What I currently have. Feel free to add if I am missing anything
This is all just a rough outline

Positions-

The Dragonkin Guide - They will be guiding you through the wastes. You are trusting your lives to them in order to get through the wastes
Keep their trust, and you just might get through alive
CLOSED; I have a Dragonkin I would like to use for this

Ranger - Often a ranged unit. The Ranger prefers using their bow and arrow (thought a crossbow will work fine as well), keeping their distance. They are often excellent trackers, following game trails or even just runner trails, such as an escapee, etc..
Rangers are usually loners, traversing the wilderness, though some may be accompanied by loyal animal/beast companions

Warrior - Trained men and women, excel in close-quarters combat. They general prefer sword and shield weapons, though warriors are often trained in all sorts of weaponry.

Healer/Priest(ess) - Generally gentle figures whom help the sick and wounded. They are often worshippers of the Merciful Goddess, whom in return for their offerings, has supposedly blessed these individuals with spells of light and healing

Dragon Riders - People who have been chosen by dragons. Often the riders are taken at the young age of 13 to the Brooding Stables, where dragonelles are kept that are heavy with clutches. Often, and carefully, the young riders are let into a large cavern where they will find a dragonelle with her clutch, often with that dragonelle's rider nearby. These youngsters would then wait for the eggs to hatch. Once the eggs have hatched, the dragon chicks would crawl forward, in turn, choosing one of the attending soon-to-be riders.
Once the dragon chick has chosen its rider, the bonding between dragon and rider begins.
The new Dragon Riders attend a rigorous training session with other new riders. As they grow older, riders gain a telepathic link with their dragon. This allows them to communicate with each other, and allowing the rider to give orders to their dragon, even from a distance. Though at first, the distance is limited, but as dragon and rider get older, the communication distance will grow as well.

Ok, what if a person wants to be two things, like a dragon rider that's also a ranger?

It could work that way as well
Like I said, the stuff above is just guidelines, and if someone has a different position they have an idea for, they are more than welcome to toss in their ideas

so is there no magic except from the main elements?

Magic is limited

Though depending on the dragon one is paired with, it may affect their magical abilities. It would most likely be a weak version compared to their dragons

For Example; If a rider's dragon is a Corrosive Dragon. The rider would perhaps be able to summon a corrosive acid, or flame, etc.

Could I potentially rp a dragon rider who’s a healer? And if not, just a plain old healer is fine.

Personality: Kind, helpful, aggressive if needed, angry if friends get hurt, smart, clever. Likes working alone unless he knows them well and bookworm

Abilities: Breaths out chaos flames and can turn into chaos thundercloud/lightning.

Hm…seems the attention for this thread has died out, or people are quite busy as I have been

Though I may take my idea and move it elsewhere if I'm feeling ambitious, that or save it for perhaps another time

I'm interested but I want be very active until September because Uni is starting and I'm a first year so idk

Species: Forest Dragon/Fenn (feathered dragon)
Gender: Female
Powers/Abilities: She has a connection to nature, as well as a natural ability to feel the energy around her and see a creature's aura. She has only learned how to heal so far, but she may accidentally make flowers and plants grow if her emotions build up too much.
Weakness: Since her magic revolves around living energy, she'll become physically weak if she uses it too much at once or for too long; she'd need to rest and regain any energy she lost healing or shielding someone. She also can't handle too-high temperatures; fenn can regulate their body temperature, but as a younger dragon, she'd most likely be slowed down in a hot environment unless kept cool and hydrated.
Rider:
Other Info: Quiet and easily frightened, she tends to stay away from strange places and people when she isn't with someone she trusts. She doesn't like feeling useless and will help where she can if she is needed. She doesn't trust very easily but can become clingy and protective of friends.
Appearance: Small in size, emerald green eyes with faint red rings around the irises, and two small white horns atop her head. Soft brown fur and feathers, a crest of feathers shaded green, green fur running from her neck to the end of her tail, and feathered wings shaded lighter green at the tips. She keeps a red crystal on a silver string around her neck.
