"I think it's pretty warranted to be protective over you. I mean, you're precious." Tolly pecked him on the cheek. "Who wouldn't want to keep you safe?"

He blushed and laughed "I know how to defend myself, thank you." He walked over to a patch of dark green bushes "but I appreciate being protected by someone besides my family." He smiled shyly

Tolly brightened, following him to the patch and filling his basket. "I'm glad! And… um… I know it can be a little strange for me to talk about keeping you safe and stuff so I want you to know that it's not because I think you're weak or anything. I just… I dunno, I wanna make sure you're provided for. It's a wolf thing."

He glanced over and gently took his hand "I know. I want to protect and provide for you too." He said softly, "it's not just a wolf thing, it's a love thing."

Tolly smiled and raised Cas' hand to his mouth, kissing their joined fingers. "I love you too. I… I'm really glad you decided to give me a chance."

He smiled "me too," he stood, keeping their hands together as he tugged tolly into a walk

Tolly followed easily, smiling down at their hands every few seconds. "I love you."

"I love you too," cas replied, gazing up into Tollys eyes. After a bit of walking, cas pulled away to gather some herbs tangled with a thorn bush

Tolly sighed mournfully when Cas pulled away, but he didn't protest. Instead, he wandered to a patch of little bkue flowers and started to fill his basket. "So, when was the last time you visited?"

"hm? Oh a few months ago before a test. I visit a lot." He pulled his hand away sharply when a thorn scaped the back of it, leaving a bit of blood

Tolly frowned, gently grabbing his hand to look at the cut. It wasn't that bad, nothing a band-aid couldn't fix, but Tolly still looked concerned. "Shit, are you okay!?"

Cas nodded and bend down to grab a few berries from.his basket "yeah, happens all the time." He crushed a few of the berries in his hand and spread the juice onto his cut. "Farra berries, they act as a seal and disinfectant."

Tolly was still cradling Cas' hand in his. "Are you sure? I really hate seeing you hurt, even if it's something small like this."

He smiled softly and nodded "I'm sure." He licked the residue from the berries off his hand "makes a great snack too,"

Tolly's concern vanished and he laughed. "Really!? Can I try some?" He raised Cas' finger's to his mouth, looking at him expectantly.

Blush flushed the Color of the berries "uh..uhm..sure? There's more in the basket if you want…" He trailed off in a sputtering mess

Tolly smiled and wrapped his lips around Cas' fingers, lapping up the juice with a teasing sparkle in his eye. "These are delicious!"

Cas simpered slightly and nodded slightly. "M…mo….more..I..in …basket…" He whispered softly

Tolly gave Cas' fingers one last lick before he pulled away and reached into the basket for a handful of berries. "Thanks, babe!"

It took everything in his system to not fall on the floor and curled up in blushing red mess. He eventually focused back on tolly and the forest around them after the tingling feeling in his hand had subsided "we'll have to go into the deeper part of the forest tomorrow." He said, grabbing his basket

Tolly munched happily on his berries, slinging an arm across Cas' shoulders as they walked. "Sounds fun! Will we get to eat more berries?"

Cas nodded "probably, I'm gonna have to hide some from you aren't I?" He teased, leaning into tolly as they walked

Tolly laughed and pecked him on the cheek. "Definitely! These are delicious." He smirked. "Of course, they taste better when I eat them out of your hands."

Cas blushed and burried his head in tolly's shoulder "you mean off my hand?" He laughed softly and glanced up at him

Tolly laughed along with him, ruffling his hair playfully. "Maybe~"

Cas smiled "that's a yes." He glanced up as they neared the house "ready for dinner?"

Tolly nodded enthusiastically. "Oh yeah! I dunno what your mom was cooking but it smelled delicious."

He nodded "I think she made her famouse stew with beef chunks and herbs. He climbed the porch stairs and pulled open the door. He hugged his father as he rounded the corner from the living room and introduced him to Tolly "dad this is Tolly, tolly this is my dad, Lucien,"

Tolly followed Cas inside, pausing in front of Lucien. He smiled and held out a hand for him to shake. "It's a pleasure, sir."

Lucien glared at Tolly's hand "We don't shake hands in this house," he said, pulling tolly into a hug. "Anyone who manages to deal with my son deserves more than a hand shake. He winked at cas and laughed "welcome tolly, I see you've found the Farra berries?" He asked, his voice baritoned yet gentle and kind.
