"Cas, she just wants to speak with me for a bit, okay?" he caressed his cheek and kissed his temple. "I trust her."

"I'll have a maid escort you to your room, Cas," Kyoko smiled at him.

Cas's heart started pounding faster. They were going to force him to leave Sorin again. He meowed shakily, moving closer to Sorin when a maid approached.

Sorin stroked his hair. "He doesn't like leaving me."

Kyoko put her hands on her hips. "I can see that," she ran her fingers through her dark hair, revealing a gold ring on her finger. Sorin looked at it curiously.

Cas didn't notice the ring, his eyes fixed on the maid. He wouldn't let her take him from Sorin. He couldn't. What if Kyoko was dangerous after all?

"So what do you want to talk to me about?" he asked but quickly spoke before she could speak. "And i'm not leaving Cas. If you have something to say, say it here and say it now."

Kyoko rolled her eyes and sighed. "Fine, just sit tight," she turned to the maid. "Go get Asa for me please." She quickly obeyed and went up the stairs.

"Asa–"

"Trust me, you are gonna want to see this."

Cas took Sorin's hand in his own and clung to it, watching the place where the maid had disappeared to make sure she wouldn't sneak up on him and take him away.

Sorin gaped at the maid when she came down with an infant in her arms and handed the babe to Kyoko. "…What?"

"Yeah, and that's not even the best part! The child isn't mi–"

"Then who's baby is that?"

Kyoko scratched the back of her head. "Shen's… and Veronica's." Berenice. He had refused to call her by the name she had given herself. "And it's pretty obvious why I have this little bundle of joy." she softly waved the baby around in their faces.

Cas turned his gaze to the baby curiously, standing on his toes to try and see its face. Interesting… and strange. He thought to himself, examining the infant from afar.

Sorin continued to stare, his mouth slightly parted in disbelief. "You're joking, right? Are you sure the baby isn't yours?"

Kyoko blinked at him and held Asa close to her chest. "Okay, first of all, i'm lesbian and second of all, i'm nineteen."

Cas let a meow roll off his tongue and tentatively approached, still holding onto Sorin's hand. His ears pricked forward as he examined the baby closer.

Kyoko glanced at him then Asa then back at him. "You wanna…wanna hold her?"

"Uh… s-sure…" Cas carefully held the baby in his arms, looking down at her(?). Asa started fussing a bit, so he started purring and held her closer to calm her down, which seemed to work. He held Asa so her head was over his heart so she could hear it beat, remembering that being something that calmed him as a child.

Sorin watched Cas and the child in awe.

Meanwhile, Kyoko watched them both carefully, prepared to defend and protect Asa in case any harm came her way.

Cas seemed to relax more, knowing his heartbeat would calm Asa more if it wasn't quick and erratic. His purring continued and his tail and ears flicked calmly.

"Veronica was going to eat her. So it's justified kidnapping, really," Kyoko softly smiled. "I'm honestly glad I took her in."

Sorin wrapped his arms around Sorin from behind, giving him at least some support in holding the baby.

Cas started singing something that seemed to be a lullaby, but he was singing it so softly he was practically just humming. He supported Asa's head with one hand, and cradled her body in the other. She seemed to be quite close to falling asleep.

Kyoko smiled softly upon looking at the two.

Sorin nuzzled his hair and closed his eyes as he listened to the beauty in his arms.

Cas stopped singing once Asa fell asleep. He seemed to be surprisingly good with children, despite not having said anything about encountering many children in his past. "Did I do something good…?" He asked quietly.

Kyoko nodded and gently picked her up from his arms, handing her to the maid and telling her to put her in her crib.

Sorin kissed his cheek. "You did amazing. Who knew you were so good with children?"

Cas shrugged. "I do the same thing with kittens I find. Babies of any species really aren't that different, honestly." He held Sorin's hand again, watching the baby get taken away.

"A baby who's half demon is, though," Kyoko added. "She rarely cries, nor sleeps. Good job on that part." She smiled at them. "Now, whenever you are ready, I will escort the two of you to your rooms."

"No, we'll be sharing one," he said, earning a questioning look then a grin from Kyoko.

"I see."

Cas examined Kyoko's expression curiously, unable to read her expression. "…Why are you smiling like that?"

Sorin narrowed his eyes on her. "Yeah, why are you smiling like that?"

Cas continued watching Kyoko distrustfully, holding a bit tighter to Sorin's hand.

"Oh nothing," she walked up the stairs and waved them over to follow her. She finally stopped and opened a door, only to reveal a large king sized bed, two small sofas, and a large TV. "This is your room from now on." She looked at Sorin and it was evident that she was trying not to smile. "Enjoy."

Cas looked around the room in awe. "Shit… this place is the size of my old house. We're allowed to stay here?"

Kyoko nodded. "Well, I'm gonna leave you guys to it," she waved at the two before she left. Sorin set his bag down.

"Leave us to what? What is she talking about??" Cas watched her leave, confused.

Damn you, Kyoko. "Don't worry about it."

"Okay…" Even with all this space at their disposal, Cas didn't seem interested in even letting go of Sorin's hand to explore. He had evidently become more clingy after the whole shed debacle.
