"Well….. let's think."
She says pressing her finger to her bottom lip as she looked to the side, a piano sitting in the corner collecting dust.
"Is there an amusement park somewhere around here? I heard that there might be one soon."
She says as her eyes flashed over to his.
Thanks! Sorry I wasn’t able to respond.
No it's fine! Take your time and have fun! Don't worry about it!
Met followed her gaze to the piano, biting his lip a little with a soft sigh. “Amusement park? I-er… I don’t know,” He admitted with a soft chuckle. “I don’t really know the places around here because I work so much.”
"What about the one we went to? Is it gone? Hmm okay…..oh there's that aquatic museum down town, I've never been but I've seen a lot of pictures!"
She says turning her attention back to him with a soft smile.
“I’m not sure, I haven’t been down that way in ages. Aquatic museum? I guess we could go, traffic’s not too bad.” He smiled back at her as her pale eyes met his icy blue ones again.
"Nice! Should we go today? Or should we schedule for the next time we're both available?"
She asks fitting her head as a puppy would.
"Wait did that sound too confusing? To me it definitely did"
“Oh, I assumed we were going today,” He admitted with a soft laugh, rubbing the back of his neck like he used to when he made a mistake of any sort. “I’d like to go today. But we’re in gym clothes and it’s usually super cold in aquariums.”
"Well lets take a trip home and we'll meet up when we're ready! Sound like a plan?"
She says grabbing her plate and her cup as she stood.
Met watched her stand and hastily gulped down the rest of his cake and slugged the rest of his hot coffee.
“Yep-yep, that sounds good,” He hissed through the burning sensation of his tongue and taste buds as he stood with her.
"Ah! Sorry! You didn't have to finish that so quickly! I could have waited!"
She says looking around for something that could help, though she knew there was nothing really.
As she looked around as if expecting something to hop out of the ground to help, he flushed into a blush.
“Oh, no, it’s okay. I just wanted to walk you to your house. Or maybe you could hitch a ride from me?”
"Wait really? Are you sure? Wouldnt wants to cause you any inconveniences."
She says looking up to her with her big eyes, a concerned expression on her face.
“No it’s okay! It won’t take me too long to take a shower and go and pick you up again later.” He smiled a bit. He did have plenty of gas and a thirst to make what happened between them better.
"Oh okay i guess you can then."
She says heading to the door, tucking a piece of hair behind her ear, setting the plates and cups where they need to be before she turns to Met with a smile.
"You ready?"
Met stretched his arms over her to set his things down too, smiling as he stepped back and stuck his hands into his gym shorts.
“I sure am.” He featured for her to go first as he took out his keys from his shorts, humming softly.
Her face turning a little red as he stretched his arms over her as he set his own things down, though she quickly ignored it….well tried to at least, and walked out of the shop with a smile.
Met unlocked his car and opened the door for her, looking around curiously at the passerby and the cars ambling by. Once she got in he went to the driver’s side and buckled up, humming softly, trying not to keep the car in awkward silence after their questionable date.
(Questionable date?! XD I'M DEAD)
She buckled up her seatbelt, looking at Met to see if he did that same as she used to always do whenever they would get it a car.
"Gotten into the habit? I'm glad."
She says with a soft smile as she looks at him then to road in front of them.
(xDD)
There was one time he didn’t buckle his seat belt just to go to the gas station for some gas with her, and suddenly it had just became a whole thing, because it ended up in a screaming match (with her doing most of it with worrying about his safety and getting in a crash). He remembered it quite well and made sure he always buckled up to avoid more screams. A few years later this was not something to change. He mumbled something and just shrugged, pulling out of the parking spot.
"No comment huh? I see you've learned your lesson"
She says jokingly with a little laugh, sitting back in the seat and pulling her hair up into a ponytail.
“It was one time,” He grumbled a bit more audibly as he drove forward a little, only to be haunted at a light. He gripped the wheel and sat back in his seat, nibbling on his lips and wondering whether he should start using chapstick.
"I'm glad that's all not took!"
She says with a little giggle, adjusting the straps of her tank top.
“It was one time!” He repeated with vigor, glancing at her again and frowning a little. “We were going down the street!” He decided that would be the last he talked about it, because she’d start to yell at him again.
"I-im sorry"
She says as her smile faded, her body tensed up as she looked out the window. She was only trying to play around…..
But maybe he was just tired.
“That’s fine,” He mumbled in response, his face still somewhat taught with unhappiness, frowning. Though a few moments later it seemed to disappear smoothly, sighing as he drove.
She was quiet the rest of the way. Was something wrong? She was only teasing and she didn't even raise her voice any. Did he change? Was that somehow a sensitive topic?
She was just so confused at this point.
