“Helpful,” Ian joked. “We could…play truth or dare? That’s kinda middle school, though.” He laughed. He couldn’t think of any other ideas at the moment.

Cassie giggled. "Alright, but you have to go first. I'm terrible at coming up with either."

“Okay, well so am I, but fine,” Ian said. “Just gotta think back to my middle school years. Okay, truth or dare?”

Cassie thought for a moment. "Truth," she answered finally.

“Okay, truth…” Ian murmured. “First impression of me?”

"What events? Well let's see here, the only one I can recall at the moment is when this one girl, Lola, I think her name was, she tried to pull a prank on you, to get you in trouble. You don't exactly have the best… reputation for being a nice girl. You're not mean, just, mean sometimes," Kaori compromised. "And after that? Eh… you kind of drove her out of this school, but that did get you a 3 day suspension from school…"

Cassie hummed thoughtfully. "To be honest, I thought you were sort of a jerk," she said frankly.

Ian shrugged. “I don’t blame you,” he said. “I do act like a jerk at school…”

"Aren't you always fighting with that other kid, whatever his name is?" Cassie asked.

“Yeah, Johnny and I fight kind of a lot,” Ian admitted. “I’ve almost forgotten what it’s like to not be constantly at odds with him. Anyway, it’s your turn to ask me now.”

Charlotte nodded. "Okay, truth or dare?"

“Hmm…truth,” Ian said, after a short moment of thought.

Cassie thought for a moment. "Okay, full-on middle school sleepover: who's your crush?" She asked overdramatically.

“Cassie,” Ian whined. “I fucking hate that question.” He blushed furiously, something that he didn’t do often. To be honest, he hadn’t really been crushing on anyone, but he did think Cassie was cute. If he said her then he could either start a relationship or ruin the friendship they had going, but he said no one then she’d probably call him out on his partial lie. He decided to at least attempt to say no one. “I honestly hadn’t thought about that.”

Cassie giggled. "Come on, if middle schoolers can answer that question, then so can you."

Ian rolled his eyes. “Actually, middle school me evaded that question too,” he quipped. “But I suppose…you.”

Cassie gasped, turning red. "Wha - I - really?"

“You asked,” Ian replied, his face flushed as well. “Also yes. Really.”

"Sorry, sorry. I wasn't trying to embarrass you, I just - that's never happened before," she laughed nervously.

“Really?” Ian asked. Now it was his turn to be surprised. “But you’re so nice and pretty and smart and cool….”

"No, I'm really - I'm not - that's really - " she stammered, unable to form complete sentences.

“You are,” Ian said, a small smile on his face. He was still blushing quite a bit.

"So what you're saying is that I was standing up for myself? Of course I'm not going to let someone do something like that. Of course getting her to leave school might have been rough." So, technically I'm sort of a mean girl. "Since you told me what I want to know, what do you want to know?"

Cassie buried her face in a pillow again. "Thanks," came her muffled voice.

Kaori took a deep breath. "Who are you… really? You're not the Nagi I know… you're someone else altogether. Who are you? And why have you been impersonating someone I know for all this time?"

"I am Nagi! If you really knew her or me I guess you would know it's me. Sure there are a few differences, but not much. I look exactly like her don't I?" It was frustrating that Kaori didn't believe her. How she possibly impersonate someone else. "Alright, what do you know about Nagi that only she herself would know, ask a question and I'll answer."

"But that's an impossible question for me to come up with!" Kaori protested. He didn't know her well enough to even come close to something decent. "I didn't know you- Nagi well enough to come up with such a question!"

"Okay, then don't assume I'm not Nagi, how would you know I'm not her if you barely knew her!" Kaori seemed to be a level headed person, but right now she was seeing a new side to him. "This morning I woke up in some weird other world. I was thrown into a life I didn't know. I'm Nagi, but not the Nagi any of you know." She sat back in her seat. Mentioning this was a Webcomic would have been a bad idea since he maybe a main character, so other world was best thing she could come up with.
