Myrah moved quickly to Ferris's side, "Ferris? Are you okay?"

"Sure." she moaned and rolled on her side "that freaking hurt."

"Does it always do that?" Myrah asked worriedly.

She shook her head slightly and squeezed her eyes shut "not really, not this severe anyways." She managed to say through gritted teeth.

"Still, why was it so severe?" Myrah asked, "Did you over use your ability?"

She shuddered violently "I…I'm not sure…." She arched her back in pain before relaxing

Myrah sat down next to Ferris, "Is there anything I can do to help?"

Ferris stayed still, unresponsive. Her eyelids twitching in an attempt to open them.

"Fuck," Myrah muttered, "Ferris? Ferris are you okay?"

The space around them find with small crystals, a black and purple translucent rock, jutting out rom the earth. Ferris dug her hands into the ground for stability but remained unmoving or unwaking from her temporary coma

Myrah grabbed her sketch pad and began to quickly jot something down. She brought it to life to produce a bucket filled with ice water before pouring it on top of Ferris, "Please wake up."

Ferris shot up with a rough cough and gasp for air. Her eyes snapped open, flickering between purple and brown. "wh- what happened?" she asked, voice raspy and raw

"You passed out," Myrah responded making the bucket disappear, "I was wondering the same."

SHe sat up shakily and glanced around at the crystals. She waved her hand to make them disapear. Resting her head between her legs to silence the ringing, she sighed heavily. "Did I hurt you?"

"No," Myrah shook her head, "You just started using your abilities on your own. Our you sure your fine?"

SHe glanced up, seeming not to believe Myrah's words until she saw for herself that no harm was done to the one she'd grown to love. with a sigh of relife at seeing her unharmed, ferris nodded "Drained but I'll be okay."

"Is there anything I can do to help?" Myrah looked at Ferris.

She looked at her inquizitively before shaaking her head and standing on wobbly legs "theres nothing anone can do but kill me."

"Has it always been like this?" Myrah asked before standing up to help Ferris.

"what? People killing those with abilities over a misunderstanding standing? Yeah it's always been that way. Or me having spells? Yeah that too but that's the worst one." She leaned into Myrah for support

Myrah let out a slight laugh, “No. Have you always experienced this kind of backlash after using your powers.”

She shook her head "no not usually. This is new."

"That's strange," Myrah frowned concerningly, "Any idea why?"

She shrugged "exertion of abilities, maturity, you." She glanced up at Myrah "I've never had someone watch me. The first rule is that no is to know of your abilities. Even if they themselves have them."

"I know," Myrah let out a sigh, "But I've always had my sibling to look over me with my power. So I'm used to others seeing my powers."

He smiled softly "But I haven't. I've never exposed my abilities to anyone. Never trusted anyone to let anyone see."

Myrah smiled back at Ferris, "Well, now you do. But that shouldn't affect how your abilities work."

She shrugged "it's different for everyone." She sat down next to her notebook and flipped to a section called "Wonderland"

Myrah watched Ferris, she was still incredibly concerned, but what could she do?

She glanced up at Myrah "i'll be okay, don't worry about me princess." She send reasuringly and started to write what had happened down in her book
