“So what do you do in your spare time?” Ian asked. “I mean, up until today I’d only seen you at school and it wasn’t as if we ever really talked much.”

“Can we watch them?” Ian asked earnestly, his eyes shining. “But if it makes you too uncomfortable, we don’t have to,” he added after a few beats.

Cassie visibly cringed. "God, I hate watching myself act, but um… there's a few on Netflix," she turned on the tv and switched to Netflix to find the shows.

Cassie snorted. "No, I'm not. Ok, I was in a few episodes of this one," she clicked on the show and scrolled through the episodes until she found the right one.

“That’s exactly what I’m talking about; you’re so cool and you can’t see it,” Ian explained. “It’s because you can’t see it that makes you cool.” He repeated his words in his head, cringing. It was true that he admired that she and Nagi had their own version of coolness, not seeming to care much about the opinions of others, but he would never admit it. Except, of course, he just did. He blushed, ready to tell Cassie to forget it, but didn’t open his mouth. He kind of wanted to see her reaction first.

Cassie sighed and leaned back, crossing her arms. She had the constant urge to keep up a running commentary, but knew that would be annoying.
