Ferran pondered for a moment. "Do you know anyone who could speed up time?"

Alice smirked. "How would that help?"

"I was thinking maybe if we got to the end of the story we could get out." Ferran gestured. "It makes sense to me."

"I don't think it works that way, but I can't come up with anything better… where do we start?"

"We need to find someone who can make time go faster." Ferran paused. "Of course we don't know when the story ends, we could be really old by then." He thought for a moment. "Another option is to go back to the beginning, but I don't think that would work…maybe just not doing anything? Kind of like rebelling."

"Shh!" Alice said suddenly. "Something's happening." Ferran watched as she stood stock-still, listening to something only she could hear. The blood drained from her face. "No…" She turned to him, eyes frantic. "We need to get out as soon as possible. The author of this comic quit… what if we die once he stops writing?"

Ferran's eyes went wide. "Oh…no…" He thought for a moment. "I think I know someone who could help us find a time controller."

"Follow me." Ferran led her to a house a few blocks away. He trudged up the front steps and knocked on the door. He turned. "If anyone knows someone who can help us, it's Livia."

Alice took a deep breath. "All right… I trust you."

The door opened slightly. "Who is it?" Asked a deep female voice. "It's me, Ferran." There was the sound of locks being unlatched and some muttering. The door swung open. "Ferran! Good to see you." She glanced over his shoulder. "Who's that?" Ferran smiled. "A friend." He turned and gestured to Alice. "Come on."

(Can you make a profile for Livia? Sorry, it just helps if I can picture the character and get a feel for their personality.)
Alice followed Ferran into the house.

Livia led them to a small living room. She gestured to two chairs. "Have a seat."

Alice sat. "We need your help."

Livia raised an eyebrow. "Really!" Ferran nodded. "Do you know anybody who can alter time?" Livia sighed. "Why?"

"It's hard to explain, but our lives might depend on it."

Livia thought for a moment. "Well…I do know one person. They live on the other side of town though."

Alice closed her eyes and exhaled, letting out a breath she didn't realize she was holding. Then she stood up, "We should be going now."

Livia showed them to the door. Ferran paused. "Thanks Liv." She smiled. "Take care, Ferran." And with that she closed the door. Ferran caught up to Alice. "So…what's the plan?"

"Well, we have to find him and hope he helps us. If he doesn't…" she shivered. "Let's just hope he will."

Ferran nodded. "I could be there and back before the sun sets but you wouldn't be able to keep up with me."

"I'd rather be there. Is there some way you could take me with you…?"

"Well…uh…" Ferran cleared his throat. "I…could carry you…" He blushed.
