Lucifer glanced down at him as he tensed up, his eyebrows still raised in the slightest. "Why so tense, Scip? Try and relax a little, eh?"

Scipio reluctantly relaxed his muscles and started trembling, as he'd expected. He kept his face hidden for now.

Lucifer set his head down but kept it tilted towards him as he watched the other tremble. He rubbed slow circles into his shoulders and sighed softly.

After a couple minutes of this, Scipio gradually started to relax into Lucifer's touch. He exhaled with his breath wavering a bit, staying very close to Lucifer.

Lucifer relaxed too, smiling as he watched the human breathe and relax. Humans were such small, simple creatures. He liked them quite a lot. Especially Scipio.

Scipio mumbled something unintelligible under his breath, holding a bit tighter to Lucifer. He kept his eyes closed for now.

Lucifer tilted his head closer and grinned. "What was that, Scip? I couldn't hear you." He moved the other closer to his head.

"N-Nothing…" Scipio replied quietly, his face flushing a bit. "Just… um… thanks. For everything."

Lucifer grunted faintly but smiled back. “You’re welcome, love. You thank yourself. You were the Human that stuck out over all the rest.”

"For what? I just waltzed in here, basically insulted you immediately, and you decided you liked me."

“Yeah, a lot of Humans have had respect for me. Not many have become servants. Not many at all had come this close to me.”

"Oh? Were there others like me?" Scipio asked curiously.

“Well, let me rephrase that. Many Humans have rolled up here threatening me and insulting me, and none actually got so close as to sleep with me.”

"Ah… well, I do love being the first to do things. It makes me feel important." Scipio hugged Lucifer a bit tighter, grinning.

Lucifer chuckled and sighed, tilting his head up a little. “So your birthday’s in about two days. Are you excited?”

"I mean, I guess. It's hard to be excited because I don't know what to expect. I've never even gotten a birthday present before."

“Well you can expect eighteen years worth of presents, how about that?” Lucifer quizzed, grinning.

"That's… that's a lot of presents…" Scipio mumbled. "What am I gonna do with all that?"

“I dunno, Scip. But you’re gonna love it, I bet,” He tried to assure. Lucifer wasn’t really the greatest at assuring people.

"Probably. What time is it?" Scipio relaxed a bit more, toying with his own hair.

Scipio was just barely waking up by the time Lucifer had awoken. He was very slow and sleepy, clearly, and his mind hadn't quite woken up yet.
