“Of course,” Arvil chuckled, shutting the door after they were both settled. Since they were married in the public eye, he wrapped an arm around her and pulled her close. “Who do you think I am?”

@Imperfect_Autumn group

“Well, I wasn’t expecting to have a driver take us to the airport. I thought we’d take a car and drive ourselves,” Daisy said with a shrug. “I guess I should expect this more often, huh?”

Arvil smirked at her, a little cockiness present in his features. “And much more,” he assured her smugly. “You’re married to Arvil Davis, Darling.”

Deleted user

“You’d better not” Arvil chuckled, though he didn’t snatch her hand like he usually did.

After a few minutes, they reached the airport.

“Here we are,” Arvil murmured as he grabbed two suitcases. “How much time do we have before we need to be seated, Daisy?”

@Imperfect_Autumn group

Daisy glanced at a clock on the wall before turning back to Arvil. “About half an hour. We got here a little early, which is good,” she said as she leaned against him. The action was both for comfort and for show, but she was definitely glad of the need for the show of affection.

Arvil nuzzled the side of her head, breathing her in. It would have made him feel better had this been real.

“It does take a while to get through security,” he agreed. “Come on, then. Let’s go.”

@Imperfect_Autumn group

Daisy hummed, wishing she could just be in his arms but knowing they didn’t have that luxury. Plus, they weren’t really married. They were faking it for the media.

“All right, I’m coming,” she said, trying to take her bag from him. “Let me pull that. It’s not that heavy.”

“Hey, I’ve got this,” Arvil said, not letting her take the suitcase from him. “It’s fine.”

With a smile in her direction, he turned to walk inside the airport. It was a miracle there was no paparazzi here… and a huge relief.

Arvil sighed. “You know I don’t mind carrying your bag. It’s really no problem.”

Arvil frowned down at her, taking note of her disappointment, but he didn’t do anything about it.

Soon, they had cleared through the security and were now finding their spots on the plane. He had gotten them first class tickets, because if they were flying, they needed to fly in comfort.

“You want the window seat?” he asked her as they tried to find their seats.

@Imperfect_Autumn group

Daisy glanced around wide-eyed. She had never flown first class, nor in her life. The best she had flown in was business class, but that wasn’t as good as first was. First class was…

“Woah…” she breathed before finally drawing her gaze back up to Arvil. “You bought us first class tickets? Arvil… C’mon, you know you didn’t have to.”

Deleted user

Arvil gave her a teasing wink. “Hey, gotta make my wife comfortable, no?”

He hated being uncomfortable during plane rides. It was bothersome and annoying, and he liked being comfortable. Besides, Daisy’s comfort mattered the most to him. First class was expensive, but he didn’t mind doing that for her.

Daisy shook her head, though a smile was playing on her lips. This man… He was going to be the death of her, wasn’t he?

“All right, all right… I’ll take the window seat, please,” she said as she glanced around.

Arvil hummed, satisfied with her decision. And with the smile on her face.

“Those are our seats,” Arvil said, stopping in front of a pair on the left. “Ladies first.”

[TIME SKIP: A COUPLE OF HOURS]

Arvil had rented out a nice resort for the two of them to stay at. He selected it for the activities. Boating was available, as well as pools and three beaches that he’d been told were never crowded. The resort kept the guest number to a minimum. And of course, it also kept privacy, something Arvil knew he and Daisy really needed.

As for their rooms, there was an enormous villa, along with plunge pools. When Arvil had thought about them, he had imagined being in there with Daisy, and never thought about that again. It was too much.

After they’d reached their destination, a driver had been waiting for them. Their resort was about twenty minutes away from the airport, which relieved Arvil. He really wanted to rest after the long plane ride.

Finally, they reached where they’d be staying, and Arvil moved to open the door.

“Here we are,” he murmured. “Ready, darling?”

@Imperfect_Autumn group

The whole plane ride, Daisy had been looking out the window or watching a show. When they landed, Arvil had a car waiting for them already… of course… It shouldn’t have come as a surprise, and this time it actually hadn’t. It seemed she was getting used to his over-the-top things.

And then they arrived at the place where they were staying, and Daisy realized that the photos hadn’t done it justice. She’d known, of course, where they were staying and what was included, but she hadn’t realized just how beautiful the place was.

“Wow,” she murmured as she looked out the window. And then Arvil was speaking, and she turned to him again. “Yes. Let’s go. I would kind of like to rest for a bit.”

“Are you hungry?” Arvil asked when they were finally inside their villa. It was big for just two people, but it was nice.

There were three rooms, and from what Arvil could see, they were spacious. Two rooms were on the bottom, so he believed the final was on the second floor. There was also a kitchen attached to the first floor. The plunge pool was supposed to be with the second floor, and truthfully, he didn’t know if he would ever use it.

He also didn’t know if they were sharing a room or not. He and Daisy hadn’t talked about that yet, and it was an awkward conversation. After all, their relationship was made out of lies.

@Imperfect_Autumn group

“Not particularly,” Daisy replied with a shrug. “So… Which room are we in? Or rooms… Are we sleeping separately?”

I’m not sure we should sleep together, anyway… We might lose track of boundaries…

Deleted user

“There are three rooms, so pick whichever one you like,” Arvil told her, purposefully avoiding answering her last question. They were sleeping separately. “I think it would be better if both of us stayed on the same floor.”

Deleted user

Arvil nodded before they began to walk to the first room. Honestly, he didn’t mind whichever room he got. He didn’t really care.

The first room had a king sized bed with white sheets and a dark blue comforter. The pillows were also of the same dark blue cover. There was another door, which Arvil believed to be leading to the bathroom.

There was a window on wall in front of the bed, and the curtains were drawn, so light spilled into the room. A long, brown desk rested on the left side of the bed with a lamp sitting on it. The wall on the back of the bed was brown, each block of a different shade.

@Imperfect_Autumn group

Daisy glanced around the room, noticing the large bed and dim colors. She shook her head a little, wondering if the other room was better. Maybe it would have a smaller bed, too.

“I’d like to look at the other room before choosing, I think,” she mused, looking up at Arvil.

Deleted user

Arvil grinned at her, chuckling softly.

“Of course,” he hummed. “Let’s go, then. See if the other room is more to your liking.”

@Imperfect_Autumn group

Daisy smiled softly at Arvil’s laugh, and she followed him out of the room. They made their way to the other one, stopping in the doorway to survey it.

This room was a bit smaller, fairly simple, and had a smaller bed, too. This one was a queen-sized bed, rather than the giant king-sized of the other room. The walls were a soft white, contrasting with the black bed frame and dresser. Across from the dresser was a door, and she assumed it led to the bathroom.

“This room actually seems nicer than the last one,” Daisy mused quietly to herself as she took a step further in. “Do you mind if I take this room?”

Deleted user

“I don’t mind,” Arvil said, leaning against the doorframe. “If this is to your liking, you should take it.”

Like he mentioned before, he didn’t care which room he ended up in. The first room was a bit spacious, but he would make do with that. They would spend one week in here, and then another in Paris before finally returning to New York.

@Imperfect_Autumn group

Daisy nodded a bit, glancing around the room one last time. When she turned back to Arvil, she gave him a small smile and shrugged.

“Then I guess I’ll be taking this one. Where did you set my things?” she asked, taking a step closer to him.

Deleted user

Arvil, though he noticed Daisy getting closer to him, turned back, pointing to the living room with his thumb.

"I set your suitcase near the door," he answered calmly. "And mine, too. I do suggest we don't unpack, though, because we'll be leaving next week, and it's a hassle to pack again. But that's just me being lazy."
