondering what he was up to. She had a hard time fathoming people sought out friends so quickly, so that wasn't the first thing to cross her mind.

@ShadeStar

Cicada took the paper, saw and the name, and then proceeded to burn the same paper using her magic. She tried to remember where her book was until she reached into her cloak and felt around for the infinite pocket she had sewn in just a little bit before she had gotten captured. Once found she managed to pull out her rune book and was grinning.

Alexander saw Cinthia wanting to speak but she seemed wary of the witches. "Let's talk somewhere else while they get settled in." He said, gently taking her hand and leading her to the library. He always loved the library because of how quiet it was and, to him, it always looked magical. He had always been fascinated with magic, which is what started this witch hunt.

@ElderGod-kirky group

Cinthia also loved the library, for similar reasons as Alexander with her own as well. She was a book nerd, so it was no surprise that she liked the solitude of the book-filled library. It also gave her a chance to have some time to herself. Once they were alone, Cinthia finally spoke. "What are you planning, Alex? I know you don't dislike magic as your parents had, but sparing prisoners for…what? What are you hoping to accomplish?"

@Shadow_Knight group

"I think rebels killed our parents on the road," Alexander confessed. "We need powerful people on our side and I don't think the nobles are going to listen to us. All they want is out money. I want to keep this kingdom alive. I definitely want to change somethings but I can't do that unless we get this revolution figured out first."

Not knowing what the other witch had done to that paper Lychan crossed his room from the desk to the bed then unfolded some covers and put an enchantment of peaceful sleep on them. After being satisfied with his work he moved to the window and repeated the enchantment. Feeling safe in his room now he sat down at his desk to draw and practice spells

Cinthia ran her fingers through her hand, instantly getting them tangled up in the trap that was her curls. "So you want witches to fight witches?" She pursed her lips and thought about it, the cogs in her mind turning over scenarios. "It's not a bad idea. If you can get more on your side, they would be less likely to revolt. They'll see an opportunity for a change—a good change. Maybe," she added after a moment.

@Shadow_Knight group

"That's what I want to do," Alexander said nodding. "Can you help me with this? It'd be a lot easier with you and I want to see what I can learn from them. Maybe not magic just maybe how it works." He explained as he fidgeted with his sleeves. Alexander usually didn't have plans this big and kept to himself so this was new for him.

@ElderGod-kirky group

Cinthia reached out and grabbed Alexander's wrists, stopping his fidgeting. She gave him a kind smile as she leaned in and looked up at him. "I'll be right by your side every step of the way, Alex, whether you want me there or not. There's no way I'm letting this slide without sticking my nose into it. I'm always there for you."

@Shadow_Knight group

Alexander looked down at his wrists and the back up at Cinthia. "Thank you," He said softly as he pulled her into a hug. "I love you," He wispered. His parents death had hit him hard and felt the only person he could trust was Cinthia, which is what also caused this witch hunt.

@ShadeStar

Cicada had spent the last few minutes flipping through her book to the different runes that worked. She found the ones she was looking for. The first one was for silence, which she drew on all of the walls and doors of her room to keep what was said in the room, in the room. The second rune was for protection, that was placed on the door and again all the walls, to protect everyone else from the beast that she had inside her body. The last rune was for strength, and this was drawn on her arm. She would need it for the days to come.

@ElderGod-kirky group

Cinthia paused at the hug, then wrapped her arms around Alexander and returned the embrace. "I love you too," she said softly, rubbing his back in what she hoped was a comforting manner. She had noticed how hard he had taken the king and queen's death, and she was sorry she couldn't offer more than a shoulder to cry and lean on or just a presence. Sure, she was good with words, but not ones concerning grief such as what he was going through. She had long evicted grief from her library of emotions.

@Shadow_Knight group

Alexander nodded and pulled away. "Alright. Tonight when we have dinner we'll invite the witches to discuss things. I'll notify the cooks." He said as he straightened his coat. "Do you want to look over all the letters we got?" He asked.

@ElderGod-kirky group

"It'll give me something to do, and you know how much I tend to bury myself into words and seemingly meaningless papers," she said with a chuckle, stepping back from him and adjusting her hair to cover part of her face again, as it had moved out of place when she hugged him.

@ShadeStar

Cicada let out a huff of air as she laid back on her new bed. How long had it been since she had slept on an actual bed? With a blanket? And people? It had been a while hadn't it? That also meant proper food, that meant proper food! She hadn't had full-on meals in a long time. Another thing she needed to add to her list was getting acquaintanced with the ghosts of the palace. Later, she was tired and hungry at the moment.
