andrew (Our Supreme Lord and Overseer) flicked his hand towards himself once, calling the all butterflies back to him. They then phased through his body when they reached him.
“So, is this now everyone?” He turned to ask the owner of the place.
(Umm, @Lori_wants_to_sleep did you want your character to come or decline through letter? Just want to make sure before we move on)
(Decline through letter. I'm gonna be a bit busy for a while so, I think it'd be good if I just wait out the meeting (sorry!))
(No it’s all good, I just wanted to make sure I didn’t miss your post or anything)
Marco smiled, “We might as well not wait any longer. Thank you all for coming here. You see, all of us have something in common. Our little abilities.” Marco grinned, “I assure you it took a long time to dig through old records and find the rumors that faded away, so I haven’t called you all here to just sit and have a dinner party.” Marco smiled, “However, because this is important I think we might as well acquaint ourselves before I go any further. Feel free to give a fake name if you wish, but my name is Marco Soltan.”
"I'm Gwen, like I already said," Gwen announced. "Gwen Cassidy."
“andrew (Our Supreme Lord and Overseer) Carter” the suited man with a small butterfly on his shoulder introduced.
"It's Olivia, no need for you to know my last name." Olivia said examining her long pointed nails, so far this was boring, it was oh so tempting to kill the man and get this whole thing over with.
"Cassiel Marie," she told shem uncertainly, still examining the room. "You have a lot of iron in here," she observed quietly.
Already, andrew (Our Supreme Lord and Overseer) sensed a bad aura coming from the lady who didn’t say her last name. His instincts were telling him that she was more likely to be dangerous than not. He glanced at the butterfly on his shoulder before blowing it lightly, making it disappear.
“So…” he put his hands together “…why are we here?”
“Ahh, I’ve been just dying to tell you.” He gave a charming smile to the whole group. “So I’m sure you all know of how we live in a divided world. Qisa (they are in Qisa rn), the Republic of Marot, the Kavan nation, and of course the Empire of Stromine. All the little petty squabbles between the kingdoms and their governments. Doesn’t it ever bore you?” Marco raised his fork with his mind, flicking in the air as if that was the only entertaining thing to do. “Here we are, just sitting around the table. We have something the world never had before. We have magic, right at our fingertips.” Marco stood from his chair, “So tell me, why are just sitting here? Why are we sitting here like little children, when we could finally grow up and take on the world. We could unite under our power.” Marco looked each of them in the eye, “We could rule the world together. We could take on armies on our own. So tell me why we are sitting here. So that’s why I’ve brought you all here today. To propose to you an opportunity—an opportunity to rule the world.”
andrew (Our Supreme Lord and Overseer) leaned against his chair and tapped his chin in a thinking matter.
“Alright… I’ll tell something…” he sat back up straight and held out his index finger. A blue butterfly landed on his finger.
“I don’t have the slightest thought of ruling the land, however, I do have a reason to join this alliance of yours. Maybe the ruling part could be a profit of mine” he gave out the idea as the butterfly disintegrated.
“With that said, I’m in on this” he sent Marco a mischievous yet friendly grin.
Gwen looked at Marco in disbelief. "Well I am absolutely out! We'd have to fight to rule. We would have to hurt people. I don't like hurting people, especially with my powers."
Oliva looked at the child, "How do you think the current world was formed a bunch of old guy's sitting at a table drawing lines on a map? Fighting is a part of life darling, I'm in."
"Sorry, no, I can't. I actually like the world the way it is. This isn't like a 'join or die' thing, right? I don't want to anger whatever deity gave me this," she gestured to her hand. "So, unfortunately, no."
Marco narrowed his eyes slightly at the two who declined. “It’s not a join or die thing, no, but don’t think of crawling back to us once we take the world. And don’t expect mercy, either, if you get in our way.” Marco told them coldly. It didn’t matter, three would still be plenty enough. He levitated two knives, pointing them at Cassiel and Gwen, “Since you declined, though, I’m going to have to ask you two to leave.” He shooed at them with one hand.
"Hey, now, the knife really isn't necessary. I don't tend to spend my time with people who want to take over the world," Cassie rolled her eyes and walked out. Completely ridiculous. I wasted my time coming here for a madman and a few people with talents?
Gwen glared at the knife hovering in front of her face. She didn't like people threatening her, no matter who they were. "I suggest you take that knife away from my face," she said calmly. "It's a good thing I don't like hurting people otherwise you'd be dead on the floor before you could even open your mouth to scream. I'm leaving now, but you better believe I'll do whatever it takes stop you." With that, she rushed out of the room and the house before any of the them could come after her. She hated bullies, hated people who believed that they had the right to rule everything. Distracted by her anger, she didn't notice Cassiel hadn't left until she ran into her. "Oh, I'm so sorry!"
Cassie nearly fell over, catching herself just in time. "It's alright," she assured her before falling silent for a moment, lost in thought. "So, you're really going to try to stop them?"
“I have to,” Gwen responded. “I can’t let them take over the world. They didn’t look like good people, and I could tell they wouldn’t rule fairly or justly. I have to stop them. As bad as our government system is now, with them it would be so much worse.”
Cassie shrugged. "I suppose. I'd do the same, but I just don't see what difference a single person with an odd ability is going to make," she said, referring to herself. "Not that I liked being threatened with a knife."
“Pfft, good luck kid,” Marco muttered as he rolled his eyes. He didn’t care what powers the girl had, he couldn’t be killed that easily. He set the knives down on the table, another smile appearing on his face once the girl left. “So good to have the weak ones rooted out. Now, down to the real business. I assumed Qisa would be the easiest to take first, considering their barely trained military is small to begin with. Unless either of you have any other ideas for the master plan…?”
“Well it wouldn’t just be you.” Gwen gave her a small smile. “We’d work together. There’s only three of them, and we could try to contact the person who didn’t show up today. The might help us. Besides, we have to try. We can’t let them take over. I’ve lived with a bad ruler before and let me tell you it was not fun.” She finished darkly.
"I've lived with a lot of bad people. That doesn't mean that I can do anything to stop them," she argued quietly. "If you come up with a plan, then… maybe, I guess."
"Well I can't come up with a plan until we know what we're up against," Gwen told her. "Unfortunately until they actually do something, there's nothing we can do."
"Qisa, while a good place to strike wont be our biggest threat, I propose we take Qisa but while we're doing that send a small team into each of the other countries to infiltrate the system, they'll be harder to take with brute force and we'll need some insiders to start infiltrating the other kingdom's now. Once we have people inside the other kingdom's they can work on setting them against each other in an all out war, once they're distracted we can take over them more easily, they're troops will all be out fighting a war leaving their home less defended." Olivia said almost absentmindedly, but her eye's gleamed with excitement.
