(okey dokey then) Ben suddenly started to smile. "Oh Sammy, what a predicament you've found yourself in this time." Sam seemed defensive all of a sudden, and runes began to crackle to life along his body.
"Hello Cassiel."
(okey dokey then) Ben suddenly started to smile. "Oh Sammy, what a predicament you've found yourself in this time." Sam seemed defensive all of a sudden, and runes began to crackle to life along his body.
"Hello Cassiel."
Lata stared at the boy standing beside her. "What the heck is going on?"
"You brought the damn second in command of one of my biggest enemies here," Sam hissed, getting to his feet. Ben continued to smile at Sam, almost creepily.
"Sammy, Sammy, Sammy," Ben tutted. "You've broken quite a few rules lately, haven't you?"
Lucy’s eyes widened in shock and she quickly took a step away from ‘Ben’, grabbing Lata by the arm and tugging her back as well.
Ben turned to Lucy. "Oh, you have nothing to fear. Samandriel on the other hand, well, he should be running for his life right about now."
"You're nothing but a lesser god, Cassiel. You have no way to harm me," Sam growled. Ben grinned at him.
"Oh, but we both know you aren't exactly at full power, don't we?"
Lata's eyes widened. He wasn't going to make Sam leave, was he? And what did he mean full power?
"I didn't ask to land here Cassiel. You of all creatures should know that. After what Inspa and her lackeys did to me I've tried my best to stay out of everyone's way."
Lucy’s jaw clenched, the words making her want to shudder. He was right, Sam didn’t seem to be himself completely.
Lata simply stood next to Lucy, surprised and confused.
Ben rolled his eyes. "Why do you think I'm here? I hate them as much as the next person, and you've gotten yourself into such a disaster that even Damascus wants you back. Not that I want to help you after what you did to Balthazar."
Lucy frowned lightly as she listened, still tense. What could Sam have done to make them seem to hate him so much?
"How do I know you aren't lying?" Sam asked, eyes narrowed in suspicion. Ben sighed.
"Because I would have turned you into a cracked statue by now if I was. But, if it makes you feel any better." Ben snapped his fingers, and in a flurry of feathers he was as tall as Sam, if not taller. And he certainly didn't look human. His face was a mask, and wooden horns curled from behind it. His chest was made of wood that had runes similar to the ones on Sam's skin, with the first rune being an upside-down version of the one below Sam's eye. His body was snake-like, and his arms had become wings. (here's his design in case you wanna see it lol https://drive.google.com/file/d/1sQNguqZ1HmqWD-HaElVQR2PHVtAELzKL/view?usp=sharing)
"Holy crap…" Lata whispered under her breath. What have I done…?
(Aye that’s really cool looking)
Lucy’s eyes widened as she stared up at the creature. “Holy shit..” she muttered, her grip on Lata tightening.
(thanks I just finished his design yesterday lol) "There's nothing holy about me, though I have been mentioned in several religions," the monster said
Lucy almost wanted to laugh, despite the terrible situation. The creature took things just as literally as Sam tended to.
"Lucy, you're starting to cut off circulation in my arm…" she whispered.
"So, are you going to sit there terrifying my roommates, or do you have any real business here?" Sam asked. Cassiel curled in on himself, folding his wings so as not to bump into anyone.
"I have a gift for you. Something that will aid you in troubles to come. I can give you the first piece to the puzzle now, but you must solve it on your own," Cassiel said
Lucy quickly loosened her hold on Lata, giving a hushed apology.
Orion walks in the room to see what the fuss is all about. Stilling, he d r o p s h i s t e a . Everything stills, enough so that they can hear the faint rustle of Cassiels wings. If there is one rule, one rule at all in this household, it's that you. Do. Not. Make. Orion. Spill. His. TEA! Cassiel gets the feeling that he may have just broken some sort of sacred boundary. When Orion finally steps forward, his footstep echoes like thunder, and his voice has the same low quality. His ears are straight forward, and his tail is lashing, his claws are sliding in and out of his sheaths. Cassiel isn't sure he has ever seen a creature such as this. Voice deadly low, Orion speaks, a single word with the weight of a world behind it. "Explain."
(A.K.A. This was the moment when Cassiel realized, He f*cked up…)
(Oh no, the tea)
(i'M WHEEZING, THIS IS PERFECT HAHAHA)
(I sNO R TED h ELP) Cassiel somehow managed to look irritated despite his lack of a proper face. "You have terrible taste in acquaintances," he muttered
(Lata: F YOU TOO, CASSIEL.)
(yeah no Cas is done with everything lmao)
(This is wild, f*ck him up Orion lmao)
Orion, sweet, cute, Orion. Looking at the creature in front of him, Orion gives him a feral smile. Then, faster than even the god beings can follow, Orion decks Cassiel. Once again, he demands. "Explain."
Cas shook the punch off, feathers rustling indignantly. "You insolent mortals, you're lucky I swore to protect your kind," Cassiel hissed. "I'm here to help Samandriel get out of this dimension and back to his former glory. Unlike you imbeciles, he has some kind of worth to the men upstairs."
Lata really wanted to give him a rude hand gesture.
“You have got to be f*cking kidding me,” Lucy muttered to herself. At the moment, she didn’t know what was worse, the sting in her neck or the voice of this creature.
