Elizabeth blinked in surprise. "I, um…" she started before shaking her head. "I don't have any money, so… I really can't."

“I can buy you one,” Max offered. “They’re not very expensive, so it’s not a problem.”
"I can pay." Lexath signed, pulling out a change purse and rattling it a bit, they forgot if Elixabeth knew sign so they hopped that was enough.
"I can pay," Ava said pulling out a debit card. Her parents gave it to her before dumping her here. They thought this made up for cursing her. She may have already spent a lot of it to spite them. They'd just add more though.
"No, nonono, that's - wow. Um, thank you. All. But no, I really can't ask that," Elizabeth stammered, physically taking a step back in shock.
"You seem cool and you float, so I'm going to be your friend and friends buy each other stuff." Lexath stated, slipping their purse into their bag.
Max noticed Ezra and called out to him, waving. “Hey Ezra!” he called with a grin, motioning him over. He turned to Ava, feeling a little guilty. “Technically no, but it’s pretty easy to sneak out. This town is really safe.”
Ezra was about to pick up his speed and pretend he didn’t hear the voice call him, but his astral was tugging at the back of his shirt. He frowned at it, “You’re a really bad astral, you know that right?” He grumbled before approaching Max. It seemed like a lot from their table group was already here. His astral floated around in circles excitedly, but Ezra ignored it and asked, “Um hey, what do you want?” He hated how he came off as rude, but he didn’t want his curse to hurt Max, especially because he was so nice to him.
Elizabeth's eyes widened in shock as she watched him sign. "No, I - right, ok. Except it's not 'buying each other stuff' if I can't buy you anything."

“Do you wanna come get shakes with us tonight?” Max asked, eyes shining with excitement.
Elizabeth's eyes widened in shock as she watched him sign. "No, I - right, ok. Except it's not 'buying each other stuff' if I can't buy you anything."
"That's okay! I accidentally was given a bunch of money." they hesitated for a seccond before signing acidentily.
(Oh wow that acidentily though amiright)
Elizabeth hesitated. "I guess…" she trailed off uncertainly. This whole mess was just… why did I ever come here in the first place?
Once the bell rang, all the kids had run out of the class ready to leave the building. Gavriel, however, didn't care. He went outside of the class near the entrance of the school and saw the same group of kids from earlier all huddled around talking about shakes of some kind. He saw Max from earlier too and felt a tinge of regret. Earlier in the day, he noticed that he was acting ill-mannered towards him and also cringed a bit. Now that it was past 3, he knew what he was going to have to do. He walked up to the group and internally sighed. First impressions suck.
(I forgot to add to the template what his second curse was and I can't really describe it so don't mind me slipping it into the rp now)
Max noticed Gavriel and smiled at him. “Hi!” he called cheerfully, wondering why he looked so upset…was that the right word?
The more people who arrived, the closer Romilly inched towards Max. She politely waved to the ew arrivals and managed a smile. She was mostly excited for shakes. How many more people had to arrive?
"Hey, um…" He trailed off, seeing that everyone in the group was in earshot of what he was about to say. "Uhh, I'm sorry. For earlier. I can't help it. Literally." He said, glad that it was finally out of the way.
Max was a little confused for a moment before remembering how reluctant the boy had been to engage in conversation. “Oh, it’s fine,” Max replied. “No worries. Hey, do you wanna go get shakes with us later?”
"Sure." He answered as the corner of his lips did their best to try to pull together a smile. "About what time are you guys going?"
“Say, in two hours?” he suggested. Then it wouldn’t be dark outside yet, but still exciting.
“Do you wanna come get shakes with us tonight?” Max asked, eyes shining with excitement.
Ezra really wanted to say no. He really, really did. For Max’s sake. But dang it he looked so excited and Ezra hadn’t gone out in a while- “I- um, I guess.” He tilted his head a little in a nod, making his astral disappear before it could get too happy.
“Sweet!” Max said with a grin. “This is gonna be so fun!”
Romilly looked at Max’s face and mirrored his grin, “I like fun!”
“Okay, so we’ll meet behind the school in two hours,” Max explained. “Does that sound good to everyone?”
“Sounds okay to me,” Ezra mumbled, trying to push away the feeling in his chest. He should not be happy about going out with a group of people—putting them in danger. Even if he might have fun, this wasn’t his place.
Elizabeth sighed, pulling her hood back over her head. Why the hell did some people always have to try to be nice? It made no sense at all, and she was just going to be uncomfortable, anyway.
"I'm good with that!" Ava says still smiling. "I'm going to my dorm I'll see you guys then!"
(Time skip?)
(yeah sounds good)
Later that day, Max was waiting behind the school for the others to show up. He whistled a tune to give himself something to do.
Gavriel had changed outfits into something more form-fitting, going over his head about what excuse he was going to have to tell them about his behavior the next day. He paced back and forth around his room before finding his answer and going to the back of the school to meet up with the group.
Max beamed when he saw Gavriel. “Hi, I’m so glad you came!” he said. From a different person, it might have sounded insincere, but it was easy to tell Max was being genuine.
