The there basically is no agreement on the generation gap years. Some would say 2000 is the first year of Gen Z, other say 2005. There are even those who say 1995.

Personally I use 2000 because usually the description of a millennial says they are called that because they will be able to grow up and see the turn of the century during some point of their childhood/early teen years. If that's the case 2000 is the start of the time of Gen Z because you can't grow up and see the turn of the century, it already happened.

I'd say 2001+ is Gen Z, since Millenial implies that they lived through the nineties or at the very least 2000.
I was 2004, so I'm Gen Z.
