Sousha was messing with his feets as he watched a few monkeys amble around on the screen. His smile was big and happy as he giggled at their antics, but he looked back when he heard Eclipse come out. He hastily let go of his feets and acted like he wasn't just giggling at monkeys.
"We're going now?"
Eclipse smiled at the other, Again…. how the heck is he that cute??? he thought, "I'm ready if you are" he said softly, tying his shoe then standing. Carefully he slipped over to the door and opened it. "Ready?"
Sousha slipped on his shoes and looked up at him with a nod, trotting over after him. "Yep. Just lead the way, Eclipse," He said brightly to his new friend, smiling up at him like the big cutie he was.
Eclipse nodded, leading him out the door and down the hall. Smiling softly to a patrol of the hallway, he slipped down to the main lobby and waved to Mark, then slipped outside, keeping Soush close to him as they walked out onto the street, pulling his hood up as they went.
Once they were outside, Sousha took Eclipse's arm as to not lose him in the crowd even here. They walked for a while, eventually getting to the bright streets of NY again to a park and library. Sousha leaned against his companion and tried his best not to hurt his neck more by looking around.
Eclipse kept him close as they walked, heading into the park, right across from the library. "Wanna go see the duck pond?" he asked, slipping along the forest path, his voice quiet as the crowds dispersed some. Sighing softly he smiled, looking around the leafy green. It was nothing like where he'd been born, but it was lovely all the same.
"Oh, yes please," He whispered back, following him as they walked into the shady path. He sighed as the sun laid off his dark hair, and he rose a hand to fluff it out a little. "Is it always super busy in this city? Everyone has places to be." He seemed to enjoy the hustle and bustle of it all, for he was still smiling.
Eclipse nodded, "That's the way it goes." He said softly, smiling since the other was enjoying himself, though he personally preferred the quieter spots. A little further down the path and they passed a young woman, though Eclipse tensed as he saw her, seeing the half covered mark on her neck. Shit… don't recognize me… he thought silently, willing her not to look up.
Sousha felt Eclipse tense up and followed suit, shutting his mouth and looking really nervous. He didn't like the tenseness, the silence, anything. He could only hope he wasn't going to get hurt or blown up or something or other.
Eclipse felt the other tense up and forced himself to relax, though it didn't help much as the woman looked up at him, narrowing her eyes as she studied him. Eclipse mentally cursed, turning down another path and keeping Sousha close, trying to relax for the other's ake.
Sousha jogged after Eclipse when he sped up and walked down another path, his cheeks reddening as he felt the gaze of someone else on him.
"What's going on?" He asked with a squeak up at the other.
Eclipse hummed softly, "It's nothing, you don't need to worry" he said softly, giving him a smile. The smile was fake, though he'd done it so many times before now, that it didn't matter.
Sousha gave a soft whine at the way he smiled, still not liking the situation at hand. He still felt like he was being watched and that Eclipse wasn't quite telling the truth.
Eclipse was internally panicking as he walked, I can't let Sousha get hurt…. he thought, frantically trying to think of a way to avoid the Hunteess, who had begun to follow them.
Sousha stumbled a little as he tried to follow the quick, panicked pace that Eclipse had put on. This wasn't a pleasant walk anymore, this was something actually frightening.
Eclipse didn't bother slowing down, noting that the Hunteess had picked up her phone, calling someone. Mentally cursing he carefulay slipped off the path and into the trees.
Sousha hastily walked after him and into the trees, looking up at him desperately for some sign of what was going on. He tripped over twigs and rocks, trying not to slow down his companion but somehow doing so.
Eclipse looked behind him, picking up the pace nervously as he saw the Huntress following. "Sousha I am so sorry…." he murmured softly, knowing the other would freak if he were forced into a conflict with the hunters.
Sousha started to ask for Eclipse to slow down on many occasions, but just ended up tripping and having to cling to him as he was basically dragged along. He started to run to keep up with Eclipse's long strides.
Eclipse kept going, knowing his only chance was to lose them in the trees, hoping they wouldn't catch up. Soon he literally scooped Sousha up, breaking into a light jog, and then a dead run. His grip on Sousha was tight and gently at the same time, cradling him with care as he ran.
Sousha gasped as he was picked up. He tried fighting for his breath but couldn't quite get it back from all of the emotions in his head. He hid into Eclipse's hoodie as they ran, tired of all of the action and adrenaline.
Eclipse swerved deeper into the trees, trying to avoid getting caught but the Huntress and her allies. Cursing under his breath he kept going, suddenly stopping and running the other way, Cursing under his breath since he'd just avoided a trap.
Sousha clung to him with a soft whimper into his clothes, squeezing his eyes shut as he quivered in the other man's arms. He hated being so small and so useless. He wished he had a gun or something to help shoot them like a cool companion, but he didn't even know how to use a gun.
Eclipse hugged him even tighter, hating the fact that the other was scared. Again. Suddenly he skidded to a stop, panting lightly as he locked eyes with the Huntress, and two of her lackeys. "Shit"
(Feel free to take over their end if you want…)
(Sure!)
"We got him! Stop running!" The Huntress screeched, flipping her hair out of her eyes to glare at Eclipse. "Hello, there, werewolf. I saw your marks." Her eyes trailed down to the human quivering in his arms.
"Shoot the spare. We don't need any witnesses." Sousha whimpered after her words as a lackey rose a gun.
Eclipse growled softly, moving to crouch low, setting Sousha down and pulling out another dagger. "I refusee to go down easily…" he growled, watching them carefully for any kind of move.
Sousha scrabbled away into a nearby bush, squealing as he was shot at and the shot barely missed his knee. He shivered in the bushes.
"You and your human friend will be going down. Kill them!" The lackeys nodded and started shooting at Eclipse.
Eclipse moved trying to dodge as many shots as possible though three grazed his leg to varying degrees, and another lodged in his arm. Growling, both out of pain, and to hidevelop is own fear he lunged for one of the men, flicking a knife to take out another hunter's gun hand.
The Huntress grabbed Eclipse and Sousha peeked out of the bush to grab the gun, his hands quivering. He rose it and shot the first lackey that was disarmed, gasping as they dropped to the ground by the bullet he shot into their chest. The second seemed to notice he emerged and shot for him instead, but Sousha shot the Huntress in her leg instead of defending himself. The lady screeched and fell back to grasp her leg, and Sousha got hit in the shoulder and blown back.
Eclipse managed to move and grab another guy, as four more had come out of the trees, shoving this one head first into a tree he lunged for the next. Midl-unge he shifted to his wolf form, a sleek pelt the same colorings as his hair, and the same claw marks on his muzzle as he tackled the Hunter to the ground. His claws digging in as he bared his fangs.
