Cameron opened his eyes again, smiling and tilting his head again to kiss her neck again. "Ava, I'm bored." He moved her away again, gently tickling her tummy again. He reminded himself that he didn't want to sleep. They had to find something to do.
“Why are you so wound up today?” Ava cracks her eyes open and looks up at him. The second he starts to tickle her again, she scoops away and sits up. She snatches an activity book from the nightstand and hands it to him. “Let’s pick something to do then.”
"Ooohhh no I wanna do something with you." He passed the book away and set it down on the bed, straining to reach her again without moving. "I wanna relax here, too. We don't need to go outside." He snuggled into the sheets, grinning up at her.
“We can do something together.” She rolls over, settling right back up against him. “If we stay in the room then I’m definitely going to fall asleep.” Stretching out, she sighs contently. It’s jot her fault that the king sized bed that they’re laying on is so comfortable. There are an insane amount of pillows and the sheets are so soft.
"But I don't wanna leave the room," He said, almost complaining as he sat up out of the sheets again and plopped intentionally on the ground. "We'll live on the ground and do stupid stuff down here." He started to roll around slowly.
She peers over the side of the bed as watches as he rolls around on the ground. “That’s a good enough compromise.” Staying in bed for the rest of the day would suck but neither of them want to leave the room so this works. She rolls out of bed and soon joins him on the floor.
Cameron stretched his back along the floor with a big, wide yawn, relaxing again with a happy sigh. "Good enough? Not good?" He asked, turning his happy face to her. His goofy grin was still planted firmly on his face.
“You should be happy that I’m approving one of your ideas at all,” Ava teases him, still smiling. Stretching out, she makes herself comfortable on the floor. The floor isn’t nearly as nice as the bed but it should help prevent them from falling asleep.
Cameron hummed his song all over again, yawning as he pointed his head up. "So… so what now?" He had soon become bored as he laid on the floor. He looked back at her, his mouth open in the slightest.
“I dunno. Getting on the floor was your idea.” Ava rolls over onto her back with a sigh. It turns out that staying in the room without having a plan gets very boring very fast. She needs to be able to keep herself busy. “Do you have any ideas?” She really hopes that he does.
Cameron watched her move around, shrugging. "I dunno. What do we usually do when we're bored and awake without the dogs?" He cocked an eyebrow. He had a couple ideas, but they were things they could do anywhere. Sort of?
“Are we ever awake and bored without the dogs?” Ava glances over to him. “We usually just leave the house and go out to do something fun. I don’t remember the last time we stayed inside without the dogs and got bored.” They’re almost always doing something so this is odd.
"I dunno. Imean, sometimes, but not a lot. Right?" He tilted his head. He couldn't remember the last time they were alone without Kreja annoying them or getting between them somehow. Honestly, those dogs were just like children.
“We have three dog children. The only time we come close to being alone is if we leave them with a babysitter and we always have a plan when we do that.” She flips over so that she’s on her stomach. “How sad is it that we can’t think of anything to do now that it’s finally just the two of us?”
Cameron watched her flip onto her stomach, looking thoughtful and slightly taken aback. "You're right. What do two people do in a relationship when they're alone and bored?" He followed suit and flipped on his tummy too, still craning his neck to look at her profile against the floor.
Ava sighs in defeat and just drops her head down on the floor. “Watch a movie? Play games? Spa day? Karaoke and dance? I don’t know.” Most of her precious relationship don’t actually count as relationships. The pathetic liar she just came up with makes her realize how ridiculous it is that they’re both this useless.
"Uuuhghhh I guess we could play a game. Maybe a drinking game? I'm sure they have a cooler around here somewhere." He scooted over to the mini-fridge and opened it, still on the ground, and pulled out a bottle of vodka. He was never allowed to play drinking games with his ex-wife, and quite frankly he disliked it.
“A drinking game?” She hums thoughtfully as she considers this. It’s been a while since she’s played one but she always did enjoy it. “What game should we play?” She watches as he pulls a bottle of vodka out of the mini fridge. That’ll definitely work for a game.
Cameron scooted over to their bags and pulled out a box of cards. "We'll play a quick card game. Whoever loses has to take a shot." He scootched back over to her with his items, setting them down. "I didn't grab shot glasses, so just take a mouthful of vodka or something."
Ava nods her head in agreement. “That’s good with me.” Grabbing the edge of the bed, she pulls herself up and readjusts so that she’s properly sitting. She takes the bottle of vodka from him and twists the cap off before setting it down.
Cameron grabbed the bottle back and took a swig of the vodka before sitting up with her, setting down the bottle with a happy noise. The Russian seemed to enjoy his first drink.
"Alright, here." He set up a game of War.
Ava takes the cards from him and pulls them out of the box. Once they’re properly shuffled, she hands them back to him so he can get it all set up. She picks the bottle up again and takes her first swig of the liquid. “Let’s get this game started.”
"Yep, here you go. We'll each have three cards and just put one down. Whoever has the highest wins." He gestured for her to start as he took another drink of vodka, running his tongue over his lips and grinning again.
Picking up her cards, she just takes the first one and sets it down. The card is a seven. She glances over to him and grins. It’s a simple game which makes it easy and fun to play, even if they go overboard with the vodka.
Cameron plopped down one of his cards. It was a three. He grinned back at her and took a third swig of vodka happily. He could down a lot of vodka, being both Russian and a big guy. He slid her the pair of cards and set down a second card. a six.
Ava rolls her eyes in amusement at him. She sets the pair of cards aside before selecting her next card, a four. After placing it down, she takes the bottle and takes a drink. She drinks a lot more than the average person and has built up a tolerance of sorts so she can hold her liquor well.
Cameron watched her drink and collected the pair of cards, humming softly. He gestured for her to start again, pulling the vodka in the middle and sitting up with a yawn.
"This is fun, eh? Vodka's good."
Ava sets down her last card with a hum. It shouldn’t be too hard to beat the two she put down. She takes the bottle and takes a drink. “Yes to both.” Vodka is always good and drinking games are usually pretty fun.
Cameron set down a one that somehow lost to her pathetic two and stuck out his arm. "Gimme, you're hogging the bottle," He said jokingly with a grin. He didn't feel buzzed at all, just wanted more vodka.
Ava grins at him when he actually looses to her two. She sticks her tongue out at him before taking another swig. “There ya go.” Once done, she finally passed the bottle to him. “Does this mean that I win?”
