(I'm here!)
(I'm here!)
(I'm late but I'm here!)
(Awesome! I think everyone’s here, yay! I’ll post a starter)
Marco sat at the front of the grand feast, levitating an iron fork in the air to entertain himself. Servants bustled around, cleaning the floor until it was spotless and polishing the silverware before it was set out. He watched them with cold eyes, waiting for a mistake. None were made in his presence. To most, he was just a wealthy man who often stayed in his manor. But his servants knew his true power, and if they slipped up… They knew what would happen. So they feared him. Good.
He had sent letters out, inviting a few individuals here, to his palace. He’d heard rumors. Rumors of special people, like himself. A woman of poison and speed. A man of butterflies and curses. A female that could move things with her mind. A lady who could take on different skins. A woman that had the power of lightning.
He planned a proposal to all of them. (The protags would decline his proposal) A plan he had been thinking of for a while now. To conquer the divided nations of the world. First, they could take on Qisa (pronounced Kee-sa). Then the Republic of Marot (Mar-o-t). Then Kavan (Kay-ven) nation. And finally, they would claim the Empire of Stromine (Stro-meen). They would be unstoppable- they could take on armies with the incredible power they had.
(Oof he only invited people in the letters, he didn’t write his plans)
Elise read the letter thoroughly, making sure to not miss a single detail. When she finished, she sighed with disappointment. A waste of my time. She began to prepare her declining letter carefully, making sure to choose the right words as to not offend the man.
(Oh frick I'm sorry!)
(It’s a-okay, I should’ve made it clearer oof, my bad)
Olivia read her letter from her throne, she grinned, the guy was rich even if she didn't like his proposal she could just kill him and take all of his money. A pair of her guards stood ready to send her reply. "Girls, Get my evening gown ready, you know the one, we have a invitation to respond to." The two guards nodded, one left the room with a letter the other headed for Olivia's dressing room. Olivia's heels clacked on the smooth floor as she stood gracefully, She withheld a yawn. This invite better be interesting, she thought.
andrew (Our Supreme Lord and Overseer) got out back to his house after several hours of scouring a nearby forest of new species of insects. He saw the letter, picked it up and went into the house before anything.
An invitation? he thought, reading through the paper. Glaring at his necklace once, he decided. Slipping the letter into his pocket, he took what he had with him at the moment out with him to wherever this man is.
As per usual to every travel he had made, andrew (Our Supreme Lord and Overseer) got up on his rooftop and started maneuvering across roof after roof. In some cases, he would also spread his sapphire colored wings and glide through the air. He eventually landed where the mysterious man had marked for him. He knocked twice on the door.
A servant opened the door to reveal a grand entry. “Ah, hello sir, you must be one of my master’s guests. Right this way,” The servant moved to the side to let the stranger in. “If you’ll follow me to the dining hall…” She began walking to one of the large oak doors inside and opened that one to reveal the dining hall, Marco sitting at the head of the table with a cruel smile on his face. The servants who had been in there moments ago had conveniently disappeared before the guest could see.
“Ah, welcome to my humble abode, have a seat, why won’t you? There’s a few other guests that should be arriving.” Marco started, gesturing to the five empty seats at the table.
The jacketed man followed the servant to the dining hall, above his shoulder showed a glowing blue monarch butterfly. When he spotted the master of the hall, he smiled and sat down at the seat beside him.
“andrew (Our Supreme Lord and Overseer) Carter from the harbor, pleasure to make your acquaintance” he introduced himself with a soft smile and a bow. The butterfly above his shoulder floated around the master of the hall before landing again on andrew (Our Supreme Lord and Overseer)’s head.
(Wait so I'm a little confused. When you said the protags were going to refuse, did you mean refuse the proposal to take over the world, or refuse the invitation to even come to the house?)
“It’s quite a pleasure to meet you as well,” Marco tipped his head in greeting. “I would explain why I brought you here, but we might as well wait for the other guests to arrive. Feel free to dine, and don’t worry, it’s not poisoned,” Marco gestured to the feast on the table, filled with roast chicken, ham, salads, and other masterfully prepared dishes.
(I figured refuse the proposal, but it’s okay if they refuse the invitation altogether)
(Okay thanks)
Gwen scanned the letter, cocking her head in confusion. Someone was inviting her to dinner. Someone she didn't know. The whole thing seemed very strange to her, but she decided she might as well see what they want. She had nothing planned for tonight anyways, and it might turn out to be a good thing she went.
She flicked through the few gowns she owned, picking out a dark turquoise one, before changing, and stepping outside. Feeling a smile spread across her face, she turned into eagle, and launched herself up into the air. A while later she landed where the letter had said, transformed back, put on a confident smile, and knocked on the door.
(Oh heck I have literally nothing to do in any of my rps could I just erase that "letter of declination" thing and have my character accept it?)
(Yeah, I figured even though I'm a protag, I'd at least go see what he wants. Also I'd give me more to write)
andrew (Our Supreme Lord and Overseer) nodded and got some of the salad before anything else. This reminded him of when he was back at his hometown and cooking meals for his family.
“Can you tell me about the pile of iron by the entrance? What’s that for?” He asked while plating his food.

(Yeah, totally cool)

Marco smirked, “You see, something about me and all that other guests I’ve invited here. There’ve been rumors floating around about all of us. I’m fairly certain all those rumors are true,” Marco waved a hand in the air nonchalantly. “I can manipulate iron with my mind. I have piles of iron around the manor for defense, should I ever need it.”
Cassiel's eyes scanned the paper in front of her with incredible speed, her brow furrowing more and more as she read it. She was being invited to a man's house, for some reason. After a few moments of thinking, she shrugged. It wasn't like she had anything better to do. She managed to get someone to take her to the house mentioned on the paper, the entire time thinking, what I wouldn't give for flight powers. After several minutes, she walked up to the door and knocked on it.

Another servant opened the door, “Another guest, lovely. My master will be quite happy to know you’ve arrived. Right this way.” The servant stepped back and led the woman through the entry hall to the dining room, where Marco was once again all smiles to see another guest arrive. “Welcome, welcome. Come, have a seat.”

The servant, standing backup for the first, smiled as he opened the door, “Hello there, ma’am, right this way,” He stood back to let her in before trailing after the first servant to go to the dining hall where Marco’s smile brightened, “Ooo, another guest, lovely. Being honest, I didn’t think this many would come. Have a seat.”
As andrew (Our Supreme Lord and Overseer) saw two other people come in, he waved to them. The butterfly on his head flew towards the two newcomers before it divided into two butterflies and floated around them. The insects then came back to andrew (Our Supreme Lord and Overseer), both of them positioned themselves on each of his shoulders.
Marco smirked, “You see, something about me and all that other guests I’ve invited here. There’ve been rumors floating around about all of us. andrew (Our Supreme Lord and Overseer) nodded in understanding.
“That explains that. I might tell you about my powers, if you’re curious that is” he said, gently placing a cut of tender meat into his mouth.
Cassiel looked around carefully before sitting down, not touching anything on the table. "Sorry if I'm interrupting. Why was I invited here, exactly?"
“I’m actually quite interested. Rumors only tell so much,” Marco said as he cut himself a slice of pork with a levitating knife and fork. If they were going to be working together, it’d be helpful to know what exactly he was working with.
Gwen giggled as one of the butterflies flitted around her head, before flying back over to one of the men. "Hello!" She smiled brightly, sitting beside the woman who had come in behind her. "I'm Gwen! You have a big house. And lots of food. Can I have some? Also why am I here? Am I supposed to know you guys?" She spoke quickly, saying a lot in a very short amount of time.
