She nodded, watching him leave as one of her classmates came up to her, bringing her to the washroom to clean the mascara off her face.

Luca got out of the principal's office about an hour later, feeling ashamed but at the same time a bit satisfied with what he did. He quickly walked through the corridors to the classroom. Opening the classroom door, he gave the teacher an apologetic look and quietly sat down on his seat. He saw Lili a couple of seats away and tried to catch her gaze.

Opening the classroom door, he gave the teacher an apologetic look and quietly sat down on his seat. He saw Lili a couple of seats away and tried to catch her gaze.

Lili flipped through her notebook before she looked up, seeing Luca as he walked into the room, her plush, glossy bottom lip slipping between her pearly whites as she returned her gaze to her papers, hoping he'd look to her again. She was very happy to see him which meant he hadn't gotten suspended, but she was also slightly mad because he made her cry like a baby. Which she couldn't really pin on him, she was just a softie.

Luca smiled at Lili when she looked to him, a slightly sad, apologetic smile. He really hoped she wasn't angry with him. He hated it when she was that. A month ago or so, Luca had developed a small crush on his best friend. He had never told her that, off course, cause he knew that she probably didn't feel the same. But still… when he saw her biting her lip like that… the butterflies in his stomach just couldn't help but to come alive, slap him with their wings, and say to him: Tell her, you idiot!

She couldn't help but smile back, looking back down at her papers before ruffling through her bag which was beside her, pulling out her glasses when the teacher put something up on the board and also ripping a paper from her notebook, beginning to write something on it, looking up at him from time to time.

She folded it up, writing Luca's name on the front of the tiny, squared up piece of paper.

It read:

So, how much detention time do you have to serve? I hope it doesn't interfere with our movie plans tonight. I've been wanting to watch Lord of the Rings for the 30th time.

Luca read the note as he got it. For a moment, he wanted to tell her the truth. That he probably wouldn't be able to make it tonight. But he knew that she would be disappointed. So, he lied. Luca was surpirsed with how easy the lie came.

Don't worry, I'll make it in time :)

Ah, well. He would just have to find a way to sneak out of detention. He had done it before, this was not the first time that he was in trouble. It actually happened quite a lot, and most of the time it had to do with some guy saying something about Lili. She didn't know about that, though. This was probably the first time that she had actually seen it happen.

She smiled at the girl who passed the note back to her, her slim, delicate fingers unfolding the note before her piercing blue eyes scanned over the words, smiling. Her eyes lit up when she did this, the iris' catching the bright, white lights of the classroom. She stuffed the note in her bag before returning to her work, slipping on her glasses before putting the faux wood case on the side of her desk.

Soon the bell rang and she stood up, still packing up her things and slipping her glasses off and closing the case, the case making a loud clap noise that she jumped at slightly before shoving that in her bag as well as her books and pencil case.

"Hey." Luca walked up to her. "Sorry. We okay? I just need to make sure."

“Hey. Yes, of course” she replied, smiling up at him before biting her lip. She’d had a crush on him for a while now but she would never tell him. She was planning on letting it pass, but it was persistent for at least a year now. She didn’t think it would end up going away, but she didn’t want to mess up the friendship either.

“So, what’s our next class?” She asked, not knowing it was already home time.

"Oh, we have chemistry and then we have math and after that, a double lesson in physics," Luca laughed, joking. "No, school is over."

Her mouth dropped into a frown but soon picked up into a smile, giving him a light, playful punch in the arm before picking up her stuff, smiling reluctantly. "Well, I guess I'll walk you to detention?" she asked, looking up at him again as she spoke.

"Nope. Not necessary." Luca forced a smile, so that she wouldn't see that he was lying."I managed to have them place my detention on thursday instead. Our movie marathon is saved."

Her eyes lit up, her smile growing as he spoke. "Yay!" she squealed, wrapping her arms around his neck and hugging him for a second before letting go. She got excited very easily, but that was one of the cutest things about her. "So! Should we order a pizza? My mom and dad are gone out a business trip, as you know, and they left me some cash. They obviously wouldn't mind you over" she suggested, biting her lip softly out of excitement.

"I say we order both pizza and sushi. I have a craving for sushi today, but on the other hand no movie night is complete without pizza." Luca smiled. His guilt about lying to her disappeared when he saw her this happy. "Are we heading straight to your place, then?" He said as he picked up his backpack from the floor and threw it up on one shoulder.

She smiled before beginning to walk out the door, pulling her keys out of her pocket. "Yup, unless you wanna grab junk food first? Chips, candy, other shit like that?" she asked, even if she knew there was already stuff at the house.

"Of course we need shit like that." Luca laughed and headed out the door. "I need bacon chips. Let's go shopping for junk food!"

She laughed, following close behind. "We've gotta go to our lockers first!" she called out before jumping onto his back to try and slow him down, their lockers already being close to the class they were just in.

"Woah!" Luca stumbled and lost his balance for a second, but quickly regained it. "Careful, we don't want me with a broken back in the hospital tonight!" He joked, laughing.

She placed her hands on her hips after opening her locker, their lockers only being one away from each other. “Are you calling me fat, Mr?” She asked in a mock offended tone.

Luca laughed again. "Definetly not. I'm saying that I am weak." Not that he was, at all.

"I'd very much like to deny that statement," she replied, pinching his biceps before slinging her backpack over her shoulder and closing her locker, throwing her keys in the air and catching them, never breaking eye contact with him as she did so.

"I'd actually like to deny that too." Luca flexed his muscles and laughed before closing the locker and putting the key in the pocket of his jeans. "Shall we?"
