"Do you want the light-out glasses or the earplugs, baby?" Deceit said softly, careful not to disturb his son who was far too on edge to be healthy if disturbed.
"Do you want the light-out glasses or the earplugs, baby?" Deceit said softly, careful not to disturb his son who was far too on edge to be healthy if disturbed.
Logan nodded and put them on, tapping one foot on the ground. Eventually, he managed to speak. "Can… c-can we do a puzzle…?" He stammered quietly, still unable to make eye contact with anyone.
"Yeah, what kind of puzzle?" Deceit asked, standing up slowly. If anyone made any sudden moves when he was in a similar state, they'd either be giving him hell or receiving hell, so he could sympathize.
"Any…" Logan got up unsteadily, the ice pack simply being held in his hands rather than used. Deceit hadn't seen the black eye very well yet since it was Logan's right, and Deceit had entered the room on the left.
"Logan, your eye…. do you want something to put on that?" Deceit asked as an alternative to 'Whomst must I murder' given that that probably wouldn't make things better.
Logan stared down at the ice pack quietly. "V gave me the… uh…" He was quiet again for a moment. "…this…."
Virgil came back in quietly, placing a cup of liquid pain medication on the small coffee table. He knew Logan wouldn't swallow pills in this state.
They got a puzzle and set it on the coffee table. Logan crawled into Deceit's lap and started putting the pieces together. Puzzles were something that usually helped him relax, which was why he'd suggested it.
Remus watched Lo from afar, knowing he didn't like contact when he had his episodes. You could almost see the plotting going through his eyes as he seemed to think of a way to get rid of those kids. He knew he couldn't do much, seeing how he was younger than them and he couldn't use his powers for obvious reasons.
(I wish i could join but it's probably to late)
(It is. Sorry.)
(i could tell)
After a minute or two, Logan took off his cracked glasses and threw them across the room. Luckily, they landed on carpet and didn't break any further, but he couldn't stand the crack being in his vision while he was trying to see the puzzle. The main downside was that he couldn't really see at all now, which hadn't crossed his mind of course.
Virgil walked over and picked up the glasses, luckily Logan always had extra pairs of them in his room. "I'll go get your other pair, alright baby brother?"
Logan just nodded and started fidgeting with the ice pack again. It had started melting by now since he hadn't actually used it for his eye, and he was a bit disoriented from being practically blind. His eyesight really was bad.
Virgil reappeared a few minutes later, setting the extra air next to Logan's hand. "I'm going to get started on some homework, but I'll be in my room if you need me."
"Okay…" Logan put on the new glasses and continued the puzzle until he'd finished it. After that, he grabbed a few jars of Crofters from the fridge and sat on the couch. He drew his knees up to his chest, quietly eating the jelly with a spoon.
Logan finished one jar and carried the other three upstairs, knocking on Virgil's door. "V?" He asked, adjusting his grip on the jars.
Virgil opened the door, his pencil was behind his ear and he had his readin glasses on. "What's poppin, Lo?"
"Can I sit with you?" He asked quietly, looking up at Virgil. His normally neat hair was a bit disheveled, and he still seemed rather tense. His spoon dangled from one hand, and he had a second clean one in the other.
"Of course, come sit on the beanbag and you can grab one of your books if you want. I think you left a few last times you were here." Virgil opened the door wider for Logan.
"Do you want Crofters?" Logan offered a jar and the clean spoon to Virgil after he'd stepped into the room.
"I'm alright bud, you can have it." Virgil said, sitting back down at his desk/ art desk.
Logan sat down on the beanbag and grabbed a book, the spoon still in his mouth as he read quietly. One leg tapped on the floor a bit while he did so.
Virgil decided to take a break from his homework and instead decided to sketch Logan, he would give it to him as a present to hopefully make him feel a bit better.
After a while, Logan let the book lay in his lap while he fidgeted with his bracelet. He was usually pretty quiet during episodes like this, and this time was no different.
Virgil smilled and stood up, sitting down next to Logan and holding out the paper. "I drew you reading." He stated.
Logan looked up curiously and examined the paper. Eventually, he took the paper and hugged Virgil tightly. "Th-Thank you…" He said quietly, his voice wavering.
Virgil laughed softly, ruffiling his younger brother's hair. "Anything for the best little brother in the world, don't let the others hear that though."
Logan nodded, brushing away tears with one hand as he looked down at the drawing.
