Yay! That’s so exiting. No pressure intended though, I understand making those kinds of things can be hard work and take a lot of effort and time

@ZoeVictoria

Hey there,@andrew (Our Supreme Lord and Overseer). I don’t know if a i’ve brought this up before, but are you planning on adding a mass edit/delete function? that’s the only thing keeping this site perfect for me.

@Mercury Beta Tester

Sorry, how do I find the exact forum comments I made? In the data vault it only shows the forums I commented in, but I'd have to go through all the pages to find my comments. I looked on 'Recent activity' on my profile but it just came up with:

There are no posts here yet!
You can follow other worldbuilders from their profiles. Whenever a user you follow shares one of their public pages, it will appear here for you to comment on!

I've been absent for over a year so the website design has changed quite a bit for me.

@Yamatsu

Is there a way to have a page-count feature for Documents? I'm using it as a way of being able to reference pages while working on coursework but I don't want to have to open a Word document and paste everything to get an accurate page-count.

@Morosis group

Hello there!
Is there a way to delete old discussions you started? If so, how? I started some discussions years ago which are now collecting dust which I would feel happy about just deleting haha

Thank you.

@VoidResistance group

I think I already suggested this sometime before, but for characters (and some other pages like items, floras, foods and such, rather "small" things), to have a picture more alike to a profile/file picture instead of a header. Most character pictures probably aren't of low height and very broad. If it's a picture I upload that's akin to a portrait, it ends up just showing one low and broad part of the characters face, like the nose and cheeks or the eyes and some hair on the sides. Maybe make this an option to choose between header or normal picture for page types.
Random image from google as an example for what I mean: https://curtainhasfallen.files.wordpress.com/2014/03/character-file-maria.jpg

@redwood eco

I think it would be a cool feature to be able to mark all forums you're following as read. Kinda like you can with notifications. And maybe there be a separate section from all the unread forums that shows only threads you're following. I just think it may be useful for people who want to clear notifications, but not go through 80 forums.

I hope that makes sense.

I think it would be helpful to add a page type called ethnicities. I have several different kinds of people in development right now, but I keep running into the issue of what page they belong on. They don't really fit with the Groups page, because groups are like organizations, and what I'm looking for doesn't exactly fit as an organization. But at the same time, I don't want to list them as a new race, because they aren't a different race at all. They just live in a very different place and have different cultures as the other people in their race. The only thing that I can think of that might fit is the word ethnicity. Like the people who live in a mountain country in the north would have a very different culture than people who live in a desert country, or a jungle one, but they are all humans, so they don't fit as different race. Does that make sense? Sorry this is so long.

@andrew health_and_safety flash_onAdmin

@RamblingBirdNerd I can definitely see the use in ethnicities and see it requested occasionally, so it's on the list of pages to eventually add. It needs fleshing out all the categories/fields so any other info you'd like to provide on how you'd use the page would be helpful, but I also try to prioritize pages based on how many requests they get, so I'm not sure when it'll be available (as they sometimes take a while to create).

I appreciate the suggestion and will take it as feedback! Sorry about the inconvenience; it's exciting to see how people use the site explode and need more and more functionality, and I'm looking forward to constantly making things better for everyone. :)

@NathanU

Hey, so, I've already suggested this one through the Help Center, but Imma put it here for others to see

How about making it so that Buildings can also be linked in Scene pages along with Locations?

@RamblingBirdNerd. I so agree. I have the same issue with race/ethnicities. I do use the groups page to link them by ethnies, but its not as complete as i would like. I would love to be able to create a distinct ethny or even sub-species in a same race. I have a complexe, yet isolated race that function by tribes and clans, even if they are the same species, and share the same basic set of laws and religion, they do have different dialects, physical apparences and traditions. I dont really see the point of creating a different race by clan.

Using the '' Groups '' option right is the best right now to do it, however it cannot link with pages for traditions, towns, countries, governments, landmarks, languages and such. I have created some new categories for my own purpuses, such as distinct physical trait, tradition, ressources and trades/economics advantages, but it remains a bit on the light side.

I just had an idea on a way to improve how pictures are handled. Instead having each page have its own separate image gallery, just have one central image gallery for each user, kind of like how timelines and documents are handled. Then, you know how on Facebook you can tag peoples' faces in photos? Add something like that (not restricted to faces, of course) so that users can tag pages directly on the image, so that when you mouse over it (or tap it on mobile), the tagged pages appear and are able to be clicked on. Any images a page is "tagged" in would appear in that page's "image gallery," kind of like how on Facebook there's a "photos you're tagged in" folder on your page. For instance, I have a picture of a group of characters, which I would like to be visible in all four of their galleries. However, I don't want to upload it four times. So, being able to just upload it once and then tag all four characters would be very helpful.

Of course, another (probably more popular) use for this would be the ability to make interactive maps: simply upload a picture of a map you'd like to use, then tag the locations, countries, towns, landmarks, buildings, etc. pages you'd like, and boom, you have your map. Same exact system and site location, but different use. It'd be a lot simpler than trying to code an entire in-site map-making tool, I would think.

Anyway, thank you for all you do, andrew (Our Supreme Lord and Overseer)! You're great!

Addendum:

Please let us arrange the pictures however we want

Please

I don't wanna keep having to delete and reupload

@Fraust

Not sure whether this has been suggested before, but it would be great to have a way to delete private message threads
I get a lot of random "hi" pms or similar trivial message from very new users, and I respond once and then we never interact again
And now there's a bunch of dead, useless threads in my inbox that I really don't want ^^;

@croccin-champagne

god i would love that. i have so many old rp threads and chats from back in the beginning of my time on the site that are dead. also, a way to delete them without opening them would be great, so i can avoid the mortifying ordeal of having to look at things my old self said

@K14N language

Just a few quick slices of life-type Ideas.

-Adding a Caption feature to the gallery to describe photos.
-^^ Like stated above, a way to delete private PMS and RP threads.
-An upload feature to forums that allows easier forum uploads of photos.
-Less of a limit on the description in the profile? (Im pretty sure Im the only one that has run into this.)
-Maybe a way to like a forum post?

Thats all that Ive thought of so far, but Ive had an account here for almost 3 years, and Im so happy to be here! Ill definitely keep using the site! I hope you guys can land a spot as a mobile app instead of just a website!
